  1. I am trying to check settings for "Virtual reality" i Nvidia control panel. Browsing to DCS.EXE, and in the control panel it is (re)named to: "Digital combat simulator: Black shark", and have no support for vr settings. I do not even own the Black shark module. What is going on?
  2. Halp! I doubleclick in the field for this function, but it gives no response at all. I can easily assign other commands. What is going on?
  3. I lost functions on some buttons on my Warthog Hotas yesterday. I do have a no-name-Xbox-ish PC-controller that goes into sleep mode. (Via bluetooth USB dongle) Reading this thread, I'm sure it is the cause.
  4. From what I understand, the torque information (in hud and mfd) is based on current, real time load on the rotors. Is there a way to see the state of the collective in percentage or smth?
  5. I was chasing that idea for some time. I did make it work on my former throttle, but on a rotary: Meh.. I recently got that same hotas, and assigned vr zoom to a button in stead on that throttle. It works very well for MFD's.
  6. I got it! Sat up a training mission with 5 BTR 80s. "Active pause" until I got them, using your recipies. Also: Now, I have a china hat. Right there: "China hat forward long,TMS Forward Short"
  7. Thank you gents. It might be that the China hat is involved in slaving. I heavily suspect there is a Warthog hotas waiting for me when I get home today. (My girlfriend is spoiling me on my birthday) It has a China hat afaik. Combined with your inputs (pun intended) It would make this a great afternoon for me.
  8. "You can create a SPI with it and slave the mavs to that point" Eureka! Thank you so much!
  9. What is the targeting pod for? I find target, zoom in, and center it in pod. I can change a few modes with the dms. (But there is no lock.) I still have to slew the (now blurry) and realtively wide angled MAV camera and find the same target to make it lock so I can fire a Maverick on it. Some info miss me on every lesson I try to take, be it youtube, or "training" missions.
  10. It went into rocking chair mode. I've had that happen to me on every flight since last update occasions. Even with George by the stick. George should get some lullaby tune in his repertoire. I could go zzzz.
  11. I found it now. I have fooled my self; Roll trim wheel was still assigned to that rotary on my throttle. I could have sweared... Thank you so much gentlemen for your engagement.
  12. I'm hesitant to make that conclusion, as I see no signs in other modules.. Anyhoo, I'm pretty darn certain there is a Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog coming my way on my birthday later this month.
  13. I can see the spontaneous trim change in the "Right ctrl-enter" window-thing.. The other day, it behaved as if it was in some kind of "latch mode"; It returned to zero by it self after I've moved it.
  14. Autopilot off. I have USB joystick into throttle, and throttle into PC. I have some kind of bluetooth x-box controller with a dongle that is made for PC. (Not really an xbox controller) Plus a set of CH products (yoke not connected) USB pedals. Today I suspect a rotary on the throttle. Because yesterday I assigned one of those two as zoom for the TGP. The other one has been assigned to trim. (Did not work well, so I un-bound it) I must check as I get home from work
  15. Without any reason, it trims to the right in plain flight. I have a hat bound to trim, and that one does not drift or need calibration. The hat never sends any signal in A10, F18 or the AH64 without me moving it. But in The F16 I have to correct trim to center regularly without having fired any wing mounted ordonnance. I don't know what is triggering this. Anyone?
  16. Yesterday, I killed my first target with a Maverick. Today I killed my first target(s) with laser guided GBU10 -There has been a lot of confusion and frustrations. Now I'm having a beer. DCS is so cool!
  17. Let me know how it is user related: I'm slowing George down in steps. Last one from 40 to 0 knots. With zero winds he continues forward at ca. 20 knots. I turn 90º four times. He is moving forward in all directions. Does not happen in stable.
  18. Was hoping to avoid using open beta again. AH 64D is an unflyable yoyo. Even with winds at 0, George cannot keep a steady hover. Not even close. Minimum forward speed @ ca. 20 knots, when I "punch in" zero; In all headings/directions! Take offs that work well in stable versions, ends in exaggerated rolls Winds still at zero. All other maps are fine (in stable version) Marianas runs fine. Falklands turned into jerk-o-rama with only two stationary enemy units on the ground. Surprisingly, because there are no visible hi end textures or objects. F16 and F18 at higher altitudes were problem free. (Did not take off from ground) #Oculus Quest 2
  19. Instant action; Dogfight. My wingman speak russian. Blyat!
  20. Today I fired rockets from an extreme position; tail up 60º and drifting right. With targets right in front of me, aimpoint/beam slightly off, I saw rockets going straight 90º to the right of my orientation, as if they came from another gunship to my left. Was expecting to hit between the trucks, but in spite of beeing just 20 feet off the ground, rockets hit so far to the right, I could not even see impacts. The trucks survived, and I had to find new posistion and hit them with hellfire.
  21. I've been dreaming about this since Jane's apache longbow/gold got unplayable through windows. Then this came up at the same time as I found Oculus quest 2 to be within my budget. (I had to get a new graphics card as well, but worth it) So I am overwhelmed by the package; The quality, the philosophy of the designers/devs, the incredible attention to detail. I got so exited I got the F16, F18 and the A10 as they were on an irresistible sale in may. Plus a few terrains. A notch better than "USAF" from the ninetees. I can remember the unbearable rotor sound-loop of the Janes AH 64. It wore me down. This module has excellent sound, still I really do get a few deja vu's from time to time when in cpg seat and communicating with George. There must be some code there from that old game. This module seem to have less bugs than the other ones I bought, in spite of being "younger". Today was one of those rare days of summer-in-may here up north in Norway. Still, as I left work, I knew I was going to get straight into the Oculus when I got home. Still I am erh.. "surprised" of how many times I have to "load". Starting game loads twice. Starting a mission has what? three loading screens? Four?
  22. You assumed correctly. I don't know that I froze the map, but "FRZ" it is! Lé culprit. Still, there is some "anomaly"; Here is the target point/coordinates (69584412), and the building on fire. Somewhat "off" to put it mildly. (I'm in VR and drifting, hence the not-centered-building..) null
  23. It would seem I was caught out. But I slewed towards the target point. Fired laser to update image on the map. But the target was not there, and the tads were looking at wilderness. This goes for both target points. i will try the same mission again now..
  24. Yes, Ramsay. That's the mission. In mission #2 I was given coordinates for a house. I changed map to "chart" to find it. So I lazed the tg point I created. (As in laze, and miss, looking at the chart to adjust, until I was on top of it with the laser. -In cpg seat). I ended up looking at some empty fields, and using some long buildings in a row as reference, I saw that they were on the wrong position. (Upside down, reversed or flip flopped) And, No, I'm not sure whether it is related to the map, the ah64 or the mission. But I don't see how it can be related to the mission.
