Thx, Tepnox. I am using air link, but you are right. I somehow had lowered the bitrate for the wifi in Oculus software. That lead to the compression, and the windows views suffered the most. Specially when looking through two layers of glass. (AH64 pilot seat, and through any HUD)

Quest2 out side world blurry and messy But why . ??
Moxica replied to KoN's topic in Virtual Reality
Thank you for your suggestions. I have somehow put the bandwith for the oculus air link to 0 due to some misunderstanding. That solved the graphics compression "anomalies" I experienced. Now I can finally fine tune towards a sweet spot again. Almost there.. This is easy in comparison. -
In VR my screen is small and is inside the hangar
Moxica replied to mibo's topic in DCS World Tutorial & Help Requests
That is normal. It depends on the moment of "synchronisation" You can bind a key to reset. I have numeric key 5 It might even be the default key: Try looking straight ahead and press numeric key 5 Bind if it does not work. -
Quest2 out side world blurry and messy But why . ??

Sadly, no. I use Oculus link. I tried cable, but there was no difference. I will check out bit rate asap. I can not remember changing it, though, but that would be one of the things I havent tried. Thank you! -
Ookay? I don't see any logic here, though.. ..in two weeks?

I have fairly recently found the Modifier function to cover my needs regarding the tedac. I assign the pinky lever on the joystick as modifier, activating when in CPG seat. -Effectively giving me two different joystick setups on the fly. My two playstation controllers retired immediately. Also: I know what to do when the radar arrives.

Quest2 out side world blurry and messy But why . ??

Thank you. Yes. I changed that to 0,10. However; changing it back to 0,42 made no difference. I feel like I've tried everything, but the weird blur remain. Resetting Nvidia control panel; I tried the VR preset in DCS options, I tried all frequency settings in Oculus interface. Close ground textures are smeared, and has no textures. Even the visible airframe just outside the window is blurry. PS! I found that it has something to do with how glass is rendered; Looking out through side window in F18 on Supercarrier is better in sideview than when looking at the deck through both hud and canopy. In AH 64 it is more blurry through both glasses from Pilot seat than the single window in CPG seat. -

Happened to me as well. It was super fine a couple of days ago. I changed a lot in an attempt to fix the shimmering clouds. Now all of the outside is blurry and has what looks like jpg artifacts. I've tried every setting, but nothing helps. -
I was trying to get rid of the incredibly annoying shimmering clouds yesterday, and changed a lot of settings to no avail. Today, looking through the glass windows (esp. the double glass straigh ahead from pilot seat) it is so bad, it looks like an over compressed jpg picture. It has the signs of a typical jpg anomaly when manipulated to much. I have tried to repair the setting, but nothing helps. I have reset the Nvidia control panel settings. Tried every setting in DCS/options. Anyone have an idea how I can get back my sharp settings?

Hey, I did this! I don't know how,or have the tech to "master" so you might have to turn up the volume. In my "cabin" in some nothern Norwegian mountains.

Give it a go. -Or not.

Since it hasn't been fixed yet, I wonder if there is a way to get rid of those clouds. Not all of them behave like this. I'm flying an excellent and stunningly beautiful campaign. Those shimmering clouds are impossible to ignore. -Ruining a huge part of the experience, and reducing the value of my investments significantly. (Fanbois will fan)

I cleared the guardian history within the Oculus menu. It appears to have solved the problem. I even got a desent framerate on the ship-landing-quickstart at the notorious Marianas. (Until I've landed. Then the slideshow started again) So I alt tabbed out, and back in a couple of times, and the framerate got acceptable again.
-
No light has changed. I use same source. Today was the worst: Falklands, Ah-64 Many targets, horrible framerate. It "recentered" as soon as I looked at targets outside to the left or right. -And sometimes when looking forward again. Darn, the amount of technical "challenges" this sim has brought. I hardly get to fly.
-
I normally press 5 on numeric keyboard if head posistion gets out of whack. Today, it happens if I lean hard to get closer to a button, or look out the window. I have no idea why i started behaving like this, or how to make it stop. Do any of you?

Halp! I set a unit (red unit on the map) to run to the road, and I want it to run through a couple of waypoints, until the last one. Unit is triggered by AH 64 crossing a trigger zone. It spawns, and starts to run, but when aircraft get closer, the unit stops, and fires at the helo and the car. I've set ROE= Weapons hold, but it (he) stops and opens fire; Does not move to waypoints. How do I get it to run all the way to WP3? -
I don't think "Terrain textures" affects VR, and can be set to Low, and there will be no difference in VR. Only in screen mirror image.
-
I asked the same question regarding some user campaign/mission; It turned out I had to kill the guy standing next to the bridge in order to make it blow up. Some triggerlogic.
-
Wow! That was just what the doctor ordered! Thanks a lot! I read somewhere that I had to edit some *.lua file to turn of the SCAS. I tested just now. Different world! I repeat: Thanks a lot!
-
I agree, and thx! Lately I've focused more on tiny movements, and using VR I get quite good feedback on vertical movement. Somehow my challenge is connected to the weird effect the SCAS has on the pedals; It counter small movements, reducing them to zero effect.

Swedish Military Assets for DCS by Currenthill

I'm hovering behind private "Fingal Ohlsson" here in an AH 64, packing 16 Hellfires. There's an S-tank" behind us for good measure. He is totally making me unemployed. That armoured convoy could not come near our roadblock. -Best thing since yanagiba-sliced sushi.- 460 replies
