  1. IRL it doesnt take 2 harms to take out a sam with its 150lb warhead... Pretty obvious after 1 harm hits, that sam is not still engaging targets, yet I dont see that playing out in game.

  6. Curious if the aim-54 is now working like it did in the past? Dont want to drop money unless that missile is working correctly! I ask because it looked like it worked 1-2 years ago than something changed.. than they tried fixing it. DCS: F-14 Tomcat by Heatblur Simulations - Hotfix February 4th 2022 Adjusted AIM-54 terminal guidance, significantly improving AIM-54 overall performance. If it didnt break they wouldnt have said they improved its performance.
  7. Even their new kalibr cruise missile is having a high failure rate.
  8. U.S weapons tend to be understated on paper performance wise, while Soviet made weapons are overstated on paper.. The 120 should see a decent bump here and Soviet missiles should be failing about 60% of the time (at least that's what DoD estimates how their missiles are performing in Ukraine). More or less any soviet jet shooting a missile should need only but a flare or 2 to fool it and should probably all out fail a certain % of the time.

  10. So, for anyone newer using laser guided bombs, if you run into issues after your first successful bomb dropped, make sure your laser is turned back on! I have read a few threads here with some thinking there was a bug and said first bomb was successful, everything else after missed. Happened to me as well, until I noticed the laser turns to the off position after a bomb is dropped each time.
  11. Still happening, seems like most times I have 4 harms loaded up with 1 large bomb on station 5 ... Maybe the devs can add code.. if this than that .. IE; IF conditions are met and weapon doesn't fire, THAN throw an exception.
  12. Strange.. a real aim-54 went over 100 nautical miles hitting mach 5.
  13. I been playing 3 weeks, I'm already very proficient with the hornet, decent with the apache, not great but can get through missions no probs, and now starting to fiddle with the F16 which I think is harder than the hornet. No way is this game to literal.
  14. In the mission planning pdf, showing us ways to plan attack of target, it talks about having cobra attack an assigned SAM site .. Question is, how do you assign them a specific site? Ie; Metro Yellow, Gold etc ..

I know those making campaigns put in a tremendous amount of effort and time and do a great job, if I could offer a suggestion, please keep the objective short and sweet, I've played quite a few missions within a campaign that includes story telling, banter and other irrelevant talk that just doesn't belong in the objective and really clutters the mission objective. ED's default campaigns and missions should be used as a guide as they hit the nail on the head with this and do a wonderful job at keeping the objective clear, concise and to the point.
  16. Looking for opinions, having tried a few campaigns out already, which in your opinion have the most combat? I know Rising Squall is up there and I have played that one, I am looking for campaigns with minimal banter and story telling!
  17. Would love to have a B-52 Module, strategic long range bombing missions, would probably asking to much and maybe not possible for a B-2 Spirit. For additional air support a AC-130 Gunship module would be awesome!
  18. 5,6,7 don't have H-OFF yet Those are ordered bottom going up... upper screenshots showing H-off is the last 1's taken in which harm doesnt fire.

  21. Is there any current bugs with HARM on F18? I have all settings correct MA on, A/g, sensor left to bring up diamond in corner, uncaged, etc ... see the H Off over target box on hud, but harm will not fire. Othertimes it does fire without any issues... Anyone experience this?
  22. I'm about half way through the campaign, my thoughts, to the point. Pro's - Probably 1 of the most action filled campaigns, you will be always bombing targets or A/A combat each missions, there isn't pointless flying around for a few hours. - 30-45 min in length each mission, great if you dont have tons of time. - Layout is great, each mission seems to fulfill a purpose. Cons - The anime voice overs an theme is atrocious, the first few missions I nearly wanted to take my head phones off. That include the anime music beat playing. Some may enjoy it, I certainly haven't. Don't get me wrong, the voiceovers are professionally done, it's just the whole anime theme in itself, did not enjoy. Would much prefer military jargon.
