  1. 20" then 3-5" from memory
  2. Do Snakeeyes have delay (rear) fuze? (real question, don't know, wanted to be sure it's checked be4)
  3. Stealth upgrade :D
  4. Actually, some people have flown both the real aicraft and the DCS module. And their feedback is more on the line of "in this or that situation, the DCS FM still lacks some stability".
  5. Well spotted BarTzi :) The aircraft position is: N 41° 36' 26" E 041° 36' 26" (Lat Long) or N 41° 36.433' E 041° 36.516' (Lat Long Decimal) The instructor asks for entering N 41 36 26 and E 041 36 31 which is wrong. He should ask for entering N 41 36 43 and E 041 36 52 which would be corred (rounded values of Lat Long Decimal = what's the aircraft uses) ++ Az'
  6. Didn't test it with loadout, but the MIL power is in fact just fine with a clean aircraft.
  7. It should not select the MAGIC. It should not break the lock. It should slave the MAGIC seeker to the radar lock. (Didn't fly test it; the above is to help you determine if there is a bug or not).
  8. 2. is expected behaviour; not a bug. You set (manually) the slope to obtain selected altitude. The ALT AFF remains amber. You can still adjust slope (trim hat). When it turns green, you cannot adust anymore, it's the capture altitude time. [edit] manual needs updating on that.
  9. Well I didn't have any issue with 1.5.4...
  10. That doesn't solve what compulse said.
  11. G alone doesn't mean that much. Must be correled with speed to give turn rate (which is what matters, here)
  12. Indeed you can't. No purely hydraulic or mechanic backup. That's a (far too) common misconception. ;)
  13. Hi, One step is forgotten (I think it wasn't implemented in the simulator when missions were made and checked) in the first 'start up' mission: The backup ADI should be energized and uncaged. This can be done during the ALN process (so as to "use" idle time). 1/ Energize it = through the CGMS switch on the right (next to the PSM panel): put this switch to the CGM + H. SEC (middle) position. (the label is currently missing in the sim) 2/ If needed (to check) = uncage the backup ADI by pressing the knob next to it. 3/ If needed = set its pitch by rotating the same knob. ++ Az'
  14. Nope please!! The logic is to set the most-right thing = the bearing. At this point both the needle and the DME counter display the selected (bearing) value. Then move the mode knob one step left and set the distance. At this point the needle remains on the bearing setting and the DME counter "only" shows the distance you're setting. The you only have to move the mode knob one more step to the left and you're in VAD active mode.
  15. How do you say Landing Gear in German? Look there.:book: Basic controls have all chances of being localized. Specific controls manifestly aren't (yet). To find a control, you may also use it: press G on this screen, and you'll be moved to where G is used ;)
  16. Looks great, Zeus!! Thanks and kudos :)
  17. @ Robin: you got it right :) Simple : I don't ignore it. On the contrary, I agree with jojo (and I also knew it before he posted). You may refer to my older posts about the matter FWIW (in other threads). Nothing is really plug & play on aircraft from this generation. This doesn't change how I feel about DCS implementation: as the N (which has ~same avionics level as the C) can have it, then just plug the plus, minus and data cables, apply the same upgrade on C's RWRs as was applied on Ns (by the way: same RWR device and antennas) and voilà.
  18. You must do the short one. ;) The long one is done on specific occasions, after flight. The short one is mandatory before every take-off.
  19. ^^ this  To be fair, they do in Sahel for the past years. And actually it's a good example: no serious manpads threat there, no DDM mounted. OTOH, NVGs needed, let's carry them (after having re-vamped the entire cockpit lighting so it's compatible, which we don't have in DCS). I'm all for a general quality control, and my understanding is that ED actually does that for sensitive areas. Your point about the French missiles is really out of sync: ED versions were crap (for lack of attention, to the point of being ridiculous), and Razbam versions are according to what little we know of real specs. Not really a bickering point here, IMO ;) (if other missiles need upgrade, that's up to their dev to make it ASAP; I really don't like the idea of asking Razbam to underpower their missiles because other are (seem?) underpowered at the moment)
  20. re_coreSix: You feel it's unrealistic. You'll have the option to not use it. I feel it's realistic (*). I'll have the option to use it. Everybody wins :) (*) and I'm knowledgeable enough on the aircraft to know it's not been used so far IRL, but also that provisions were made to use it on French Cs, should the need arise; and in fact, with the C deployed in Africa at least twice since 2014 in support of Ds, should a serious manpad threat materialize there, we would quickly see the DDM appear on the Cs (through same upgrade as was made on Ns & Ds, the French dedicated "strikers" 2000 variants). ;)
  21. I think the "pod" approach is best, this way we may even think of carrying the pylon+DDM without missile. @ Zeus, nice news :) could you please ensure that loading rockets on the external point (with their own pylon, non D2M compatible), will disallow the D2M carrying pylon to be used? Would be nice, if not too tricky.
  22. Yes but the AP standby paddle does that to. And it's even simpler to use, because it's on the stick (in fact IRL it's made so that when the pilot takes the stick in hand, he automatically presses this paddle; this is how the AP is used normally). Better to map this one IMO, most useful! (not using TARGET or SST: you'll soon need to maintain AP standby while using other controls).
  23. Indeed. And as you would have used the "Charges" mode of the FBW, you'd be limited to a load factor of +5.5g, thus keeping your tanks attached :) The ability to select which tank to jettison (i.e. centre one or wing ones) was introduced on the 2000-5. It is not available on the C. The "break point" of the pylons (certainly NOT an auto-drop feature per se) is a last resort thing, not to be used intentionnally.

    EP warning light

That's a good catch. Reason is re-coding the switch from a 2-position to a 3-position one. Keyboard was probably overlooked (I mainly use mouse).

Hi Gators, 1. is an old issue, already reported internally and I guess there are already topics about it IRRC (perhaps in the bugs section?); my guess is it's low priority (that would be my opinion too). 2. is recent behaviour, already known & reported all the same; here is where it's been mentionned: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2958770#post2958770 ... and acknowledged: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=175156&page=9 ++ Az'
