  2. It is just you. :) Guys who have actual time on the 2000 feel the DCS model (a few monthes back, it's better now) was a bit too much jittery and shaky. ;)
  3. Well, then probably BF needs some tuning. You don't scramble from cold & dark IRL. You prep the aircraft. Then it's ready to scramble. And when need arises, you start up and take off far quicker than 4 or 8 minutes. That's QRA. I get it may be impossible (for now) to set exactly this up in DCS. But there are probably ways to make it somehow similar, to even ground without pushing pilots to depart from approved moves and into a kind of air-quake. For example, no pilot ever took off IRL for a fight without a functionnal INS. It's against SOPs (and logic). Cap/Horizon Secours are just this, secours = emergency; that means in case of in-flight failure. ;)
  4. Errr OK; but what's your point? :)
  5. Afterburner
  6. I wouldn't be so sure, when ITR is involved ;)
  7. Yes there is. CMGS (compas gyro-magnétique secours / emergency gyro-magnetic compass). PSM left knob on VEI (<= the fact that this is needed may be a bug, AFAIK; but it's an easy-to-workaround one) Heading/horizon switch to forward (forces use of CGMS-provided heading).
  8. @crow0827 I would dare to say your question is kinda moot: IRL, the jammer doesn't work as an "on/off" pilot-controlled noise-making-only thing like it does in DCS.
  9. Yes, it is confusing and needs to be fixed. It's known and on the todo list. K1/K2 don't exist. S/P just like other buttons should replace this. CAS button is only for air-to-ground. For air-to-air, no way to select guns through PCA, only via throttle.
  10. Indeed, current implementation is more like option 3. But as we can see, not the best idea :)
  11. Me too. In fact, the aircraft is designed to be flown with AP engaged most of the time. Only "dynamic" phases (attack run, air-to-air close engagement, air refuel, take off/landing) are flown AP Off.
  12. Tu peux avoir du français. Lis les topics épinglés de la présente salle. C'est le fichier de mission qui enregistre la livrée appliquée à chaque appareil. Fais ta modif, enregistre la mission (ou une copie de celle-ci) et voilà.
  13. Hi The ALT AFF mode works as intended (on principle) in the sim now. Precision needs tuning ( for next update, see CptSmiley's recent posts in pending updates thread) but the principle is OK. The current manual is OTOH outdated on this point. I'm sure Razbam will update it, but this may take some time. Fly safe Az'
  14. It will come in a next update.
  15. Hi If this is implemented, I suggest to use CW and CCW rather than right and left. This way it would be coherent with other modules.
  16. @Zeus yep I understood that with your previous answer. Works for me, thanks :) I guess you already thought about this, but just in case: special liveries (anniversary, tiger...) would require a way to deactivate the registration/serial addendums (because different colors or placement on special liveries = need to be done in the skin files directly). Usually this is done by selecting side # 0 in the editor. When we were on FC2, there was a way for the skin creator to set this by default. I don't know if this "option" still exists in DCS World but it would be neat to have it.
  17. Oh, OK got it. Very nice :)
  18. Actually, the "airbase code" is being abandonned to return back to the old system of wings number. So your 115-xx aircraft is (or will soon) be re-coded 5-xx (Orange airbase homes the FAF 5th fighter wing). Will we be able to use less than 3 caracters ? 5-xx or 33-xx are realistic registrations. 005-xx or 033-xx are not. I'm glad to see you implement this system, it'll bring a nice variety :) kudos :)
  19. Again : no. Sorry. When BR system switch is On, then V light is On. It may sound a bit weird at first (because jammer has two status lights instead of only one for RWR or decoy launcher) but it is correct: BR means brouilleur on the switch = relates to the powering of the jammer system in a whole. When "just" powered, it remains in listening (= V / veille) mode. Veille is in the sense of listening, not stand by, here. BR means brouillage on the light = relates to the activation of the jamming emitter (=actively jamming) BR light indicates that the jamming is active. It has the exact same purpose as the * of the F-15 (which * doesn't exist on the 2000).
  20. Errr... not exactly, sorry Zeus. Circuits 1 & 2 are independent. Sure, you still can fly the jet with one of them only (flight controls use dual input); but you'll loose pressure (and get the light) on the affected circuit (and loose some non-life-threatening features). On that, you're perfectly right :)
  21. Nope. That's not like this IRL. Both V and BR lights are part of the Jammer system. Nope. V is about the "listening" part of the jammer (which has to "listen" in order to be able to correctly "emit"=jam). Yes. That is what the BR light does. Indeed. I explained why above :)
  22. I prefer option #2, but I guess I can live with #1 too. :) Thanks, Zeus. No. Yes. ++ Az'
  23. Thanks BD :)
