  1. At first I thought it was very different after the patch, and I had some trouble, but a lot of it may have been in my head as I very quickly resolved it. (Switching back and forth between F-16 and A-4 can produce some interesting results in my flying) It did seem like trimming nose high for low speed produced some odd behavior like flyups. Again, it could have been me.
  2. Very smart. I noticed the automatically pulled airbase freqs in the briefing don't pull assigned carrier freqs. That's kinda important. Nevermind AWACS or tanker.
  3. NNNNNNNNOPE. Think it was (mostly) me. And maybe there was a glitch. The director lights are still hard to see, but I was able to tank a little. I could even see the lights if I squinted.
  4. Bumping this to make a request: Maybe have an option to see all the freqs, but not auto change the radio. It helps. Or maybe make an option to be able to see a unit's freq when you click on them on the f-10 map. Or just a kneeboard page that gathers that info for you for freqs on your side.
  5. Maybe it's me, but midair refueling just got a lot harder. Or it is in my F-16. Seems like the boom got less forgiving. Great feature when the director lights are impossible to see in certain lighting (morning on the Syria map for one). Is that a real feature of the KC-135 director lights, or is that a game thing? Still learning my midair refueling proficiency, but usually it's fuel stop fuel stop fuel stop and on. I got 1 quick successful connection just now and that was it. And as a little time went on and the sun got a little higher, I just straight up couldn't see the director lights. Maybe they turned off? The right side fore/aft one has always been hard to see, but I could barely, and then not at all see any of them. And it would seem like I was a good spot (from memory) but the boom wouldn't connect. I think there's a bug where they tell you return to precontact, but you can't ask permission again. Didn't seem evident with the A4 and the hose and drogue. Also, since at least the last patch, the hose and drogue crew calls "break away!" way to easily.
  6. Are VRP/VIP only visible in AG mode? Was trying to use one of them to set up reference points for landing and didn't see anything on the HUD. Is that correct behavior?
  7. Aha, ok.
  8. Is there any onboard self protection jamming? I thought the F-16 had that (maybe it depends on the block/build/upgrade). I also find it curious that the switches are defaulted to 1st cell being selected always (hints at onboard to me) and default mode being XMIT barrage mode.
  9. I've had this trouble too, I think. If you check infinite ammo so you can just practice, they weapons only work twice, but they are still there on the pylons. Seems mostly to be an issue with guided weapons, but may be an issue with dumb bombs too.
  10. Yeah, not being able to have a moving SPI with the FCR in GMT is a killer. Just tried same setup again with D model Mavericks without TGP and you really can't see anything. Like, maybe it's a zoom thing? Then not being able to follow with radar is awful. Also, locking GMT target (TMS up) seems to put the radar on Freeze. Smart. Maybe I should have gotten the F/A-18? Seems a little more fleshed out. PS, Isn't INERTIAL point track supposed to be able to kinda follow if target goes behind trees for a sec? Isn't that why it's called that? Because it tries to follow along even if it looses LOS for a second?
  11. It won't slave to moving targets on the radar. GMT radar got stuck in FZ when I tried active jamming, even after turning it off. Tried resetting power, but just couldn't unlock and unfreeze no matter now many times I did TMS down on each SOI. TGP (which I thought I put in inertial point) will NOT hold a lock on a moving vehicle. And god forbid it goes behind a tree. Or keeps moving in a straight line. Or the crew blinks. What the heck? Trying to use LGBs to bomb some moving tanks. Nightmare. The ZSU just keeps hitting me. The 1 I am trying to hit first, but can't keep a lock on. I sorta got it to slave to the radar at first, but it doesn't keep up with the moving target. Targets have very clear contrast, but it won't stay on it anyway. Is this normal? I'm using open beta, but I don't think there's been an update yet this month. Yes, I am in CCRP or DTOS, not CCIP. I know CCIP fixes the TGP forward. I have been watching Wags's and Grim Reapers videos. Just having a lot of trouble today trying to attack moving targets with the TGP.
