  1. I can't even replicate it now. It fixed itself maybe.
  2. Hm. Thanks for trying. It seems to be when bullseye isn't activated through the DED. Or it went away.
  3. I posted about this in another thread, but figured I better crosspost it here so the right people see it. Screenshots and tracks are in my posts.
  4. Interesting. Why was it changed then? I too am getting duds.
  5. Tracks https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1fkuxTQYpbFchnIle374zMkGsGwdzDc2M?usp=sharing
  6. Here is another 1 after mission restart where I put in 2 destinations as steerpoint 1 and 2, and you can clearly see a difference in miles between the HUD and the HSD. Not sure when it happened, but I'm still taxiing, so fairly quickly off. It says 3 Miles on the HUD, but on the HSD, you can see it's about 30 to 35 miles. That's off by 10x! I
  7. I am noticing that waypoints on the ground report wrong distances. This is since the last 2 beta updates (today's and the one the other day). Really messes with landing procedures. The position on the HSD/HAD/HUD will be right, but the distance measurement is way off. Screenshots attached. It is also off on the HSI down there below the frame. nullas you can see, the distance shown on the HUD is around 4x the actual distance on the F10 map. It's usually less when it happens. This latest example is the most extreme. Waypoints up in the air don't appear to have this problem. This particular waypoint was from a HUD mark. It WAS accurate. Had the SPI right on the rubber marks at the end of the runway. Switch back to it later and it distance is FUBAR'd. It also is an issue with preset waypoints from the mission design. This is in Singleplayer. Changing waypoints back and forth does not fix it. Anyone else getting this? Still flying the mission, so I guess I can include a (very long) track file.null
  8. Neutral airports providing fuel should really be a thing. I've seen military flights get fuel at civ airports. Probably happens all the time.
  9. I can't even get them to attack "my target" It's right there in the menu. Send a SPI? Buddy lase? No response. It's really annoying how much less robust the AI commands are compared to Operation Flashpoint from 2001. Nevermind the editor.
  10. My impression was that the Navy/Marines uses them, but not the AF/ANG.
  11. Some aft trim can help sometimes on landing. I noticed in a crosswind that I can just let it crab on its own and it seems to work. Very little roll or yaw input until the end to get the wheels to touch down more evenly. How about that yaw instability after the last few updates? oof. They just moved it from high speed to landing.
  12. This does seem to be a problem.
  13. Ok, so stay at 2000' above airfield, got it. That dashed line when wheels are down is 2.5 degrees, right?
  14. Roostertail from low flying fast jets would be great too! Kinda weird how Arma 3 had a lot of this stuff years ago, and DCS doesn't. Like, where are the stars?
  15. Man, do some people need to fill out a Butthurt Report Form for HR? Relax. Like, is the Sniper pod even that noticeably different from the LITENING? The sky is not falling.
  16. Did any of you pull a bunch of G's before heading to that waypoint? Shouldn't INS drift be expected then? Gonna be nice when we can GPS update.
  17. Getting a lot better. But I'm still curious what the optimum altitude above the airfield I should be at 10 miles. I haven't quite gotten it.
  18. Thanks. Working on my landings. I was bouncing a bit. Now after watching some videos on straight in landings and break landings, I'm running over the runway. Just more practice I guess. I am aware of all the symbology I need to line up. I think it's my touchdowns and rollouts that are my problem. The HUD symbology actually makes it super easy to touch down right where I should, even at a decent alpha.
  19. Program 5 is the slap switch, correct? What is 6?
  20. When setting up for final, what altitude AGL (from the runway's height, obviously) and what distance (at least in slant range, if not straight line, too) do I want to aim for? (Not doing a break landing)
