This is a good deal.

Out of the box, that's already better than my FSX with a whole bunch of add ons. FPS seems good too.

Just logged on (PS3) and found a 760+ MB patch waiting for me. Here is a list of fixes: http://www.platformnation.com/2011/11/29/battlefield-3-gets-updated-on-consoles/ (not nearly enough to cover that many bytes). Karkand already lurking in the innards?

For me, there is no strain at all. Brightness is at normal levels. Sitting that close actually approximates what I imagine sitting in a real pit would look like, and the immersion is great. That said, I think you'll be more than happy with a 42 inch (even with just a single display). I often run with just the HUD display, which works well and gives me approximately 10 more FPS. I just wish ED would provide a 'bathtub' view so that you could actually see the wings and tail when looking in that direction.

That's better than my landline lol. Ping is the key for gaming. A max of 100-150 is what you need to have a decent chance in shooters. 50 and you're laughing.
