I have used this one in the past to show off DCS, so long as you can get past some of the video being sped up for effect and being mainly the F-14 and F-18. Failing that maybe look through Keller Dominik's channel for something? He posted some good stuff over the years. https://www.youtube.com/@kellerdominik7256

Didn't know you could bind controls from the rear cockpit while in the front, I always assumed it was like the Tomcat.
-
Once you are up and in the air you don't need to jump in the back seat, but for a cold start you do need to briefly jump out back to turn on your RWR, countermeasures, TPOD, and laser.

MWS with IR SAMs and hit tottally lacking in feel
Caveman655 replied to DmitriKozlowsky's topic in DCS: A-10C II Tank Killer
MWS has a blind spot beneath the aircraft similar to your RWR, if you were flying directly above the MANPAD when it was fired then your MWS would never have detected it and your auto CMS will not go off, if you have Tacview I would go back and look at it to see what angle the missile got you from. It don't explain the lack of any feedback from the impact though. -

I loaded up DCS with the VR disabled to get you a new track file, when I did my trim input my view shot off to the left. Apparently it somehow got a double bind between my trim and my view controls but when I hit the input in the control menu it still listed it as a trim control. I cleared off all view control settings and now its working fine. Thank you

I would say the F-18 is easier to learn personally. There is also the fact that while there are other aircraft that can do most jobs better then the F-18 can(i.e. A-10 for CAS, F-15E for strike, F-16 for SEAD, etc), but there is no jet out there that can do everything as well as the F-18.
-
I have no left roll trim but all other directions work. This problem seems to be limited to the A-10 since no other aircraft is giving me issue. I double and triple checked my bindings and everything checks out. Track file attached. A-10 Trim.trk

We should of known this update would not have happened, it was supposed to have big upgrades for the super carrier, and we call know that ED does not update the super carrier.
-
Does this also apply to the night vision? That seemed like a weird thing to leave out of EA, but wouldn't be bad if we at least get some basic optics.

Any update on Supercarrier being updated
Caveman655 replied to Tomcat388th's topic in DCS: Supercarrier
Pretty sad when you realize that is literally 50% of the player aircraft for the SC(not counting the floating Russian dumpster fire) -
This was the very first campaign I ever bought and played in DCS and while I do have very fond memories of it I have been spoiled now by full fidelity modules. With the Strike Eagle being out now and in desperate need of some campaigns of its own I got to ask, how difficult would it be to convert The Georgian War to fly the F-15E?
-
Would ED be able to set it up that we only have a single default skin installed for each of the aircraft in the game and let us pick and choose which ones we want to install the full skin collection for as a space saving measure. As a example I frequently fly the F-14, but don't own the F-4. So for me its a waste of nearly 12GB of space to have all the skins downloaded for the F-4. There is already a similar system in place for campaigns so how difficult would it be to set this up for skins?

There is also some fun to be had with it, like turning the carrier's CWIS on a friend who is about to land. Don't try this on a public server or against a friend who lacks a sense of humor though or things can turn ugly

I am completely against having a subscription in DCS, but at the same time the constant early access model that ED uses is not a good one. The temptation will always be there for the next project to bring in that EA money without finishing the current project(looking at the super carrier). I personally don't see a easy answer to this and people smarter then me seem to be having the same issue. The only thing I can think of and even this would have flaws, is a 2nd income stream for ED, something like having a 2nd team create LOMAC 2 and put that game on a subscription model. We can all see how well War Thunder has done maybe ED can try to cut into that market share for the people looking for a simpler experience then what DCS provides?

Little late to to the party on this one but I finally got around to finishing this campaign and first things first I loved it. Had the usual DCS glitches and bugs involved but at this point thats to be expected. There is one bit of feedback for HB's end I would like to say though, personally I am not a fan of a silent protagonist regardless of the game and this campaign had a whole lot of 1-way conversations with Jester making big speeches and the pilot stays totally silent. Then all of the sudden the pilot has a voice on the mission where you fly to the carrier and will talk to Jester afterwards. Only suggestion/request I have to make is that in the future part 3 that the pilot will continue to talk, even a simple "O.K." or "Roger" when Jester is giving directions would go a long way.

If you can grab it on sale then its certainly not bad, but for me personally I only use to for screwing around on multiplayer once a blue moon or more commonly to command ground units when I play on a Liberation campaign. 1 very important note though if you are a VR user then it is not compatible with VR at all for directly controlling the units, commanding units on the F10 map works just fine though.

All but useless honestly, scripting is not something I have ever really used. But I'll jump into that link you posted and see if I can figure it out. Thanks.

I have been working on a series of MP missions for myself and the squadron I fly with, which will often include a person using LOTATC. In short what I am trying to do is have it so that when a certain trigger is fired then a message similar to the will appear that is visible only to the person in the gamemaster slot similar to the "message to all" option in the triggers. Is this possible to do and if so how do you set it up?

DCS already has a pretty good AWACS system, but I would love to see JSTARS added to go with the attackers and helos. Especially with the upcoming dynamic campaign.

The ability to set a ROE coalition wide instead of by individual units.

not planned Crew exit animations don't grab rifles upon exit
Caveman655 replied to Caveman655's topic in Wish List
From what I understand Heatblur is working on something like that with the F-4, wouldn't expect that for a while though. -
I just found out there is a animation for the crew to bail out of the Apache like with the Huey and I got to give props to ED for it but it does leave 1 question. If ED put the effort into not only having the M4s in the cockpit but also having a small level in interactivity with them, why does the crew not grab said rifle on the way out?

Upcoming campaign for the F-16C in Syria: "The Gamblers"
Caveman655 replied to baltic_dragon's topic in Community News
I have had it for quite a while and it is a nice little jet I will admit, but something about it has just never clicked for me. In particular with the HOTAS, I fly the F-14,F-18, A-10C, and am quickly coming along with the F-15E. But for whatever reason I could never wrap my head around the F-16, and as you can see from the logbook its not for lack of trying. -
Upcoming campaign for the F-16C in Syria: "The Gamblers"

Not a Viper driver, never could wrap my head around the jet like I could in the Hornet. May need to fix that when this comes out though.
