JDAM disappearing from smart weapons page after tpod transfer
BigBorner replied to Zachc12385's topic in Bugs and Problems
This also happens if they are mounted to the CFTs. Had a penetrator JDAM disappear from left CFT today after transmitting coordinates -
That’s how it is intended to. Turned out, pod does not have AA functionality IRL, so they removed it a few updates ago.

What causes ABRIS (GLONAS) display deviation?
BigBorner replied to Usagi's topic in Bugs and Problems
Is it maybe more precise if you range it with the laser? shooting in the dark here. -
Technically I think a landing point is only necessary if you want to divert. The eagle has always the INS Alignment coordinates as B or Base point if understand correct. And it wants to go home.

CoordinateConverter - Alternative to TheWay
BigBorner replied to FalcoGer's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Hey Falco - in case you are still looking for a compliant victim for testing things out with the eagle let me know. I zink out timezones will fit pretty well -
Is that maybe the reason CCRP is a bit weird?

[FIXED] JF17 p2p datalink not working
BigBorner replied to E-TF[101] Breeze's topic in Bugs and Problems
That was also the case pre 2.9. I think I got a screenshot somewhere, if you want -
I THINK that might be because manual always assumes you want to fly the route, while COO assumes route points to be optional. What I’m wondering about is - to send the missile to the SPI (WP 40) the direct mode is used. In COO you have to enter the expected target locations coordinates manually. Did you do that? Maybe if it’s missing coordinates it automatically goes for the last RP? Im going to play around with it later today. Maybe it’s a bug, maybe not

As per chucks guide route points in the 30-35 range can be used optionally in COO mode.

INTC S2 right has no effect with TWS and RWS
BigBorner replied to Pack Rat's topic in Bugs and Problems
In TWS that’s by design. In RWS it should have worked. -
Yeah - you are absolutely right. I just checked, and you can really just ripple 2 Stations / Weapons in PP Mode. So, if you have 4 targets, you will need 2 Programs. Both for 2 Points. is that a bug or a feature, @uboats?
-
I also had the feeling it got way more stable and easy to fly. Considering I could fly in the past in an empty singleplayer map MUCH better then in MP - might it be that it just got easier as game runs better now?
-
Hm, it is (at least was. Didn’t test after the update.) possible do that. Workflow: Have 4 PP targets ready Switch to PP Mode for the bombs. Select ripple mode, select 4 Go in control menu after setting that. Set target per bomb by switching between pylons (!) via NWS button. It’s important to select the ripple mode before you assign target, otherwise it will reset the target assignment. Also it’s important to remember that you’re assigning target points per pylon, not per weapon. So, if you have several weapons on one pylon, they will all have the same target.

Looks like it, but I can’t say for sure to be honest.

Getting a „lock“ like a point or area track and designating an actual target so you get ASL are 2 different buttons. The former (tracking) you do with auto acquisition back, designating a target is TDC Press.

Su-30MKK Full fid or FC3 version?
BigBorner replied to TaxDollarsAtWork's topic in Deka Ironwork Simulations
@Mike_Romeo - do they have a discord now? -
Solang es nicht darum geht den startup zu lernen, kann ich dir gerne einige Tricks und Kniffe beibringen. Nen TS Server hab ich allerdings nicht. discord ist eh praktischer weil screensharing und „drück ma den knopp unten rechts“

IRL? In DCS the AA mode works quite well.

So, in a hypothetical peer / near peer conflict? I don’t know if to much will change to general approach as we’ve seen in, for example, in desert storm etc. Sensors got more capable, weapons either. There are new players in the game, like F-35 and the Raider, refining F-117 like capabilities. Most SAMs and CC will be cleaned up by a combination of stealth, sead and long range missile strikes, I assume. F-15E/EX usage will then be ramped up for more dirty work, escorted and supported by other aircraft depending on individual threat level. Maybe even by AI wingman and drones, which are the hot stuff atm.

They were in a shooting war. It worked. They’re not flying alone. There are EW and SEAD planes, lobbing harms. For example:
