  1. Do you have any suggestions that might help Bushido?
  2. F10 will show correct coordinates if you have DCS configured to display lat/long in decimal. By default I do not think this is the case. See this video at the 25s mark:

    Testing D2M

Thanks for the tip. I tried the Strela and confirmed it works on the first launch. Subsequent launches are not indicated on the RWR but there is a tone emitted so at least there is something :)

    Testing D2M

So I set up a low-and-slow Mirage with Magics onboard. I also make sure that in the mission the "Do not mount the DDM sensors" remains unchecked. I confirm that the D2M is activated by the solid light under the RWR. In the flight path I have set up a solitary soldier with an Igla. I watch him take aim and launch but I see nothing on the RWR nor any auditory alert. What am I doing wrong here? I have tested this multiple times to ensure that the launch occurs within the FoV of the sensor so I dont get it. :(
  5. So I have run through the first training missing a few times and made a list of things I feel might be useful. I may be a bit nit-picky but I thought I would aim for a comprehensive look. Also not that I may have some duplication from other people but I was not looking at other reports because I didnt want to have a bias. Here you go: 1) When requesting to call Crew Chief to turn on ground power I would suggest adding the key that is needed in the text. For example: "Next, call the Crew Chief (press the \ key) and ask him to turn on the Ground Power....". This is useful for those who are new to DCS which should always be the baseline for training. 2) I think the lat/long data you give in the example is using minutes/seconds when it should be using decimal? 3) You should specifically say to set the Radar Alt. Switch to M (marche). The reason for this is that it is a three position switch. 4) VOR/INS should be VOR/ILS 5) you say they should turn on the ECM but dont point out the switches. Either dont mention this (because you are going into that later) or highlight the switches so they know what ones to use. 6) IFF using the fragged instructions? What is that? Again it probably best to just not bring it up if you are not going to show how to do it. 7) To lower the canopy first right-click on the lever. 8) You mention the green and red knobs but they are far away from where the player is currently working and gets very confusing (esecially since the knobs you are referring to are not very green or red and easy to miss). You should either highlight them or not mention it here and go over it in the campain. 9) you mention that the INS Mode Selector needs to be set to 'NAV' but shouldnt the INS Operational Mode selector also be moved back to 'N'? Should the INS Parameter switch be set back to 'L/G' or something else? 10) highlight the starter button cover when asking it to be closed after engine startup. 11) when checking that the blue DIRAV light is off it might be a good time to explain that the FREIN light is on due to the parking brake. Alternatively, you could get the player to check that the light comes on when the parking brake is applied before engine start. 12) autopilot test: looking for the *green* light 13) Fly-by-wire test has three positions. You need to go into more detail here. Should they use 'C' (which is a right-click) or or 'L' (which is a left-click)? What is the difference? 14) when checking the slat by setting it to "Sortis" you could mention that the pilot needs to look at the leading edge of the wings to verify functionality. 15) when checking the anti-skid you mention the SPAD light coming on but not the FREIN light going off. 16) sealing the canopy requires a left click on the handle. Other recommended additions 1) cage HSI (as others have mentioned) 2) turn on the audio warning switch (on right side) between turning on Emerg. Hyd. Pump and the Pitot heat cover. 3) Lights Test Switch next to warning panel would be a nice addition and since we are waiting for the INS to align, why not :)
  6. Saw in CF's latest video that this is now working in v1.5.5: Does anyone know if the pylon model for the Magic shows the sensors?
  7. To reproduce simple start the instant action mission "CAUCASUS Cold Start", sit in the cockpit, and watch the two other AI Mirages. Specifically keep an eye on Dodge-12 and watch it do some interesting side-strafing as it flies directly overhead. :D
  8. Wait a min! When did the Mi-8 get door gunners and a sling? That's amazing!!!
  9. I think the line is a wonderful idea. I cannot wait to test this out. Imagine my embarrassment when I thought it was already implemented and I was trying to test this in Nevada with no results (and a very frustrated Igla launcher). :)
  10. FYI Chuck on page 54 you mention the DSV alarm is "N/A" but I was able to activate it when I disable the FBW gain. Not sure what the acronym really means however.
  11. Thanks Chuck that is what i figured and dont blame you. Looking forward to a final version.
  12. The last time the document was modified was back in Jul 29th, and a lot has been added and changed since then.....is Chuck's guide waiting for the module to become a bit more solid before being updated?
  13. The DECOL (DÉCOLLAGE/TAKE-OFF CONFIG) warning light turns on if:  The cover for the FBW test switch is open.  The FBW test warning light is red.  The aircraft is not trimmed for take-off  Emergency trim is selected.  BECS switch is not in the AUTO position.  ANEMO switch is in the OFF position
  14. Thanks for the update folks!
  15. Wheel brakes assigned to axis does not work. (but the 'W' key does work) RCTRL-Enter, to see control axis, is not working Is the C-101CC supposed to be flyable? I can create a mission and set the plane to "client" but it defaults to AI.
  16. What I mean is the CCRP procedure updated in the user manual? ie. The procedure shows there is no targetting cross.
  17. But is CCRP updated?
  18. Wait...so how does CCRP work now? Is the manual updated with this?
  19. Black Cross Red Star: volume 2 and 3. Bought them both when they first came out. Wish I could find an affordable volume 1. But with luck they will re-publish them all and the next two books as well: http://www.bergstrombooks.elknet.pl/bc-rs/
  20. I seriously cannot wait for this!!!
  21. Hey Sith, I have been testing on both the latest v1.5 and v2.0 and while I can confirm the rolling oscillations have been reduced it is still not completely gone. It seems to be reproducible when in a horizontal turn when the speed drops just below 300km/h. If I maintain that speed and keep my controls static to maintain that speed and a constant rate turn, the oscillating roll will start on its own. It's like one wing stalls but then suddenly the other wing stalls...back and forth. Let me know if this is expected behavior and if so then I will let the matter drop. :)
  22. I will test again on the release version
  23. I was able to just reproduce it using version 2.0.3.56503. I don't know if the ver 2.0 Alpha is up to the same baseline as the full release version or not. Track of this is attached. In the track you will see me enter into this strange rolling oscillations and despite my control surfaces being almost static (in a left hand turn but ailerons deflected right, elevators down and rudder almost neutral) this oscillations persist. My velocity also appears pretty steady I think. Bf109_rolling_oscillations.trk
  24. I just tried it out now and wow what a difference! It will still snap-roll on you if you get the speed down too low but that happens in a predictable way. The strange oscillations are gone. I am wondering if this is simply a placebo or if there was something changed in the flight model somehow.
  25. Awesome! Thanks guys!
