  1. Agreed but it is clear that the missile has plenty of kinetic energy remaining. As soon as the rocket engine on the missile shuts down the missile performs a nose dive into the ground. The mission file is attached. M-2000C A2A missle test.miz
  2. Does it happen every time or is here something I am doing that triggers it? Is there a way to make it not do this?
  3. The following test was performed on build1.5.4.55584: I have been trying to learn the new A2A missile functionality so I set up a small mission where an unarmed aircraft is flying straight ahead and away from me. Everything looks good and I have the aircraft just over 5nm ahead of me. I fire the missile and it appears to be tracking well but then suddenly the missile does a nose dive towards the ground. I have attached a track. I didnt submit this as a bug because I think I might be doing something wrong. If I am please let me know. Mirage strange 530D behavior.trk
  4. Honestly I don't think it is ground resistance based on listening to the engine and watching the engine-blur behind the aircraft. I can hear and see the thrust "jumping" when I cross this hidden threshold. I will try testing more to see if I can nail it down.
  5. I noticed on the release version on v1.5 that it is difficult to taxi in the Mirage. It is either not getting enough power and slows to a stop, or too much and accelerates very quickly. I observed via externals that it appears there is a "sweet spot" where up to a certain RPM threshold ther engine does not generate any thrust but then when you cross the threshold a lot of thrust occurs so you have to constantly fiddle with the throttle. I tested it out on the v2.0 install and it does not appear to have the same problem. Is anyone else seeing this?
  6. I thought there was a bug where changing the response curve would cause it to stop working completely. Sent from my SM-G935W8 using Tapatalk
  7. Yup same here
  8. I am getting ready for my PPL exam and thought I would experiment with what I have been studying regarding pressure and density altitude. I created a mission where I have a TF-51 sitting on the tarmac at Bselan, the ambient temperature is set to standard (15 degrees Celsius). I then set the altimeter to standard pressure (29.92) and confirm that the altimeter is indicating the pressure altitude of the airfield: 1772 feet. I then change the mission to set the ambient temperature to 25 degrees celsius, set the altimeter to 29.92 inches and the altimeter displays approx 1710 feet! It went down? The formula I have learned is this: density altitude = pressure altitude + (100' * [actual temp - {standard temp at sea level - standard temp at altitude}]) So this comes down to: DA = 1772 + (100 * [25 - {15 - ~3.4}]) DA = 1772 + (100 * [25 -11.6]) DA = 1172 + (100 * 13.4) DA = 1772 + 1340 DA = 3112 Shouldn't the altimeter display this? Or does this just mean the aircraft will perform as though it is operating at that altitude but the altimeter will not display it? In that case why does the altimeter go down when I increase the ambient temperature? I am using this as reference: http://www.langleyflyingschool.com/Pages/Flight+Operations--Pressure+and+Density+Altitude.html
  9. Yeah I agree that would be a nice touch. I also wish chocks were a standard for all DCS aircraft but mostl for the prop planes
  10. After bailing out of my Mig I waited until I floated down to the ground and discovered that there is no animation for walking. The pilot still moves around but he is stuck in the standing pose. I checked some of the other pilots in the other modules and they don't seem to have this problem.
  11. While I am not expecting the Hollywood-ish "ka-POW" I feel like I have lit off fireworks that made more sound. I'm wondering if it just might be me so I'll try to make a video and attach it.
  12. LOL I might have found the answer in the v1.2.7 changelog: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/news/dcs_1_2_7_is_now_available/ More specifically this: So I guess the bug is that there are still default loadouts that contain these. :)
  13. It seems the only way I can get access to these rocket launchers is if I use a pre-existing loadout. If I try to righ-click on a station and select rockets I can only see LAU-131's and LAU-68's. Does anyone know why the LAU-61's are not on the list?
  14. [ame] [/ame] All humor aside... ;) Im not sure when I first noticed this but it seems that the explosion sounds have changed to less of a "kaboom" and more of a underwhelming popping sound. For example I launched about 72 rockets at a truck column and then quickly switched to the truck view to witness the carnage and all I heard was quiet popping. Then some of the burning trucks exploding with more popping. I guess I have spent too much time in the cockpit at high alt. so I never noticed when this changed but I dont remember it being like this. Does anyone know if this is right? To be clear this is a clean install of both v1.5 and v2.0
  15. Have you tried setting the video config to the lowest on all setting to see what happens? If, on all low settings, you still get this at least you know it something unrelated to video DirectX API. If it is not doing that bug then start increasing one setting at a time to see what setting might be causing it. It might help narrow it down.
  16. Duplicate report?: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=165643
  17. You will notice at the beginning of the video when the sim is paused your mirrors are not activated and you have good frame rate. When you unpause the mirrors start "mirroring" and the frame rate goes bad. Try disabling mirrors as someone earlier suggested.
  18. I have this problem as well. Makes it difficult to 'tone down' the speed of the TDC movement like I do with the F-15C
  19. What is the default keyboard commands for EAC? And there are autopilot modes? What are the commands for those? I must have been away from the A-10A for too long because I dont remember it having that....
  20. Do you see if the PAC switch (on the left) is toggled? I never see that switch move from the "off" position but testing some gun strafing and it appears that it is working despite the switch position.
  21. I would be happy just with a texture/model upgrade and nothing else. TBH I love the Ka-50 feature-set exactly as it is. Warts and all. It is still my favorite module followed closely by the M-2000C. I think it is the weaknesses that you have to work around that gives it its charm. Same reason I really like the Uh-1H except that heli always tries to kill me whenever I try to land the thing. ;)
  22. TacView is a good tool to review your missions to see what was going on and where you might have gone wrong: http://tacview.strasoftware.com/product/about/en/
  23. I have been using mine since Sept 2015 (80cm) and I think it is the second most valuable thing in my simpit as far as adding to immersion and satisfaction when flying (the TrackIR being the first). If you have a TM Warthog I would HIGHLY recommend it.
  24. I use the JTAC mod for the Ka-50 and it gives coordinates in L/L so I think it's configurable but I have no idea how. Perhaps there is a .lua file that needs to be modified... Alternatively you could use this converter: http://www.earthpoint.us/Convert.aspx
  25. How did you make it transparent like that?
