  1. I was able to update the DCSW program. I then used the module manager to download the Mig-15 module. It came back the same error after installing the module. I tried running the repair option and this failed to resolve the issue as well. I tried installing the Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013 : http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784 This also did not help, but reinstalling both the x86 and x64 version of Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4 did work!!! http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679 One thing I found odd is that it never asked me for my serial number to activate the Mig-15 module. I saw it start the activation process but then it jumped away and *poof* I was in the cockpit! :)
  2. Because I need the mouse to click on buttons and switches I would recommend using the num keypad to pan view. In addition to this, holding the Ctrl+Shift will move your PoV around which I don't think you can do with the mouse.
  3. I do have the FW-190 and Bf-109 sound mods installed. I'll try disabling those and see how that goes. Thanks for the suggestion! EDIT: I just disabled them and you were right on the money. Problem is gone now. Sad, because I really liked those sound mods and it was the first ones I really liked. Rep inbound!
  4. Has anyone else experienced this? I have all sounds set to 90% except for helmet sounds at 60% and music at 0%. I start up the engines and close the canopy. The second my wheels start to roll there is a defening sound which I can only assume should be the wheels rolling on the tarmac but it is so loud that I am forced to quickly turn off my speakers. Has anyone else had this happen?
  5. Is it jus me but does it look like the landing gear struts are poking through the top of the wing. I made a small practise ground attack mission and loaded up an F-86 on the runway with full fuel, bomb and rockets. Perhaps the weight of all that has the shocks loaded but it still should not have that rendering.
  6. I'm not seeing this in the DCS E-shop.... Am I missing something?
  7. That made no sense at all. I believe the previous poster was saying that BoS damage model was very good and he would like to see the WW2 birds in DCS up to that level. I'm not sure where you would derive that the poster should sell their copy as a result.... Not to mention it was hostile and unnecessary.
  8. Yes thank you! This was driving me nuts as the manual says: "Press the MK 108 Fire Button button on the control stick to drop bombs"
  9. Ah perfect thanks!
  10. Has anyone been able to get this mod to work in the latest version of DCSW:BS2 (ver 1.2.14)? I installed this mod with a clean version of DCSW but when I check the radio dialog there are no options to talk to AWAC or JTAC. I tried the mission that is attached to this thread and I made sure the radio is set (push the tuning button until the light goes out) but the AWACS and JTAC dialog is not in the list of choices (ie wingman, flight, ATC).
  11. Has anyone been able to get this mod to work in the latest version of DCSW:BS2 (ver 1.2.14)? I installed this mod with a clean version of DCSW but when I check the radio dialog there are no options to talk to AWAC or JTAC...
  12. Not sure if many of you are aware but there is a Canadian-built Sabre still flying at the Vintage Wings so Canada (near where I live!). Here is a small article about it if you are interested: http://www.hawkone.ca/downloads/HawkOne-Sabre-23314_2011.pdf I am tempted to try and contact the pilot who flies it just to see if I could convince him to try this simulator and get his impressions. :)
  13. I think you are thinking of the wrong lever. The one you are referring to is basically a four position switch and it affect both water rads under both wings. I'm referring to the two red levers: one on the left and the other is on the right.
  14. According to the manual: "In case of radiator damage, each radiator can be individually disconnected from the Coolant System via the Manual Coolant Valve Control levers located on corresponding sides of the cockpit." Can anyone explain what this does or when I would choose to pull either of these and what happens when I do?
  15. I was just about to post regarding this same thing. Glad I saw this thread :)
  16. I could have sworn there were training missions....does anyone else remember those or was that another hallucination?
  17. If you mean files you have modified then that would be normal. All mods will get overwritten during an update. Any mission you create would need to be moved to "My Missions" is you want to keep them.
  18. A track would be useful.
  19. Photo realistic!!
  20. What book/author is that from?
  21. While not related to the original post....if you check out the two screenshots it does look like it is reduced.
  22. I asked and they said they were using a sound mod and nothing else.
  23. Does anyone else see a wooden A-frame? If so what version does the Dora module show on the main screen?
  24. So how is it that everyone on the same multiplayer server, which would mean we all are running the same version, would have different cockpit models? At least two others on the server had wooden frames and I was the only one that had a metal frame.
  25. From this video Matt did you can see the outer frame of the canopy is made of wood: http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=108968&stc=1&d=1418009446 but for some reason my cockpit has this replaced with metal: http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=108969&stc=1&d=1418009465 Not that I am complaining...I kinda prefer it without the wood but I check with some other guys in the 229th and they are running the same version I am but they have wood. I am not running any mods at all so that is not it. Does anyone know what is going on?
