  1. Redesignating *can* screw up your designation - easy to spot when you see your ASL suddenly pointing in the wrong direction. Bug, quirk, feature, whatever you want to call it, it´s also easy enough to correct by simply clicking the designate button again until you see something that makes sense. Set procedures don´t always work as they are supposed to do, adapt and overcome. I´m not saying it´s not a bug. I just told you what happend and how to make it work even tho it´s not *correct as is*. I can drop GBU-10´s and 12´s left and right with no issues and so could you.
  2. At 1:40 or so you hit "designate" again, even tho you had a very nice designation already, and the designation did wander off. This happens to me sometimes as well; then I just designate again (sometimes more than once, until I get a ASL that makes sense. So, once you have a designation that looks good don´t designate again. You can still make fine adjustments even with the bomb already underway.
  3. It´s all pilot seat.
  4. I have no problems dropping the GBU´s straight & level. Video is pre-patch but still valid (just tested).
  5. It might be worth noting though that disabling the NWS does not lock it in place, but rather makes it spinning freely. May not have the effect that the OP is looking for
  6. Nellis Overhead break 21R, Touch & Go, Landing; both with extended downwind to have a peek at the race avoid overflying the racetrack.
  7. Nothing wrong with the flight controls at all. You are supposed to trim down after TO. I suggest you read up on this in the manual, starting at page 112. I am using the AP alot (Attitude and Altítude Hold) and the only time so far I had problems with it bobbing up and down was in a mission with heavy turbulence flying low level. Make sure you are trimmed at 1G and if you still are bobbing try to add/ remove 1 or 2 more clicks of trim - and ofc give the plane some time to settle.
  8. I do fancy! Have a look at your PM´s.
  9. I know I´m totally of topic but just wanted to say thank you for an amazing job on the F-15! First time ever I don´t feel the need to modify/ touch up the included liveries and am happy to use them right out of the box. Some screens could even pass as a photo ... thanks again!
  10. Sounds like a great personal goal to have, don´t you think
  11. Sometimes it does help to redesignate the target (TDC Press), maybe even more than once. I´ll do that until I get the ASL back where it makes sense.
  12. Edit: With DCS Open Beta 2.8.7.42583 RAZBAM did change the TO behavior, thus Method 1 (by the book) is now the preferred one. The 12° is your optimal fly out attitude. You must not establish that right after TO. Clean up the plane, trim 1G and then establish a 12° attitude. Made a little Vid to demonstrate, 65k GW, light Wind/ Turbulence; first TO is by the book at 140, second at +10 where you basicly rotate and TO in a fluid motion.
  13. Try 480 kts TAS, altitude whatever you fancy. After dropping turn left/ right 30-40° then ease your turn to about 10°. Keep the plane in a bank turn while lasing. Right turn has a few seconds to spare after impact, left turn is tight, but works too.
  14. Greetings everyone, with the Strike Eagle released and in good shape I´m looking to add 1 or 2 pilots. In addition to the things outlined in the OP you should be able to: - start, takeoff and land in a controlled manner - intercept a given course - fly a given speed, heading and altitude - Air refuelling Basic stuff really, right? Most of all however, you should be active, enthusiastic and committed. Anything else we´ll cover going forward. As usual, reply here or send me a PM and we´ll chat.
  15. Well, yes and no - this is not the F-15 C. In the E model TO speed varies with weight and will be between 110 and 172 for rotating the aircraft. If the OP does it your way he´ll get what he´s complaining about - the feeling of "stickyness". To the OP: look for the manual, check your TO weight, add 10 kts and you will be taking off like a pro.
  16. Nice work! One question tho; are we supposed to get just the pdf file. If not something is missing And I think it would receive some more appreciation if you could add some description and have the text in english as well.
  17. Great stuff! I hope you´ll find a way to get these in the game and enhance what we already have. We´re also in dire need of some hangars that fit the F-15 comfortably ...
  18. Make sure you have it trimmed for 1G before turning the AP on.
  19. If it feels sticky you are still too slow. Tha manual is out there, get it. And as I said earlier add 10 kts to the TO speed and it´ll takeoff smooth and controlled like you can see in any youtube video. The video posted earlier here also has some nice TO where one can also see that they trim down right after takeoff.
  20. Thanks much! You guys did a great job with the general layout, but many Shelters seem to be too small and quiet a few taxiways too narrow or not being "drive through" when in RL they are.
  21. Add 10 kts to the published TO speed and you´ll take off by the book. At rotation speed stick half way back and as soon the nose comes off the ground stick back to neutral. Right after hitting the gear lever start dialing down the TO trim and establish 10-12° flyout attitude. Works for me at all gross weights.
  22. Use "Speed Brake AFT (Extend)" and "Speed Brake FWD (Retract)". These will stop whenever you let go the assigned button.
  23. Please don´t! As already pointed out ATC is very unreliable and because of that we try to not use it at all. If anything make it a (special) option, but the runway lights should be on at all times - day or night. And they should stick out like a sore thump as well.
  24. Hey, thx for the quick answer! However, I did not make myself clear enough I´m afraid. I´m looking for a way to convert some RL Lat/ Long numbers into the y/x value that DCS writes into the miz file. In my case Nav points, that I would then insert into the mission in writing rather than trying to find the spot with the mouse in the ME. Hope that is somewhat more clear now? Thx much!
  25. Hi, since the ME cracks do hang out here someone might be able to help me out. Looking for a way to convert Lat/ Long into y and x format that DCS writes into the mission file. My search didn´t yield anything that I was able to understand, so a basic and foolproof converter would be great! Thx in advance!
