posted in other thread also. having the same problem with steam, can't get dcs to load. just checked and I am still on V62, but is option to update if I want

i have the same problem, steam, quest vr, tried a lot of different things. I did note that steam is experiencing a lot of problems right now. Is it possible that steam is the problem right now? I am going to wait a few hours and try again. I am on V62 in quest still.

Any suggestions for improving the mpd's text. VR quest 2 may be the problems in itself and is just not possible to be any better. But I would interested in trying alternatives. I have tried OTT, DCS in game settings and Nvidia control panels changes, but maybe some expert out there has some good suggestions to try. Thanks, and if no help I do understand.

I agree. I have flown the "Apocalypse Now" mission for the UH-1 and the stupid birds keep flying into each other. Watched one CH-47 fly into the back of another one. Hueys fly into each other. By the time you get to the DZ half the landing force has crashed. We need some NOT AI (absolute idiot) to reprogram the AI for helos.

Tail wheel is very very very sensitive. Need to get really good and very light with the anti-torque (rudder) pedals.

open steam, open dcs, click play, will see small screen - DCS world steam edition, bottom row is O "Play MT Preview", check mark, then click play on bottom of this small screen. Some people have set this screen to "always use this option" so check that you have not checked this previously to one of the other options. When DCS opens on the first UI you should see "MT preview ####" notice on bottom right of screen. Then can go to options and turn on DLSS

another solution - go to ME, call up the AH-64, on the line where the waypoints, loadout etc are is the line (...) but vertical is the option for the FCR , un- check the remove FCR. U cannot save the change, but u can just fly from the ME page and then u are flying with FCR aboard. Yes have to do it every time you come into that mission, Stone Sky did say hopes to have changed in next update.

First - remember it is a WIP, give it 10 years and then maybe. The FM (flight model) is terrible in my opinion. I too have flown other helos in various sims and this is the worst.

only a little note, switches do not stay forward, they return to rearward when pushed, then engine starts.

I have the Winwing Orion2 with F-16ex with a 10 cm extension. I like it a lot, lot of buttons and lots of control, very sensitive with good control at hover and landing.

Need to go to mission editor to add FCR dome. Reported that in future it will be a part of the reload/rearm, but not yet. You have to goto to where waypoints, armanment line is and over to the left is [...], click on that and then un-check FCR off.

maybe you can help with this - how do i get ATIS report for an airport, or do they exist.

i did find my error in that 113 is not the ndb but 477. really hard to see on the f10 map.

I can get NDB from all the other airports, but not Kutasi, 113.60. I wasted an hour trying to get it to work from Kutasi in the quick start runway just to teach me more about NDB, then started over at other airports, and found NDB works for all around there but Kutasi. If you really need a track/log let me know, but I would bet will show up with anybody. AH-64

try using Easy Comms. Also as noted elsewhere comms are different in air then on the ground, (\) is for ground, and different key combo for in the air (need to check the settings. options, controls, all but axis commands, communications, = left win key + ... or lft contrl +...) I don't remember what it is right now.

search for ["Stolen Content" DCS missions]. very straight forward and gives you a fighting chance. Be very careful with M-03, you will see when you run it. it is under DCS 'user files'. Good voice overs. Another option is to get RotorOps and then just set the missions with only a few redforce units. Also is to learn to use the Mission editor and just delete a bunch of the Sams, etc from a mission. You are right in that most of the missions are "suicide missions". I think most of them are designed by the Russians to make USA look bad. If you read enough threads here you will see a lot of discussions about what the real role of an Apache is. And is not SEAD.

I did find a cheat to get around installing the FCR. Go to ME, install FCR, fly missions from the ME page.

Any plans to update to campaign to add FCR. I tried with ME but would not let me save changes.

yes on miz 2 knt wind, other mis 4 knt wind Previously on these missions i had oscillations. I had made changes to my game to try to correct a different problem. I think what changed this was deleting all mods from 'save games - dcs - mods' folder and from steam 'dcs-mods-' folder. I have no idea what all the mods do, so i removed them all and had to add back 'terrain". then I did an 'integrity' check via steam. Had 1384 files to replace. After that oscillations were gone. I do integrity checks every week and usually no problems. I am not saying this is what cured it but I know it is better for me. (Miz at 4 knts is the caucus quick start miz range practice, which i have flown many times and have had oscillations there for a few months.)

Am I imagining things. the yaw oscillations seem to be gone or did my computer just go crazy and fix it for me. Two different missions today and George as steady as a rock. This is in a stable hover, no forward movement.

very good questions. maybe someday we will get a manual that tells us all about the FCR and have some drawings as well. dream on dream on!!
