RX 9060 XT 16Gb: Good enough for 30-40fps in vr? Budget vr.
Nightdare replied to AngleOff66's topic in Virtual Reality
I managed to run my HP G2 (90hz) at those FPS consistently on most MP maps with 13600K, 3060ti, 64 Gb ram PD somewhere at 1.3, using Open XR, Turbo on. no reprojection, some downsampling and foveated rendering, DCS eyecandy settings roughly at half Fidelity still being very decent, though clear visual identification in warbirds was only possible at closer range than I found practical Mind you, this was prior to me having chopper modules, where ground detail was less required, so I never really taxed the system for that -
It will be if you forget to say "you're right dear"

Gentlemen, does anyone know where I can find a complete keybind .lua for the tomcat? (and I mean a lua that has all missing functions, not the location of the file on my harddrive)

I'd sooner think the cost for Motion rigs is rather ...prohibitive, for a hobby that can get already rather expensive pretty quick
-
Since it won't accept VPC/TM grips, nor is known if they will support them (at the very least need a discontinued WW adapter) I will not be 'waiting' for their offering (These things proportions also seem to be a little less practical for pit building)

How to create a HID device?

Tried a Bodnar board? https://www.leobodnar.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=94&products_id=180&zenid=eda9358b6d8e5b4cc885d8003135928f The smaller one might even suffice for what you wish to set up: https://www.leobodnar.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=94&products_id=204&zenid=477f6e235b8e167bf85f03fcc00bddc0 They're pretty KISS and have a very simple bit of software to append buttons/encoders etc -
Hardcore realistic F-18 ejection seat (NACES SJU-17) replicas
Nightdare replied to NeoEngress's topic in Home Cockpits
Not a valid excuse when receiving that amount of money to not look for an approved PSU, and if it's about liability also shows a lack of faith in one's own product- 7 replies

I think it's rather insulting to charge such an amount and then still require your customers to source their own $40 power supply- 7 replies

An advice - remove that red hood on the V1, V2 and CM throttles...

It works perfectly for the covered APU in my Apache, Asym limiter in my F-14 and starter switch for my Huey, though I must admit I'm spoiled for options with an added Orion 2 and DIY button panel -
No, you can use the unit as 4x32 in DCS as well BUT (IIRC) you'll see 4 almost identically named WinWing devices in DCS keybind manage, yet they use a 'different' parts of the hardware unit, good luck finding out which is which If you decide to change it from 128 to 4x32 (or vice versa) You'll have to reprogram the keybinds for all 4 'devices' separately, you cannot reuse the 128 button keybind .Lua ...I believe you can use a background program like Vjoy to configure 128 buttons to 4x32 for BMS/4x32 to 128 buttons for DCS, so you wouldn't need to switch in SimApp

The f-16 has a very short stick in the first place so of course adding an extension wreaks havoc on any FBW attempt

First we have to establish they actually did, we are not privy to this (but I consider it rather plausible) No, I would think a company would at a certain point withhold payment if a contractor does not hold to the stipulations, but nowhere am I so naïve to think this will not have a response of the contractor somewhere down the line either What you fail to take into account that for all intent and purpose, RB believes itself to be 'right' (and they might be, we don't know exactly) well, if they are, how can they be 'immoral'? Good guys/bad guys? irrelevant They are merely logically doing the 'inevitable' when the funds dry up Once we can speak from hindsight, yeah, we can apply 'morals', right now, we can only pick sides
-
OBJECTIVELY: if I were RB and think myself of being (or actually contractually are) in the right, I still have no option but to cease activities that do not make money, this is not immoral towards the customers but a basic result of receiving no income for the work that is done What benefit does Razbam have ruining their company so you MIGHT fly your precious mudhen, by working headlong into insolvency? "Quick boys, we have to finish this so Dragon1-1 can play his planegame before we're all homeless! No, we'll probably never see a penny of his money, but I'm sure he'll be grateful No, you can't do things that actually turn a profit or find a new means of income, we're supposed to be moral, starving yes, but moral nonetheless, so keep going and serve the DCS fans' entitlement"

According to who? Don't get me wrong, but there is something as biased "point of view"s here in this thread
-
indeed justified sarcasm, there are only contracts and rules When excrement hits the archaic climate control, pleading and begging make no money I used it as metaphor
-
Not 'feels', those are gonna make a very bad severance defense in a courtroom but that which are set in the rules for your employment, these rules are part of your contract, firing you for what's not in the rulebook is gonna open up a can of worms My CEO may be morally opposed to my long hair, but nothing he can do about it, as it does not violate any law
-
No they don't Logic trumps your feelings Your morals be damned if I (RB) can't pay my bills because my boss (ED) isn't paying me

I grabbed a hand saw and a file

Well, got the ARC in and installed Marvelous little piece of kit, the 'real' test function of the LCD screen is a fun detail If code was available this could also be used for the A10 ARC-164, since that is almost equal in function/display, but button layout, ...then again, I'm in VR so for me, a display is already candles on the cake.

Indeed, I think the paying customers would rather see how ED is going to actually prevent repeat situations like this again Because apparently, they have not done their due diligence they had prior trouble with a 3rd party developer
