Wrong, I know from a person who would know, not anyone from RB, that there was an issue with a version of the ST that RB was going to model. They got the request to stop from an entity that wasn't ED. Bet you didn't know that, did you? Nevermind, don't have to bet, I know you didn't.

If that was truly the case, then ED would be done for right now. That genie would never get put back into the bottle. Pretty sure thats not the issue, it was supposedly using the IP without consent from ED to make the ST. There is even more to that story than even you probably know. RB was doing something they thought they could and they had to stop, that wasn't even related to ED even, and stop they did. Things are pretty murky between DCS and MCS. So methinks there is come grey area there. Hell the scuttlebutt is ED is getting info on the -35 due to an MCS contract, which would make sense because ED isn't gonna throw a -35 out there without having some pretty substantial research that doesn't involve watching a demo at an airshow.

Because those same employees, who see their module still being sold, that they worked on..and are receiving nothing for it? Yeah, thats where the line gets drawn. At the end of the day, when the clock hits a year both sides need to look at themselves and ask themselves what the hell are we really doing here.

Logic deduction is the same as tea leaves. Just a different flavor of description. Sure, if RB gave ED the finger, then you get the courts involved. Even then the scope would be fairly narrow, only pertaining to module XX and not X. Most people, if they receive an official C&D letter, do exactly that. Most don't go down that road that only hurts them. I know for a fact that RB wasn't getting paid for the E model for at least 5 months before the devs stopped working on it. Another couple months and this will be a year since the updates stopped.

Yep, people think the jet they fly should do everything and anything. Every jet, if modeled properly has strengths, and it has weaknesses. Learn those, of your jet and your opponents jet and go from there. Those who run to daddy whining about balance, need to go play War Thunder.

Nope as I stated cease and desist on the issue, let the other things continue as usual. Nothing wrong in saying you can keep working on X but you cannot in any circumstance work on XX. Pretty damn simple. Instead...nuclear and KABOOOM! To me, reading the tea leaves ED told RB to stop work on XX. RB said no we are within are rights to do this. ED said, no you are not. A bitch fest ensues and ED takes the nuclear option. There you have it.

Keeping RB's money for what has been sold is really bad form. Especially when you keep selling it. Any module sold on the storefront, ED gets the money first. I guess what we don't know is RB getting any money from sales of other modules? My guess is the SA map is getting paid but they aren't really RB at the end of the day. Since there is no updates to the other RB modules, I have to assume ED shut the tap completely off. Yet they still sell the modules. That is the definition of asinine. Can keep going around in circles but I know you would be beyond pissed if you were working on module A, but they had a problem with module B and so they stopped paying you what you were owed due to sales for module A. And you saw them keep selling module A.

I honestly don't see how the Eurofighter can't come out this year when it was shown so heavily on the 2025 video. But you are correct, it sure seems that way.

Oh I'm sure the 18 is the highest seller, but that doesn't mean that is the best module. Pound for pound the E model is quite a bit better than most others. However it, and all other RB modules were missing from the '25 video. That speaks volumes. This isn't going to end well and the F15E will go by the wayside as the C model, -35 and Eurofighter come on line.

Of course ED could be in the right, just I lean the other way as of now. It's a little bit closer but....however you are wholly incorrect. If the E model had NOTHING to do with whatever issue was being had with RB ( which is seemingly without questions), then cutting payment for that specific module that had nothing to do with it is asinine. And they keep selling it, and profiting from it. You can cease and desist work on another project all day long. Happens all the time in industry and that doesn't mean it affects every single other project. So no, you are incorrect. ED took the nuclear option, RB got stunned by that and thus reacted as a cornered dog will. Not anymore. Not really. As it stands now the E model is one of the best modules in DCS. This is why all the cards need to be on the table now or in the future. Every single thing needs to be layed out so comments such as this are valid, or the complete opposite.

Perception is reality. A lot of things in the world would have been much much better had all facts been laid out on the table beforehand. Fact of the matter is this. If ED is withholding profits made from the sale of the E model and have been for about 9 months now, then that is really, really bad. It had nothing to do with the issue at hand. If the lawyers are involved I wouldn't expect resolution for another 15-18 months at least. Thats the risk you run when you involve lawyers.

Hahah nope, if I were I would you would know it. Just someone who is tired of the non resolutions that this point. DCS is awesome, and I can't stop thinking that cooler heads could have prevailed.

Razbam is done with new modules for DCS at the very least. I don't care about the MiG-23 but guess that module has been <profanity> canned. Good job ED. Anyways, if I were RB I would go freaking nuclear and lay all my cards out on the table. Someday the full story will come out and it will be easy to figure out who is right, and who is wrong. If I were RB no chance I'm signing any kind of NDA about any settlement. I don't think either side will come out of this looking great if we got the full story.

Today someone, or actually yesterday now asked Prowler if they still had the people etc to continue the F15E and he said yes they do. So this Command T, to me, is just stirring up bleep.

You know on the RB discord, Prowler is Ron Z, right? Nevermind, misread your post, sorry. The end result after what almost 9 months of this crap is this. Ron says they weren't paid. ED hasn't stated if they did or didn't. The F15E isn't even the issue. It's the Super Tucano module. The comical part of this is that they could, one would assume, have given a cease and desist letter about the Tucano and let the E model keep humming along. Instead they went nuclear and forced dev on the E model to stop as well.

Something must have happened. Per RB discord from Prowler aka Ron. "@everyone ED cannot ensure the operational status of our aircraft without our involvement and a clear resolution. Claims suggesting otherwise may mislead customers into thinking full maintenance can be achieved independently, contrary to statements made by their community manager. This clarification is being issued to address the widespread speculation and misinformation circulating online."

Christmas miracle. DCS update. Wait, nope. Guess it will be Q4 of 2025 before anything gets done. This was one grade A screwup and I think they all know it right now.

The story I have been hearing is that both sides have lawyers looking at the evidence. Requests are being made from a party who appears to be dragging their feet. It would also seem that month (s) go by without any communication on requests. I will not say who is doing that, but I trust the source that it is true. It takes both sides to want a good faith resolution.

Pretty much. Both sides have dug in, you won't hear anyone here saying they were in the wrong either even if they were. Ditto for RB. There is less than a 0 percent chance that would happen. So I personally am left with this. Do I listen to the silence, or do I listen to some current and other former USAF F15E crew members that have worked on the E model. I have said in the past that these guys I assure you don't take lightly to them having their reputations called into question.

What's the counter now? 6 months of BS? The people who said a year were probably correct since the holidays are coming up and well so good luck with a resolution anytime this year.

What's encouraging? From day one there was a "chance". There is always a "chance" until there isn't. A statement such as "some new things have me feeling more hopeful" would be different. The lawyers will make a decision when it benefits them the most. They don't care about you, Razbam, ED or whatnot. They only truly care about their bank accounts.
