Sure, this isn't high level sensitive negotiations that has ramifications for national security. Nobody is going to jail from what I know. Something didn't happen. Period. If I was the one who was sure nothing happened, I would say so publicly. I'm not going to sit there, and watch the world burn for the sake of silence. Please, WW3 isn't going to start if the factual cards are laid out on the table. This is a sim world, a world of fantasy and make believe. A lot more would get resolved if all cards were thrown the table and then the party that is clearly and factually in the wrong would be pressured and even required to fix it, asap. Instead we get this dancing around legalese crap and months and months and months go on with no resolution. Thats not healthy or fun for anyone in the sim world, where we go to escape the reality of the real world. I have my ideas on the situation and you have yours. Deal.

They aren't using DCS. They are using MCS, which is the .mil side of DCS which we don't have access to.

There are facts and then there are suppositions. Speaking facts that cannot be refuted is not something that should be off limits. Facts can't change, facts are solid. By staying silent it only makes people think things that aren't good in relation to ED. IE "Razbam violated contractual agreements and here is the proof without ambiguity" It's been months now. Public image is almost more important than anything else. You want people to trust the parent company, start doing stuff to make people trust it. Saying we have no comment for months if you know you are in the right and it's factual and beyond reproach...doesn't do that.

But they have the happy paddle, which is only used in emergencies IRL and will over G the jet and require you to fly home immediately. What else do you need?
-
Nobody knows the truth anymore and that what radio silence does. It drives speculation and what makes it worse is they keep selling the modules and it's sending mixed messages. It's been months now and nothing has changed. Nothing.
-
Yeah that does seem bit weird doesn't it.

In my opinion, the real damage in the whole thing is to 3rd party devs. With no clarification on who is in the "wrong" here if I am a 3rd party wanting to get into DCS, I might sit back and wait it out or abandon the idea. I don't want the parent company developing more modules than it needs to, 3rd parties generally build the best module they can and not worried about nerfing it or boosting it due to the blowing winds of the BFMers.

Nice to see that! Guess if they are looking for liveries then things must be coming along pretty decently.

Been over a year since any real updates. Hope it is still being worked on.

Easy, get in the books find what the max cruise range is for an altitude, check your fuel flow in the E models' case x it by 2 and you have your POUNDS per hour burn rate. Not a percentage of fuel burn rate. Percent is only in the in game refuel/rearm box. There should at least be an option for it and also an option to stop refuel whenever you want on the ground. Sort of like the AR disconnect.
-
So I can load and see what's in each tank exactly.
-
Can we get pounds instead of % for the fuel load, and maybe an easier way to load the fuel on the jet?
-
Yeah IRL the boom is much, much more stable. From what I have heard from IRL pilots that I fly with it does indeed hold you in place pretty much. There isn't as much give in it and it basically drives you around. The boom psychics need a massive overhaul and to me, this isn't something that will take very much to do.
-
1000 percent agree on this as well. It is a much needed feature. In the 16, you can put the bingo stuff in the HUD. In the F15E, you have to look down and to the left to see the totalizer and that can take some focus off of the fuel unless you have a WSO. When you call the tanker up, you select and amount in thousands of pounds.

Thanks man. Your product is really really awesome and it is beyond me ED doesn't incorporate it. -

Any plans to add F15E aim points? -
Yeah sometimes it gets a bit confusing for me here and there still. The -9 is altitude below your aircraft correct? Also the dashed bars instead of a 2 digit readout means what exactly?
-
Yeah, you can finger f*ck every single waypoint into the system. Just input the Lat/long or the UTM coordinates and voila. Might take a little time though.
-
Agreed, ILS and ATC vectors are something that is sorely missing DCS especially in bad weather or at night. Hopefully that is something that they can fix soon.
-
don't disagree. Yeah, the radar is great, but you can't see what's next to you or behind you or whatnot. It needs to come sooner than later IMO.

The F15E has a better CAS system than the C model and that one only requires trim on takeoff, weapon asymmetric, and if you want landing. Post takeoff, once it is trimmed back to level, it is supposed to stay there, power on, power off no matter. The only time it doesn't iirc is when using burner and I don't think a lot of people understand this. For me, right now in the sim I have to turn the CAS switches off, then on again and the jet flies just as it is reported to be flown. I am not the only one that has this issue and it certainly doesn't line up with how the 15 is said to fly. This is coming from a real life 15E guy and other documents out there. Go watch the 10 Percent True podcast with the F15E driver. He said you could see the velocity vector bouncing up and down as it sought to maintain level flight. That doesn't happen in the sim right now. While not true FBW it is damn close to it in how it performs, and the only real difference is it allows you to over G the aircraft.
-
I still think, based on feel, that after takeoff turning OFF the CAS switches then turning them back on evens the jet out.

auto acq down doesn't disengage refueling probe.

Doesn't work for me. -
The FM is getting better but it still "wanders" too much for an F15.

Title says it all.
