Since upgrading to 190.38 (on windows 7 RC), the menu screens in BS are all black (but I can see the buttons). Bizarre.

What's the difference between the "Georgian Oil War", and the "Oil War Chapter 1/2/3"? Are they part of the same campaign?

Am I right in thinking that's a twin prop Spit? Cos it's not like that was ever a production model, it's a freak that the restorers came up with (found a spare Shackleton engine lying around and somehow shoe-horned it into the cowling). It looks nice an all, but a MkII or Mk Vb would be better IMO.

As you speed up the heli will try to roll to the right - it's down to the rotors and asymmetric lift I think. Complicated things helicopters. At higher speeds you'll be trimmed in the sort of 11 o'clock position.

On Viper's profile the trim "T" button is H3 Up, not down, and you need to hold it for more than half a second then release. A quick press turns on auto-hover so watch out for that. The H3 down switch 'locks' the joystick position, essentially disabling it, until you press it again. Hope this helps?

GeForce 8200 is an onboard graphics chip isn't it? Designed for watching tv/films on a media PC, not crunching graphic apps like BlackShark. My advice would be to buy a decent graphics card.

I use a Cougar HOTAS and G25 pedals no problems at all. As previously mentioned, there's on option in the G25 config for the pedals to report as a 'combined' axis. It's the brake and throttle pedals (clutch doesn't do anything).

Why is that sad? What we do with our money is our business. You don't want a printed manual with extra content? Fine. The PDF is a perfectly good manual. I think you're a tad naive to 'expect' a big heavy printed manual with any game these days. the market just isn't there to support the extra production costs, carriage and packaging required. Yes, the old days were great, I remember buying Falcon 3 and Tornado with their exceptional manuals in their great big boxes... Besides which, how would you distribute the printed manual for a download game?

Strangely enough no, i've heard nothing.

Have you tried backspace? Also bear in mind that the laser rangefinder has a limited life, to prolong it you should reset with backspace often.

It won't necessarily line up the locked target with the Vikhr aiming reticule as this is more or less off to one side depending which side is going to fire and how close you are to the target. A little manual rudder control is required to line up the reticules and launch.

Same here, so I cancelled my amazon order and have ordered it from TFC. Hopefully a bit more money direct into a worthy cause.

First of all get over to Cougar World - http://cougar.frugalsworld.com I suspect you need to download the latest software and firmware and reflash your stick. If you've already done that, do it again. I've had several mis-flashes resulting in mental throttle operation.

Thanks for reopening the thread, and thanks to those who are trying to reach Urze. It is very frustrating, and at this point I'd just like closure on the whole issue. Then I can go and make my own bloody collective!

I'm far too trusting - I'm still 99.8% certain that Urze isn't trying to fleece anyone and is just having a few difficulties, but it's looking increasingly likely that I am in fact a gullible fool...

I also no longer use auto-hover if I can help it. Not a good idea to be completely motionless for any length of time in a combat zone. But once I go head down I too find it very hard to keep the thing pointing in the right direction - 'Auto-Turn' (to target) is the answer, although very occasionally the thing goes a bit berserk.
