Not trying to pile on, but what makes us entitled to an OB release separately and then releasing
F-16 content the day after? If releasing OB and F-16 content the same day makes it easier for ED and it's only a day later for us, what is the problem?
I say something similar to this often on these forums. Those that have been around should realize that we have come a looong way in what we have gotten over the years. This sim has nothing to compare out there right now and there is so much to enjoy already. Be grateful for what we have, because I don't see anything else out there coming to match this level of play and what is projected to come!
Good to know that is what you are striving for. It can help tremendously in exercising some patience. At least that's the way I see it. Press on Team ED!
Mini updates are coming in with videos. I believe 3 since last Thursday? Looks like we are getting close and I have so much on my plate with the Hornet and have not really touched the Tomcat! I am ready for my 2 week shutdown coming up for the holidays to "catch up"! :D
Although that is how it has worked for the most part we did get 2 OB updates back to back not too long ago. It was announced last week that we should a public version release this week and that came Monday which was rather nice to see.
Just like the turbulence effect that is in development. I believe they could and possibly have plans to pull this off also. Let's get that initial list of goodies first though! :) By the way the water does looks pretty damn good as we have it now, but I believe ED will challenge themselves to make it better!
Same here Nealius. The feel and the key speeds, distance and altitudes at certain points in the pattern has been my focus. I can, for the most part, trap on the first approach.
Interesting question. Not sure if this release is suitable for a public release and at the same time it seems that ED prefers 2 weeks between each OB release. It would be nice to see another OB this week, but totally understand if they take another week or 2 to iron out some bugs and/or new content.
Good to see the progress that's been made on the Harpoon. I do wonder what contributed to the speedy development? I do recall there was some pics of the functionality a few weeks ago, but to follow the targeting pod so fast? I am quite pleased!!
This is a very good tutorial for dropping multiple JDAM's. Start @ 10:37 and yes, from what I observed you do have to undesignate the target before sending the next set of coordinates to the desired PP target. At least it works for me.
