Slotting on ECW practically impossible (especially with VR) on ECW
TFS replied to tribbin's topic in General Bugs
I'm in VR, I thought there was a new multiplayer menu for choosing aircrafts? Or is that sever dependent. Just tried online and the doom list of 1200 slots are still all I see. -
I love it, having a cpg and our brains are like "there is someone there and I shall be respectful of that."

Bailey's VoiceAttack Profiles (Added OH-58D Kiowa!)
TFS replied to Bailey's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Oh, well then I am sorry for the bother, thank you lol -
So I've tested this on my motherboard with a 20gps USB c port. 120hz 1.8 max upscale - 4 hours and 15% battery left 72hz 1.3 max upscale - 8+ hours 20% battery left. Regular USB 3.0 was about half that. So your headset settings effect power draw, ingame settings didn't effect anything for me.

I often get this issue at low hover popping in and out on trees and aircraft at a certain height. I saw this thread after you posted this, I remember reading someone with suggestions for shadows on higher end pcs. I've been searching since your post. I'm curious about this too.

So this worked, 100% without fail perfectly. Also tried the audio to dac route as my setups isn't exactly close to my pc but a powered USB hub, also works flawlessly. This is so awesome, because... I've realized that it failed some often previously that a MAJORITY of the time I was only playing with seat haptics and not the transducers. Back to the original WOW factor I had back when I first started the haptics.

Bailey's VoiceAttack Profiles (Added OH-58D Kiowa!)
TFS replied to Bailey's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
@Bailey Am I understanding the Barundus VA profile correctly for AI, there are no keybinds in the VA profile, and thus by default there are no keybinds in DCS on the Kiowa, therefore I have to create bindings for dcs, then go to VA and mimic them in order for them to work? Anyone know of a drag and drop file or way to expidite this, in VR this takes me forever, and I have so many settings tweaked that I can't even get the game to launch outside vr anymore lol, no idea how to revert that for tuning settings like this haha. -
YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, so far since using the audio cable and the sound card, it hasn't disconnected, could be premature to reply as it's only been about 20 minutes without a disconnect, but it was disconnected in seconds if I wasn't immediately in an aircraft and so far so good. I'll reply again, with a longer term update, but so far my guy... high fucking five dude. At least this post exists now in the event someone else has this issue too, google should help find this thread.

Awesome man thank you very much for the response. I'll update after I make the switch.

I understand, I believe I have rhe same model, as far as I know it's the most popular one with simmers. 2.1 50w. I use it currently as the USB connection as an external soundcard. So I can easily connect it to my soundcard. I don't use my on oard soundcard for anything other than I guess the seat haptic... thats plugged into regular USB port (external powered) actually and aworks fine. So I'll use my on board soundcard in SSA? Makes sense. I'll have to give it a shot, for some reason I felt I needed to use the nobsound as a soundcard. I plan go by buttkicker gamer pro and run them all together. Should work I'd imagine as SSA sound module now allows multiple sound sources. gotta get home and try that later.
-
Firstly thank you for responding, I've had no luck asking this question on several message boards. So I'm using an external 2.1 amp/soundboard by Nobsound. I'm going to run a audio 3.5mm plug to a USB c DAC and plug it into my USB port? Instead of micro USB to USB a like I currently have it? That should do it?

Yeah, I have my sound settings set up through windows. Have to switch from speakers to vr when playing vs not playing however I keep my ingame settings to vr headset and I touch nothing else. Also the default volume on every single effect needs to be lowered to your liking as I show in my video, many settings are at a volume of 1 and many are 8 to 14. Master volume steady at default. Some effects are still not working for some helos. That's what I fly and own so that what I know. It looks like RKApps has been taking feedback and making immediate changes and updates so everything that needs work seems very promising at this point. If it was a free app I'd expect it to be "cool and overtime it will improve" but because it's paid addon the efforts seen are expected and I'm glad that they are actively engaged with the feedback.

I read on their forums that their other versions have additional sounds, so hopefully those will be added to dcs. Someone mentioned Huey Blade slap sounds amazing in DCS. Seeing I really only fly the helicopters this would be amazing. As of now I use the Echo 19 sound and the huey sounds great. Extra blade slap on other helicopters is always great. Love love love blade slap.

I tried it and I enjoy it a lot, think many would enjoy with some tweaking. https://youtu.be/IbLvX0k2pHY

Hello, looking for help, I am driving myself mad trying to figure this out. I have a NLR HF8 Haptic pad, and two bass shakers, been using them since last year daily no problems. Over a week ago I have an issue where after a few minutes or so I hear "PC MODE" through the bass shakers and then they are no longer recognized until sound module reboot, yet my haptic pad and game audio all continue with no issue. I am using SAA (Sim Shaker for Aviators) with Sound Module, Andre (the program developer) doesn't believe it's his program that is the issue. I just restart the sound module and it works again until... "PC MODE" is heard again. This happens in DCS, MSFS, or in my desktop with no game running, with sound through speakers, headset or vr, dosen't matter. Swapped out my sound card, tried another bass shaker... nothing, it seems windows is redirecting or changing the output or something (I'm not very savvy with this stuff) I included a quick clip to hear the audible "PC MODE". Someone point me in the right direction, I'm spending way too much time on this with no luck. Thanks in advance. SSA PC MODE.mp4

WAKE TURBULENCE - Didn't know this was a thing.... AMAZING

I enjoy leg movement matching my real legs visually so much. Its one thing I hate about msfs helicopters, no pilot or copilot. I enjoy the kiowas model as the cyclic moves, the pilots knees move as my real knees do. I'm sure the chinooks model will be highly detailed and excited to see it polished. I know the Blackhawk is just a mod, but I wish they'd port over gazell or kiowa pilots to the mod, most lacking models in my opinion.
-
I find it extremely immersive breaking and feels awkward to fly in VR without the pilot model. Gross, it feels... wrong, my brain is constantly checking indicating something important isn't visualized. This saddens me.

I don't know what ASW is and if I have it on? Most maps my fps is locked at 72 in single player. Multi-player usually is smooth, sometimes I get slight jitters near farps for the first minute or after just joining. I also fly very low all the time as I'm in helicopters mainly, very impressed, cant imagine the clarity of a crystal or pimax super is like really, the q3 is amazing.
-
I have 4090 with Q3, I use MSAA 2x .65 with all other settings high, some visibility of details like grass and clutter around medium. I am not super savvy in this stuff at all, but I have my head set in the oculus settings at 120hz with ingame max FPS set to 75, why I don't know but everything works, and everything else maxed. I get an incredibly clear and smooth experience. It's mind blowing really. I used to have it at 4x MSAA but lowered to 2x and noticed no difference. I don't know what this ASW setting you guys are speaking of and I don't know what to do with PD..... Like in the VR tab in settings. I get lost in this topic easily, but I monitor my PCU and GPU temps and been running everything lately very well. My build was last October, seems to be improving with updates to be honest.

I recently ran into an issue where my bass shakers essentially disconnect and I hear windows thought my bass shakers say "pc mode". I specially if I alt tab out of the game for a second. I can't get my bass shakers to reconnect unless I am in an aircraft and manually close and reopen ssa with sound module. The issue is solely the sound module, my seat never disconnects. Anyone else have any ideas?
