  1. Yes sir. There's a bug we need to fix when switching the refresh rate to 90Hz Upscale. That's why we removed it. The 1.28v was intended to be a beta version, but it was mistakenly published.
  2. Pimax Play v1.29.01 Download: https://dlappstore.pimax.com/release/play/PimaxPlaySetup_Release_toC_V1.29.01.01.07_202408231752.exe Release Notes: This version is compatible with all Pimax headsets, except for the 4K. General: Fixed an issue where finger tracking for Lighthouse controllers were not working correctly in the SteamVR beta version. Fixed an issue where Lighthouse controller switch off unexpectedly. Crystal Light: Firmware: 1.0.6 Optimized the Crystal Light tracking algorithm. Addressed an issue where the headset would occasionally stutter when moving. Fixed various tracking anomalies that occurred in certain scenarios. Note: The upscale mode for Crystal Light is currently under debugging. Once we've fixed the bugs, it will be available for public release.
  3. It's compatible with all Pimax headsets (except 4K), so feel free to give it a try.
  4. The MR faceplate is currently in development.
  5. Glad this has been addressed! We've set up a QC group in Shanghai to inspect the headsets before they're shipped out. We're committed to enforcing quality control not just for future headsets but also for our current lineup.
  6. As mentioned, this is a tracking camera, primarily used to track the surroundings and deliver data to the headset for processing. However, we're also working on the MR faceplate, which you can expect to function similarly to the AVP or Quest 3.
  7. It's because the passthrough is enabled through the tracking camera. If you're seeing flashing mountains, it could be due to an incorrect height setting or a loose DP connection.
  8. This will require the MR faceplate. With the default faceplate, it can only provide a black-and-white resolution since it relies on the tracking camera.
  9. Nope. So far, I've been testing the headsets, and when encountering a similar issue, switching the lenses resolved it. It doesn't seem to be related to the headset or other components.
  10. @п-к В НАТУРЕ Just to clarify, poly lenses are no longer being manufactured. All Crystal series headsets now come standard with glass lenses. If you're experiencing fisheye distortion or warping, I doubt it's related to the lenses. Please file a support and request a replacement.
  11. This is from the earliest batch of Crystal, not Crystal Light. All Crystal series headsets now come with glass lenses. We no longer manufacture polycarbonate lenses for the Crystal series.
  12. If your headset can't maintain 120Hz, it's likely that you need a new cable. Please file a support ticket and report the issue, and our tech team will assist you.
  13. Hello, The most recent patch is version 1.25. We're currently testing the next patch for bugs. If no critical issues arise, it should be released soon.
  14. Did it only happen when the refresh rate was switched to 120Hz? I doubt it's related to the DP cable. Please file a support ticket and share the ticket number with me. However, you might want to try wiping all Pimax files and folders and doing a clean reinstallation.
  15. Hey @jaydee Unfortunately, I don't have any advice for spotting. However, BigNewy might have some input, as he has a Crystal for testing purposes.
  16. Sorry, I didn’t read the message clearly. Let me check with the team to see if Crystal Light owners will have the same discount offer when upgrading to the Super. @WipeUout Unfortunately, there's no current schedule to rework the upscale mode for the 8KX at this time.
  17. Hello @Keith Briscoe The tracking algorithm is a long-term project, and our team is doing their best to improve it with every patch. Have you tried switching between lighting frequencies? You may need to check your local lighting frequency, which could be either 50Hz or 60Hz.
  18. You may try to avoid using the START command and instead use the following: "C:\Program Files\Pimax\PimaxClient\pimaxui\PimaxClient.exe" 1>nul 2>nul
  19. https://pimax.com/blogs/blogs/crystal-super-update-q-a You will receive $400 discount and has not changed. Unfortunately, no, but once the headset left the local warehouse, you can check the status. As the headset leaves the factory or Shanghai office for the local warehouse, it is allocated in batches. The logistics team will then schedule delivery to your doorstep one by one. The 8KX does have upscale mode.
  20. Checking with the engineers, and more information about the MR Cover will be revealed soon. Yes, we will continue to support this model.
  21. Today in our Progress Update: Pimax Play 1.25 available for download Demo of the upcoming upscaling mode (with FPS benchmarks) 12K, wide-FOV lenses, and other product update video Pimax Progress Updates is our bi-weekly column in which we share important bits for Pimaxians. For questions or comments, reach out to a Pimax representative on [Discord](https://pimax.com/discord), or contact us via our [support page](https://pimax.com/pages/support-center). Pimax Play 1.25 available for download Version 1.25.01 is available for download here: It will be pushed to Pimax Play clients later. Improvements and new features: Controller Vibration Adjustment: Added the ability to customize controller vibration settings. Memory Management Optimization: Resolved memory leaks occurring in specific scenarios to improve overall performance and reliability. Third-Party Tracker Battery Display: Introduced battery level display for third-party trackers, allowing users to monitor power levels easily. Headset Tracking Algorithm Optimization for Crystal Light: Improved accuracy in low-light conditions. Enhanced tracking accuracy after headset restart. Controller Algorithm Optimization for Crystal Light: Fixed issues with controller drift when stationary. Enhanced overall stability of controller tracking. Upcoming upscaling mode (with FPS benchmarks) The upcoming upscaling mode in Pimax Play uses an algorithm to add pixels and detail to an image, making it sharper and clearer. It's much more effective than simply resizing low resolution. This greatly helps low and mid-end GPUs to enjoy the great visuals of the Pimax Crystal Light. We can upscale, for instance, a 2160x2160 resolution per eye (the resolution of the HP Reverb G2) to 2880x2880 per eye (the native resolution of the Pimax Crystal Light). The algorithm helps create a much better image than if the visuals were simply resized. Visual illustration: Video with benchmarks Please note: We are benchmarking the Frame Rate Per Second (FPS), both in Kayak VR and VRChat. The desktop view is not affected by upscaling, only the visuals inside the headset. The FPS benchmarks are inside the video. The plugin is still being optimized. The GPU used in the test is an RTX 3080. Basically what we get is: * 2160x 2160 without upscale (Frame rates ️️️️️, visuals ️️) * 2880 x 2880 without upscale (Frame rate ️️, visuals ️️️️️) * 2160x2160 to 2880 x 2880 with upscale (Frame rate ️️️️, visuals ️️️️) Check the videos above to see the difference. Under the same scenario, Upscale Mode reduces GPU utilization and increases the frame rate by approximately 25%. Status update about several products (Portal, 12K, wide-FOV lenses, 60G Airlink, and more) Discover the latest updates on the 12K headset, non-local-dimming Crystal Light, wide FOV lenses, and more in our July progress update.
  22. Perfect! Great to hear that you enjoyed the headset!
