  1. The square box you mentioned should be the foveated rendering. It provides the best resolution within the box (depending on your configuration), while outside the square box, you'll notice a blurrier or lower-resolution image.
  2. This is a known issue. The update prompt didn't reach all users, so when you click "Check for Updates," nothing will pop up. We're working on a fix. Are you using the Crystal? If so, try bypassing the hub and connect the USB directly to your motherboard.
  3. Thanks, and please keep me posted. Regarding the freeze issue, we are aware that this occurs at 120Hz, and our engineers are currently working on resolving it.
  4. @Keith Briscoe The tracking is floating randomly? Are you on Discord? If so, please add me - kehweng. I'll loop in our tech support in a group chat. He's focused on resolving tracking issues, so maybe you can provide more details there. @paul2437 , before rolling back to an earlier version, could you please export a log file for me? Regarding the crashes you mentioned, do they occur immediately when the game launches, or does the game freeze and crash after some time?
  5. We will provide progress updates once we receive more information from our engineers and developers.
  6. It falls in Q4, but there is no exact date yet.
  7. Yes sir. There's a bug we need to fix when switching the refresh rate to 90Hz Upscale. That's why we removed it. The 1.28v was intended to be a beta version, but it was mistakenly published.
  8. Pimax Play v1.29.01 Download: https://dlappstore.pimax.com/release/play/PimaxPlaySetup_Release_toC_V1.29.01.01.07_202408231752.exe Release Notes: This version is compatible with all Pimax headsets, except for the 4K. General: Fixed an issue where finger tracking for Lighthouse controllers were not working correctly in the SteamVR beta version. Fixed an issue where Lighthouse controller switch off unexpectedly. Crystal Light: Firmware: 1.0.6 Optimized the Crystal Light tracking algorithm. Addressed an issue where the headset would occasionally stutter when moving. Fixed various tracking anomalies that occurred in certain scenarios. Note: The upscale mode for Crystal Light is currently under debugging. Once we've fixed the bugs, it will be available for public release.
  9. It's compatible with all Pimax headsets (except 4K), so feel free to give it a try.
  10. The MR faceplate is currently in development.
  11. Glad this has been addressed! We've set up a QC group in Shanghai to inspect the headsets before they're shipped out. We're committed to enforcing quality control not just for future headsets but also for our current lineup.
  12. As mentioned, this is a tracking camera, primarily used to track the surroundings and deliver data to the headset for processing. However, we're also working on the MR faceplate, which you can expect to function similarly to the AVP or Quest 3.
  13. It's because the passthrough is enabled through the tracking camera. If you're seeing flashing mountains, it could be due to an incorrect height setting or a loose DP connection.
  14. This will require the MR faceplate. With the default faceplate, it can only provide a black-and-white resolution since it relies on the tracking camera.
  15. Nope. So far, I've been testing the headsets, and when encountering a similar issue, switching the lenses resolved it. It doesn't seem to be related to the headset or other components.
  16. @п-к В НАТУРЕ Just to clarify, poly lenses are no longer being manufactured. All Crystal series headsets now come standard with glass lenses. If you're experiencing fisheye distortion or warping, I doubt it's related to the lenses. Please file a support and request a replacement.
  17. This is from the earliest batch of Crystal, not Crystal Light. All Crystal series headsets now come with glass lenses. We no longer manufacture polycarbonate lenses for the Crystal series.
  18. If your headset can't maintain 120Hz, it's likely that you need a new cable. Please file a support ticket and report the issue, and our tech team will assist you.
  19. Hello, The most recent patch is version 1.25. We're currently testing the next patch for bugs. If no critical issues arise, it should be released soon.
  20. Did it only happen when the refresh rate was switched to 120Hz? I doubt it's related to the DP cable. Please file a support ticket and share the ticket number with me. However, you might want to try wiping all Pimax files and folders and doing a clean reinstallation.
  21. Hey @jaydee Unfortunately, I don't have any advice for spotting. However, BigNewy might have some input, as he has a Crystal for testing purposes.
  22. Sorry, I didn’t read the message clearly. Let me check with the team to see if Crystal Light owners will have the same discount offer when upgrading to the Super. @WipeUout Unfortunately, there's no current schedule to rework the upscale mode for the 8KX at this time.
  23. Hello @Keith Briscoe The tracking algorithm is a long-term project, and our team is doing their best to improve it with every patch. Have you tried switching between lighting frequencies? You may need to check your local lighting frequency, which could be either 50Hz or 60Hz.
  24. You may try to avoid using the START command and instead use the following: "C:\Program Files\Pimax\PimaxClient\pimaxui\PimaxClient.exe" 1>nul 2>nul
  25. https://pimax.com/blogs/blogs/crystal-super-update-q-a You will receive $400 discount and has not changed. Unfortunately, no, but once the headset left the local warehouse, you can check the status. As the headset leaves the factory or Shanghai office for the local warehouse, it is allocated in batches. The logistics team will then schedule delivery to your doorstep one by one. The 8KX does have upscale mode.
