  1. That's funny, but why would this be a bad thing? If they feed off the community there's a lot of experience to draw on there to get it right, in case the devs aren't sure themselves.
  2. It's not whether something has been done before... it's whether it can be done better! :smilewink:
  3. Computer monitors generally have better color and contrast and sharpness (dpi - dots per inch), so the picture clarity looks better. However, the immersion factor is better when using a TV monitor through HDMI, and it's still good enough even for photo editing etc. The size vs. price is the determining factor for why I'd choose a TV over a monitor. I'm not sure a 32" would be big enough for me if a 27" screen cost almost the same. The monitor will look better, but if the TV was 40" for the same price I think I'd opt for the TV instead. Bigger is better... but the clarity of a monitor wins when similar in size.
  4. Oops, guilty of not reading carefully enough... just seemed _the_ obvious choice in the poll was omitted!
  5. Seriously?! A poll for the best joystick for DCS: A-10C, and the HW is not even an option...
  6. I thought in DCS: Warthog and Blackshark we're supposed to leave it linear (since the performance and handling comes with the flight model). However, in FC2/FC1 etc. using Saturation 100% and Curvature 30-40% for both X/Y and Z gives it a more realistic feel of the jet. Lowering the Saturation limits your travel in the axis, while Curvature tweaks the range of inputs so it's "softer" near the center, and exponentially gets more "coarse" after the elbow on the curve.
  7. Any update on how to (if at all possible) disable integrity check?
  8. Appears normal to me. Even when they are connected your throttles are still using separate hall sensors...
  9. Double post: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=69453
  10. @GA, You can report copyright infringement and plagarism to YouTube directly on the site and they're usually very accomodating.*
  11. How is the roll rate of the A-10C now in DCS, more accurate?
  12. It's a distraction and decoy... making us think what they want us to think while the real plane remains cloaked. :P
  13. No joke! Biggest bump of the decade. 169th_Akula, so what if it never happens... would you rather see more console games while PC games die altogether? I applaud any effort for PC gaming... especially in a market where the devs hardly make enough $$$!
  14. I agree with Spartan's comments! The only thing my 40" TV monitor (1920x1080) won't do as well as a computer monitor is its DPI (dots per inch... simply because it's bigger). So, yea... the resolution is the same, but a smaller monitor sporting the same res will have more pixels per inch, so it might look sharper. The iPhone's Retina display is a good example of this as they crammed 960x640 pixels into a screen 3.5" across. It looks extremely sharp, but when you put the same videos/photos on a bigger computer screen they don't look as crisp at all. I'm very happy with my LCD HDTV monitor and it's completely plug and play in Win 7 using the HDMI output from my vid card.
  15. What would be great is if everyone signed up and entered their serials in an actual database: www.warthogworld.com :smilewink:
  16. Sure did, and there's no need to modify anything. I just put the battery pack in my pocket and let the tiny clip wire run down my side when I'm using the TIR clip on my G930. (I can still get up, go to the bathroom, make a turkey sandwich, return to the computer - all while never leaving the conversations since the G930 also have G-keys that can be mapped for PTT in Ventrilo). Here's the lithium-ion battery pack I got: http://www.amazon.com/Duracell-Instant-Charger-Compatible-Devices/dp/B0016Y9R6C/ref=sr_1_5?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1297380614&sr=1-5 As far as headsets, I used a Fatal1ty headset (~$80 new - I'm sure they're less today) for years and never had any issues. One of the best I've had... but now, with the G930, it's stored away in the closet as a backup.
  17. Good choice!
  18. they're Same here, love it! Great sound, no wires (I even got a lithium-ion USB battery pack to power the LEDs on my TIR clip - and it almost never needs recharging, those LEDs don't exactly suck a lot of juice)!
  19. As always, very nice work SE & Blaze! Any shots of what the mesh looks like down low compared to high?
  20. YES, both will work with TARGET just fine!
  21. ADD YOUR SERIAL TO THE DATABASE HERE
  22. Looks Saitek to me. :joystick:
