I'm part of those who wait the 64 since 2009, dont be afraid, i'll enjoy that bird for years, i was just refering as "enjoy it instead of asking for things"
-
Enjoying the 64 should be the priority item for the next month or two.
-
you made 55
-
just posting hoping to reach 64 / INB4
-
Could probably reach the symbolic "64" before release
-
Wag litteraly say in the video that they released it before George cause people kept on asking. In other word, this may not mean "release" is "gold-ly imminent"

Looks like he's either trolling are havent live any disappointment in he's life and dont know how to handle ED xD

Can we expect any new features in the future?
hotrod525 replied to Digitalvole's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
We are missing air lunch decoy, firebomb, auto-carrier landing, complete feature for JSOW/JDAM/PwIII... So eventualy yes i guess we will have some new stuff -
The most eagerly awaited/anticipated module, by far, i mean super far, from any other. Even if you have no interest in rotary-wing aircraft, this one make you have some.

Must be playing to much "Early Access" stuff then i guess.

Aint he a "ex" Kiowa pilot ? @Casmo ?

Hopefully this week... Probably next one... Factualy Coming ***by*** March 31, 2022 (Q1 2022) / Coming No Later than 31 March 2022 IIRC the Module might release before all the videos are done. Someone asked Wags if videos were requirement for release and he said no.

As the release is feeling "imminent" for real, well within the TwoWeeks™ windows, is there any announce for "dedicated hardware" by any of the major manufacturer ? I've only found BugEyeTech and it doesnt realy look like they sell this to "casual gamer". Sorry if Off Topic.
-
"imminent" like next week ? Cause this sound like "let's bring the hype to the max" and people are already eager to get their hands on it. Of course you can still argue that Q1 end on March 31, but teasing like this with already several push back would make people not love it so much and you know that lool !

When will we see a major update to the games Core mechanics?
hotrod525 replied to ak22's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Recognising the huge progress made to DCS over the years, EDGE, clouds, effects, flight model of different missiles / planes revisited, etc, the hard work and everything. I'd say that some of us ''kinda share'' the frustration. (I'm quite sure DEV team must have some of their own too, human being human.) We know, ED studio is not Microsoft, and it not spiling dev out of nowhere. We do get it. But sometimes, it's just feel like it'll take forever to get a feature long speaked off / promised. Things that improve the playability of DCS. Dont get me wrong, DCS is in the Epic Class of game on several side, but when i pass hours in the editor setting up a mission just to know where everything is, it feel ''meh'' (Mission Generator and I arent friend anymore). When i pass 10 to 15 mins on the ground setup up my SEQ and my weapons before take off, i kinda miss the DTC. ( I've seen the WW2 update video, the fuzing features looks amazing, let's say it was ''long awaited'') Add delay and bad release on top, and yeah, you got some frustration in the community. I can settle in the middle that we need to be more patient and DCS does indeed need some critical new core features. On the positive note, we are currently all waiting anyway, so we are developping patience and pretty much all features we all mentionned here are in the pipeline or already worked on. (FLIR, Dyn-Weather, Dyn-Camp (or even just battle would do GREAT) etc, etc). -
i might be a bit off topic, but can we know the location Wags Fob located at please ? Asking for a friend...
-
I'd think that Closed Beta comes with a NDA to kinda prevent all of us being annoyed by the "1337 Ub3R U2Br" pavaning around... But as many mentions, the AH64D release have somewhat been frustrating, push back over push back. Yeah i get it, COVID etc, etc, etc. I dont blame ED, but kinda feel disappointed. #F18Memories...
-
Yeah ofcourse, many high-end IFV does have that capability, well in fact, even old one. The real issue here is the platform is not as heavy and stable as a tank so you easily hit the elevation (relative to gun depression versus the hull) limit as you go trough the terrain bumpin around. Specialy for wheeled combat vehicle and older the Gyro... worst is the drift. Anyway. #LetTryToNotGoTooMuchOffTopicBeforeBigNewWarnUs lol
-
Also, looking at the Gun video, TADS look somewhat stabilised when the X mark in the crosshair come's on'
-
This is like the essence of being an armor crewman lol ! I'll wait to get my hands on the module, but i honestly have doubt comparing a LAV 6 FCS and an AH64 FCS, will see.
-
On the tactical side, yeah. On the sighting side, i have doubt. Yeah the mechanic is the same, but i've never roll, pitch and bank at "such a significant level" while firing on the move. Only MBT have the FCS to fire on the move at 50 mph and yet that still a far cry from the 180 knots we are gonna fly at.
