  1. Yeah 1.4 is the latest version, can keep an eye on updates here. https://github.com/Kinkkujuustovoileipa/uh-60l/releases You can add a weapons mod to the UH-60L: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3326421/
  2. Yesterday around 23 of the VSN mods were updated and available for download to test. I tested the following VSN which seem okay at the moment. Things like the landing gear, flaps and weapon lauching problems all seem to be solved now: Eurofighter Typhoon F-4E Phantom II F-14A, F-14B and F-14D F/A-18F Hawker Hunter MK6 Mirage 2000 Panavia Tornado https://e.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=kZgx6gZWe5YWYUN63mIhQOYf9iAi8TzeMPX The CubanAce Su-57 Felon has it's own cockpit now and works with the latest update, need to select the bottom download that requires no mods: https://sites.google.com/view/spinossimulationsite/dcs-world/mods The F-22A Raptor by GrinnelliDesigns works now, need to download v3.0: https://grinnellidesigns.com/f22/ The F-15EX by Spino is also fixed as well, needs to be v1.8.7: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3340119/
  3. Depends, artillery such as the M777 Howitzer is normally lifted using the two-point method, front and rear. Over here in the UK they use a single-point for artillery such as the L118 Light Field Gun. Unlike the M777 which will have strops around the barrel and rear of the gun for two-point attachment, our Chinooks use a single strop that connects to the center-point but splits into four so gives a triangular shape for attaching cargo allowing it to hang evenly. They lifted a Sea Harrier once using a single-point Just found this on YouTube, can see what I mean rather than me trying to make sense of myself when I'm tired It's not just light stuff we use a single-point for
  4. I've not had rudder pedals for 3 years and have absolutely no issues flying aircraft or helicopters. I can fly just as well using my Thrustmaster T.16000M HOTAS as I could with the pedals, I use the paddles on the throttle for rudder control as it's much easier than trying to use the Z axis on the joystick. I mainly fly the Spitfire and P-51/TF-51 so only really got experience of them but I don't have any issues with them. The Spitfire for example, when I take off with that I apply a tiny bit of pressure to the brakes using gradual wheel braking, I never try using the brakes on/off function or feathering them. I just tap the brake pressure, which I got bound to my throttle and takes it up maybe 5% then I increase throttle to about 1.5k to get it rolling, up to around 2k then when I've picked up speed I will increase to around 2.5k. With the brakes on slightly I get good rudder control, plus on some aircraft you can lock the tailwheel with the stick by pulling it back and unlock pushing forward. I'm not sure if the BF-109 has gradual braking as I don't own it or the status of the tailwheel lock but pretty sure I could get it off the ground without pedals and using my setup, been known to fly with just a mouse and keyboard before I've watched friends repeatable make mistakes with take off. Some just slam the throttle open to maximum, others lock tailwheels while they are turning so it locks at an angle, it's like trying to take off in a shopping trolley. Have a look on Chuck's Guides, some real good info on there with all the DCS aircraft and each has sections on taming tail draggers and take off. https://chucksguides.com/aircraft/dcs
  5. Downloaded a few of my old favourites to try for a couple of hours today, only really tested what was broken such as flaps, landing gear and pretty much all usable now. These seemed to be good, although not fully tested but flaps, landing gear work and missiles and bombs seem to launch okay: Eurofighter Typhoon F-4E Phantom II F-14A, F-14B and F-14D F/A-18F Hawker Hunter MK6 Mirage 2000 Panavia Tornado These worked, but there were some issues: Hawker Hunter TMK68 (flies and everything works but for some reason it wants to go vertical most of the time, even pushing forward on the stick fully and trying to trim it) F-16A (v2.9.6) The default F-16A didn't load, took you straight to external view of another aircraft when launching. Other variants selectable in it did work though such as the F-16A MLU. Haven't had time to test any of the others and like I said it was quick tests based on what I knew was a problem before.
  6. The reason you are having problems is because you are installing drivers only, Adrenaline doesn't install any user interface at all on 'Drivers Only' just a reference in Device Manager as to what driver is being used. Clicking Alt+R isn't going to work because there is no interface to open, the bare minimum for the interface and recording features is 'Full Installation' You don't have to have a game running either to adjust any of the settings, Alt+R brings up the interface regardless of what you are doing and you can just select games and stuff in there and editing the functions you want, can do the same by double clicking the icon on the task bar. Just adding this for reference from the AMD site: Features and Menus Full installation provides all Radeon Software features and controls for gaming, recording, streaming, and performance tuning, available on your graphics hardware. Minimal installation provides only the basic controls for Radeon Software and does not include advanced features such as performance tuning or recording and capturing content. Driver only installation provides no user interface for Radeon Software features. Driver version information is available in Device Manager.
  7. Check your quarantined files, some AV's especially McAfee and Malwarebytes have been removing files, it's normally one of the DLL files in the aircraft Bin folder. Two patches ago Malwarebytes removed a single file from every FC3 and FC2024 aircraft which resulted in this problem and every FC aircraft not working.
  8. Some games optimise it better than others so although it may work in all games in some it has a negative effect and can cause stuttering, whereas sometimes you can stop stuttering by enabling it. That's what I like about AMD Adrenline, being able to switch it on and off in the software so if I play a game where it causes problems I can just disable it. Really need to be playing at 1440p or above to see any real gains, at 1080p most games are 1-3fps at best.
  9. Think they are referring to the Resizable Bar for the Nvidia GPU, or SAM on the AMD. I've got it enabled on my system and never noticed any problems and as far as I know it's used in DCS, least they posted about it maybe two or three years ago.
  10. That's what I meant, it should work as the F-15C is part of the FC3 pack, it's exactly the same aircraft in FC2024 nothings changed, unless they changed a file name on one of the DLL's. When I upgraded to 2024 it just added 3 new aircraft to the existing FC3 ones. When you downloaded and installed did you just overwrite the previous one or delete it.
  11. Odd, I've had FC3 and upgraded to FC 2024 and downloaded F-22A v3.0 today and worked fine, had to reassign the pitch and roll axis to normal as the F-22 settings aren't there for it anymore, was a couple of others I changed as well. You should have more than just the F-15C as well, FC3 included the A-10A, F-15C, MiG-29, Su-25A Su-27, Su-33 and the J-11. The FC3 folders don't exist anymore it's all individual aircraft so no reason why the F-22A shouldn't work for you, unless your running an old version.
  12. Sounds good, maximum ground speed for a Chinook doing a running landing is 60 knots.
  13. Just right click on the file and select 'Copy' from the menu, then go to another folder on your drive and click 'Paste' and you got a copy. There is a original copy included with the files if your not sure so you will have a backup. As you aren't using the Steam version your files will be in the one marked 'Standalone' in my original post.
  14. Never noticed the photo, was too busy eating my lunch and trying to read and type Yeah does look small and around Three Hundred size, looking at that photo can see it getting pretty cramped. I just built a couple of systems for clients and used the Montech cases to save them some money, better spent elsewhere within their budget as they wanted the Corsair 4000D cases originally. Personally the system I've built recently for myself I opted for the Antec DF700 but that comes in almost twice the price of the Montech, unless they get it when Scan has there offers on.
  15. Depends what Antec case it is, plenty of airflow in something like the Antec Nine Hundred, originally purchased mine in 2007 and currently housing my backup system which is only 2 years old so not vintage. Although sounds like he could do with replacing broken fans and maybe upgrading the existing ones. Came with 3 x 120mm front fans, 1 x 120mm rear fan, 1 x 200mm top fan and additional rear fan and side fan setup and never had a single heat related issue with it, even when I had dual cards in it.
  16. It's the main install location not the DCS Saved Games folders, don't need a mod manager but make sure you back up your existing 'steamCatapult.lua' If you are using Steam it installs to: 'Steam\Steamapps\Common\DCSWorld\Config\Effects\ParticleSystem2\' If you use Standalone from DCS it installs to: 'DCS World OpenBeta\Config\Effects\ParticleSystem2\'
  17. Use the Ctrl+F2 camera and move it to where you want in any direction, like under the wing to give a Top Gun cinematic view. This YouTube short is useful, especially for me as I don't have to type it all out
  18. I mentioned this about a month ago, wipers going back and forth but the raindrops still on the screen, like the wipers are floating just above the screen
  19. They are, most people find it too much effort to click on a box. When you look at the amount of people complaining about stuff then only a handful fill in a survey like this.
  20. Least I'm not the only one that thinks it's sluggish. Just wondered with the F-22 mappings, there was quite a few in the PDF that came with it where it said unless you used the special F-22 mappings things wouldn't work. Just seemed a bit odd that the trigger that is in that list no longer works unless you select DCS mappings. As far as I could tell from what I tested it was just the trigger. Maybe have a look at the curves for the joystick over the weekend, pulling the stick fully back results in a gentle climb, takes off fine it's when it's in the air
  21. This worked fine for me by replacing that line. Gear and flaps working fine now. As before the trigger wouldn't work for the cannon, but this time it worked using the keyboard command so knew it was a binding issue. As soon as I cleared the binding in the F-22 section (first detent) and assigned the normal 'fire guns' key binding it worked fine. Haven't tested much else as don't have time tonight but majority of stuff is working, weapons launch worked fine out the F-22 bindings section so apart from the trigger issue I've not had to reassign anything else. Only thing I did notice is it's a bit sluggish in the turns, I think 'pitch' and 'roll' are in the F-22 section so might try reassigning to normal pitch and roll on the joystick axis if I get chance tomorrow.
  22. I'm referring to aircraft, not every third party mod. As for the Razbam thing I don't own any of there products at present. I was however just about to purchase the AV-8B @ £55 and the F-15E @ £51 but until it's clearer on updates or if it's a dead product I'm not spending out on stagnant products. It's like buying a bicycle and the front wheel is missing and the store telling you they may or may not supply one later It's a shame they can't do similar to other game developers and do something like create a legacy folder with the few files that are needed.
  23. If the survey was about 'do you or don't you' fly/use third party mods then having 'none' would be a sensible answer. However the point of the survey is specifically about using third party mods, look pretty stupid saying to ED 'I don't use mods so I demand you fix nothing'
  24. I was flying the Bell UH-1M as well but don’t any more as I have the DSC UH-1H Huey so didn’t see much point. I liked the JAS 39 Gripen but had to uninstall it due to it creating issues, with it installed I was losing all my carriers and other Navy vessels so I couldn’t do any carrier operations with my F/A-18C. Out the VSN I would use the following: A-29B Super Tucano Eurofighter F-4E Phantom F-14A/B F-16 (C52) (several variations included) F-35 F-18F (several variations included) Harrier Mirage M-2000 (one of my favourites) Hawker Hunter (both the MK6 and TMK68) Tornado Other’s no longer working: Grinelli F-22A MQ-9 Predator Drone Spino F-15EX (another favourite) Stand Alone which still work: A-4E-C Skyhawk Community Mod Anubis C-130 Hercules MH-60R (modded from the Blackhawk) OH-6A OV-10 Bronco Su-57 Felon (works with the new stand alone download) UH-60L Blackhawk After that there’s all the maps, upgrades,, super carrier, helicopters and aircraft I purchased from ED, so not like I don’t support them.
