For the quick missions, you have to go into the editor. It is really easy to edit your load out. Just click the icon for your ship and click the load out button. Save when you have what you want and exit and everything should be good to go.

Any reason to update TIR to 5.1.3. if everything is working fine?

StrongHarm, any more details as we wait on our torrents? What is different about the AI besides KA-50s formation flying. What about wingman? I think that is what I care about most for AI, notice anything different?

The confusion and problem comes with Wags updates, saying that we are expecting a Beta 6, not a release candidate and that it's release was imminent many times, including a change log. The interview doesn't seem very official, particularly from my understanding, that Jim is in the military products side of the house (I could be totally wrong with that). Due to these conflicts, the peeps are ornery for solid info. You don't need a big "PR" machine or division to make a quick post in less than a few minutes over your lunch to assuage the masses.

If that is the case Sobek, then that leaves this next work week for it to be released fully to the public as a final product. If the decision was made, which it seems to indicate from Jim during the interview, why the hell not just say that on the forum for an update. "Hey guys, we were going to release Beta 6 a few weeks ago, but it was so polished and excellent that we are pushing for the release candidate soon, by the end of February barring any show stopping bugs or other unforeseen issues." Would that be so hard. And it would stop the Hoff, as well as shut everyone else up. Not sure what is the big deal about this if that is indeed what is going on.

For some reason I have a bad feeling about option "C". I hope that it isn't, but at the same time, the more controversy the more they may feel the need to address what is going on. So work up a shit storm via the rumor mill (only half kidding).

I think some sort of update would be nice. I'm losing faith here and the new conspiracy theories make me wonder. The internal confusion is quite surprising, and the stuff Mower is posting really does need to quit (I usually support the class clown but it has gone too far). Something must be seriously wrong internally at the company for a black hole to erupt after all of the imminent beta patch releases. If there was a legitimate business move, such as skipping to release candidate because they were close, most would understand, so why not some sort of update unless it is damaging to the company.

It's tough. One of the best ways is to listen to the other calls by pilots. They will give you a distance / direction from bulls. Then I jot some down as they go, and do bull - curs on the tad to find the spot, put a mark point at each and then slave that way.

Beta 5 was used to label another version tested for Steam compatibility. So we get Beta 6 instead which is the same as what Beta 5 was going to be.

nomdeplume, he needs attention tonight apparently. Folks, pretty sure IF they use steam it would be a side by side release. It will only provide a large influx of purchases due to increased accessibility and visibility. That means more cash for ED to make great things! :thumbup:

For us, in practice, they are going to be the same. I think for internal purposes, the label "Beta 5", was used up for a Steam build and they are just calling the next public release Beta 6. For this reason, Wags updated the title from Beta 5 to Beta 6.

Glad to hear a Steam version is quite possible. It will seriously boost sales and provide some much needed capital to reinvest in the series.

A lot of development time and focus on overall improvements are to meet military contracts. Military ain't one of them. We get the pleasure of having a civilianized spin-off. So yes, it is not delusional for them to meet the military's standards.
