  1. I believe that Dell was on my list at one point, but I stopped using the touchscreen as much and put Cougar MFDs and a Genovation 682U on a 19" lcd.
  2. Just a heads up for you.. I had a similar Hanspree from Amazon and sent it back. I had it mounted in my Obutto but my knees would hit those speakers on the bottom. The speaker is NOT removable. If that's not an issue for you, great. I had wanted it because it had no raised bezel unlike the Planar 22" touchscreen that I have.
  3. I've searched for a few hours, but I cannot find a list, or info on where I can find a list, of all of the iCommands. I'm wanting to edit my default.lua for the F-15C so that the cannon is selected when button 1 on the Warthog stick is pressed, and selected again when it's released. Before 1.28 this was fairly easy. I've tried editing the diff.lua, but when I do, cannon gets shifted to button 5 for some reason.
  4. Cubby, this reminds me of my Falcon mini console I built for use with my Obutto (though I don't have a router and I think you did a better wood/mdf working job) It's attached to my left rotating acrylic tabletop arm (no table attached to that arm), so that I can rotate it out of the way when it's not in use. The ICP is an old Aimsworth one. The screens are Lilliput UM80s removed from their casings, and the MISC panel switches are hooked up to a Bodnar BBI-32 card. Most of the structure is 1/2" plywood except the front. The grey part is 1/4" MDF. The backplate for the MISC Panel switches is the thinnest underlayment I could find at Lowe's (don't remember the thickness), and the frontplate is 1/4" MDF. The labels were printed out with a Brother labelmaker that does white labels on black background. After placing the labels, I did a spraypaint clearcoat, both to keep them on and to reduce visibility of the edges of said labels. When I can afford to do so, I plan on getting a third UM80 to serve as a CPD. I really try to go with the less is more approach... I don't have the time, patience, or cash to go with a full-bore cockpit that'll take years to build. :joystick: Building an A-10C UFC might be an option down the road also... if I make it small enough to fit where the F-16 ICP is now. Of course, I can use the ICP in DCS A-10C, but the non-number keys wouldn't have proper labels... I'd find it hard to do in the thick of things. Glad to see you back around. I'm getting lots and lots of good use out of the throttle HS kit, and by the way, it works perfectly with Realsimulator's TUSBA.
  5. Think about being required to have a FB account with your real name attached to it to use the product, and how much further that line of thought can take you.... I deleted my FB a year ago because I don't trust them and haven't looked back.
  6. I gave up on that as well. I also think the project in this forum is more likely to deliver an F/A-18 HOTAS than TM will. You'd think they'd sell a new throttle for the Hornet along with a stick handle that attaches to the Warthog base.
  7. The throttle tool never helped me, but I later discovered that the jittering in the friction slider is actually a firmware problem when the throttle's LEDs are active. If you disable the LEDs in TARGET, the jittering will stop cold. Unfortunately, TM have never seemed to issue a firmware update for this problem.
  8. Glad you've gotten something sorted out that will work for you. I used to have an Akers-Barnes, but with my bad knee, getting in and out became a problem. I got an Obutto R3volution about a year ago and it's been a Godsend. Now if I can just get out of the habit of building stuff. ;) That's a nice innovative method of mounting your touchscreen. EDIT: The biggest thing I'm liking is your co-pilot. :D I had a black lab when I was little, and if we had room, my wife would be onboard with us getting a chocolate lab.
  9. It is not. You would have to make assignments in whatever sim you were flying. If you needed keystrokes, AutoHotkey is an option. It works great, by the way.
  10. You could always do autohotkey, if TARGET isn't desirable to you. The only things I'm currently using TARGET for are BMS and the X-wing series. Though I plan to get the FSSB R3 to go with my (soon to arrive) TUSBA for the Cougar throttle. At that point if I need to do anything other than in-sim assignments I'll probably go with Autohotkey. I'll still keep TARGET installed so I can disable the LEDs.
  11. Just ordered it... looking forward to not having a cable between the TQS and SSC. I have the hall sensor mod already for the TQS, as well as the FSSB R2. I plan on the FSSB R3 Warthog when possible. Mainly, this is for future-proofing since Cougars aren't being produced anymore. :)
  12. That IS where I was going with that... :)
  13. Just made a pledge. Looking forward to this, and especially to see if touchscreen integration can become a reality.
  14. Well I do believe he wasn't seriously injured. :) As for the ejection in the PAS, I believe it was an F-111 (or an F-4). The PAS where it happened has a red spot on the ceiling. They call the departed "The Ghost of Red Section." Also, most PAS's have some kind of squadron art painted in the area.... the art in this one? A Ghostbusters logo. http://www.stripes.com/news/things-that-go-bump-on-the-base-1.56516 I know the MSgt Williams quoted in this article. ;) I almost bought his 98 Mustang.
  15. Hypo, I was a SP at Lakenheath and I heard that story. Happened there, don't know when. When I was there we did have an F-15E jump the arresting cable in the hush house on full AB and go THROUGH THE HANGAR DOOR, with the maintenance airman sitting in the cockpit.
  16. I can try more glue later... I used all I had on the top. However the connector appears to be protruding at a slighta ngle. Don't know how much that might have to do with it.
  17. Hot glue worked for the top connector. The only issue I seem to have is an occasional loss of connection when the stick is at the ends of its travel, as if the bottom connector is coming a little loose from the WH base.
  18. Well well I still have my original user name active, last used in 2005. Wow. I'll be using this name from now on. Zahry, the email address you have for me is still the same... I've had it for probably 6 years. .Mac is becoming a rare address to have anymore. ;)
  19. Yes, that's pretty much what happened... although on the second mission, I limped home on one engine... ;)
  20. I figured out my problem... I had clicked on one section to advance to, and was clicking "Save and Exit." I kept clicking and had five sectors selected before it let me advance. Maybe the troops are doing better than I thought? ;) (This is for the F-15C)
  21. Version 041 is freezing for me after the second mission.. ie, clicking on Save and Exit does nothing.
  22. "I'm not tailgating, I'm DRAFTING!" Ok, that's NASCAR, not LOMAC. ;) Oh, and Raven.... get rid of that damn ugly sig! (Go Wolfpack!) :p
  23. This looks alot better. ;) (and more expensive) http://www.gamechair.net/index.html
  24. Thanks for that, I appreciate it.
  25. Cool deal... I'll give it a look then. Thanks for the work!
