  1. I am not impressed. Bad polygon usage: WALMIS F15 MODEL is superior compared to this! ;)
  2. S77th-konkussion already ate 2 rep points from me ;)
  3. BTW, members can ate them too :D Call me a noob but I even don’t know how to give these rep points! You can receive positive rep points (green dots) Or negative rep points (red dots)
  4. I am a little bit worried about the huge flames in afterburner. I suspect these yellow flames are not so cool (the initial plan was to cool the flames which would show rather the blue flames). The new pirate-like systems do love this kind of heat sources. Anyway I think that this raptor do own the ef2k in dogfight (please guys, easy with the rep points :D ) Anyhow the demo-Mig-35 looked more impressive to me!
  5. Happy birhtday !
  6. You have an eye for good-looking female! :D Keep going! Good work!
  7. Hi Raised_Dead85, Before you have a wrong idea of me :D ; I am a male and I am into cycling (shaving is an obligation) About your question: It is not such a crazy question. Anyway I think that your chance is about 1/2000 in the average country (make that 1 on 5000 for a big country like US or Russia) This means that the air force will select only 1 candidate out of 2000 pre-selected candidates. I remember that I was doing an examination for the European Commission. Also there were about 2000 candidates for 10 available positions in the IT. (BTW, I failed also, of course :D ) Anyway what I want to say: Don’t let you discourage by anyone. Ask around what are the requirements and begin to study (mathematics will be very important even more than languages). Also to survive the G-test you must be in very good shape anyway I guess? (I never tried any test for the air force in the past and I regret it).
  8. The AIM-120A was a terrible missile! Didn’t you know that? :D It was actually worse than the Viet-Nam-sparrow07. You can read all about it in …. I forgot the title… Something about Eagles in Desert Storm….(I will look it up for you tomorrow) Good night :D
  9. Thus if ED-1 from LP does not respond to Swingkid his remarks means that he “beats” ED-1 from LP I honestly don't mean to be rude too and I have all the respect for your friend Swingkid with his nice collection of documentation and formulas but I have btw info of a real life kill by a Dutch F-16A MLU on a Yugo-Mig29 (including the recordings). AWACS was on top of it: the first F-16 was unable to get a lock-on the Mig-blimp and needed to break off because he was already running into Alamo range. Another F-16 approached the Mig29 had also problems to get a lock on (again cursor problems with his blimp on his scope). (It was about at 15nm close to get finally his lock on the Serbian Mig29 and he could at last launch his 120) And No, I don’t give you that source… BTW, there could be tons of reasons why you can’t get a lock with your cursor: -ground clutter -weak signal (the blimp is actually already a history blimp) -more than 1 air-target that show only 1 blimp on your scope (are you going to lock 2 at the same time maybe?) Good night... :D
  10. The Eagle pilot said the word “practically” ;) Ok, Swingkid is in your camp! ED-1 from Lead Pursuit is in my camp: He quoted: “ Ok, lets take this step by step in the sim, 1) the F16 radar is affected by lose of range aprox 50% from Jammer. Each ac has its own ECM and non jammed detection ranges so the 20nm is only for a F16 vs F16. 2) the F16bk52 radar range is aprox 41nm 3) If you see contacts past 40nm (basically 32nm +), this contact is most like a group of ac shown as 1 blimp on radar (outside bubble the vehicles are 2d entity). Once you get into bubble range they are detected as each ac. You can test this easy in Dogfight module as there is no bubble cap range. The ECM and radar ranges are close to older version just that now we have more versions modeled. Any documentation from past versions of F4 will work fine with AF, the concept is all the same. I don't see really anything wrong here. Ed LP Dev ” About AESA: it is practically impossible to jam an AESA radar thus burn-through concept is practically not existing.
  11. Intel® Pentium® D Processor “Powered by Intel dual-core technology “ Is not the same as "Intel dual-core” Anyway whatever I don’t care …:D
  12. I think you did something wrong! You need to: -convert the files to format bitmap .BMP (use a photo-edit program) -move the files in “…\Bazar\TempTextures” (Path in my zipfile is wrong: “…\Bazar\TempTextures\korea-skin”)
  13. Ok, do you have a source that explains why your “quote” was not implemented in any version of lomac or falcon? Or a source that demonstrates that your quote is true! Your quote “Western radars should be able to lock anything they can detect/see on the scope” Of course we are not talking about AESA radar ... Even with an AESA radar: Let suppose it can show an F-22 or a F-117 on your scope doesn’t mean that you can lock it.
  14. There is no such thing as a “Pentium Dual Core”. You have an old Pentium OR a new Dual Core.;)
  15. Very good plot… If you ever want to make a part II or some kinds of a sequel then check out my Korean Mig29 skin: http://users.belgacom.net/gc363831/fc/korea-skin-mig29.zip North Korea skin for Russian Mig-29A by Sonny Tuckson. Install: à First convert the files to format bitmap with extension .BMP à Put the files into “C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Eagle Dynamics\Lock On\Bazar\TempTextures” “MIG-29-PAINT-DEF-10-L.bmp” “MIG-29-PAINT-DEF-10-R.bmp” Based on Mig-29A clean bitmap template ( 2048x2048 )
  16. Wait a minute…. http://img46.imageshack.us/img46/7784/04lm4.jpg Oh OOOH, about that last picture! I want to join the red team :D Where is the next meeting?
  17. These vipers look even cleaner than the original lockon skins :D Great pics anyway…
  18. Maybe it is the new F-16 Blocks! :pilotfly:
  19. You got already some OC results? BTW, AMD Phenom FX not before Xmas in stores! (Looks not good I guess)
  20. I am surprised also; RL combat vets are doing worse in this top 4! 1. Turkish Air Force -> 1228 points (viper rookies?) 2. Jordan Royal Air Force -> 1194 points (viper rookies?) 3. Belgium Royal Air Force -> 883 points (Yugo/Afghanistan war viper veterans) 4. US Air Force -> 778 points (Iraq/Yugo/Afghanistan war viper veterans) Correct me if I am wrong! ;)
  21. It would be interesting to get some comments from Rhen on your quote ;)
  22. Doesn’t surprise me :D Sand from Iraq all over the place too…
  23. I am talking about F-16 AN/APG-68 but I think that the F-15s radar is only stronger radar but based on the same technology/principles RWS = Range While Search (only 1 target) RWS-SAM (2 targets) TWS = Track While Scan (16 targets) TWS is a radar mode that tracks multiple targets at the same time. In TWS (AN/APG-68..) you can Track up to 16 targets simultaneously. That’s the good news. The bad news is that you can’t search the same volume of airspace in TWS. TWS (AN/APG-68..) only allows you to select +/-10° 4-bar scan or +/-25° 3-bar scan. With RWS you have all the options 1-bar, 2-bar and 4-bars scan. It takes time for the radar to complete a full sweep across the scope. If you select 4-bar, it will take longer-in fact, twice as long as in 2-bar-for the radar to complete the sweep and start again. The conclusion: If you have only 1 target and you are sure then it would be very stupid to use TWS because RWS is about twice as better in this case. With lockon I never used STT (because modeling is wrong and indeed you are better with TWS in lockon)
  24. Ok, let suppose that you should be able to lock anything you can detect/see on the scope then still it would not be possible because you can’t lock before ECM burn through! I am about 99% sure that the real F-16 AN/APG-68 radar in RWS shows targets at 70nm but you can never lock them before 50nm… My point is your quote “you should be able to lock anything you can detect/see on the scope” is wrong! In falcon 4/FF3x CobraOne this is not before 40nm for a Mig29S and no lock before about 20nm! (flying the viper)
