It would be nice to show our happiness with our wallets!
OneEyeRoss replied to mazex's topic in DCS: Cold War Germany
I have put money in savings so that whenever it drops I can buy it straight away. -
We would really need Bad K. Those 8th ID guys need somewhere to be when the alert sounds....

I was looking forward to Hohenfels, Grafenwoehr and Vilseck....but I guess I'll have to keep waiting.

I think most of us would be interested in VERY VERY early access! Patience has never been my long suit. I will be honest though, and say that my main interest is in the actual Fulda Gap region and flying helicopters. Retired Army, so I spent my time on the ground in the Gap, not flying over it. I am really enjoying the videos that have the jeeps driving around....it is looking SO good.

I was assigned to the Clinic at Yakima Firing Center. Permanent party at a firing range is always "fun"....

The road from Bad Hersfeld to Fulda would be a great chopper flight, or Alsfeld to Lauterbach. Take a Huey down either 7 or 27 at about 500 feet....When I get the map, I'm taking a jeep from Friedberg on 275 to Lauterbach, then the 254 to Alsfeld. I want to see how close it is to what reality was....

I would love the TOW Cobra (NATO USAREUR 70/80) since we are getting the Gap map. Or an OH-58B. (As long as I am dreaming, let's ask for a F-105D as well...it IS Easter Bunny time!)

Will there be a trial for Fulda Gap?
OneEyeRoss replied to OhNoMyHookBroke's topic in DCS: Cold War Germany
Oh, just jump in like the rest of us and buy it straight away. If you are a F-15 jock or A10 driver, it is THE war they were made for. -
How many GI's dropped a lot of their paycheck on Kaiserstrasse? I only went to see what all the noise was about....you know, to observe the locals & stuff.
-
Wild Chicken. Only went there a few times. Once as a tanker, once as a medic with a Combat Engineer battalion. They were blowing stuff up, so we had to bring the band aid box.
-
Alert? Lariat Advance! Send the GOERS to the ASP and get loaded! Heading to the GDP! Break out the small arms. (APR 1976, 3AD - when we started breaking out the small arms ammo I got worried.....just an exercise to judge how long it took us to get combat loaded).....

Dr. Mueller's in Frankfurt?

A few things I want to do: Overfly Hohenfels, Grafenwohr and Wildflicken training areas. Land a chopper in Romerplatz, Ffm. Drive a jeep from Friedberg to Alsfeld. Drive a jeep down Kaiserstrasse, Ffm and see how the lights of the "houses" look in DCS. Too many things....going to be fun.

There are some very talented developers who have recently stopped their work because of all the nagging and nit-picking they were getting. I would hate to see the Nomad go that way. It will be done and put out for us when it is done and put out.

I served with some of Mac's 100.000. Yes, interesting is a great way to put it.

Regretfully, these switches won't work for me. Have to keep looking.

All I can find is the analog thumbstick replacements. The d pad is part of the "motherboard" for the controller.
-
OK, I'm trying to build a collective, and the OH-58 has these d pad style switches for SCAS, Radio select switch and Chan select. Other than using a digital thumb stick, is there a source for these cross shaped switches somewhere? I have been pulling my hair out trying to find someplace to order them.
