Hosting DCS at Server 2012 R2 -- extreme lagging, rubberband effect
Kuky replied to mcdaniels's topic in Multiplayer
^^^^ This is what it means, network code was not scaled linearly to number uf users connected to the server. Server (outgoing) and client (incoming) trafic vs clientsQTY (kB/sec): Server___Client1__Client2__Client3 40_________40 150________75_____75 330_______110____110______110 With 1 client both server and client had same BW used (40) With 2 clients you would expect that server would be having double the BW (2x40) and each client would have 40, but it was more than that. You can imagine how much more BW each client would need to have with lot of people connected... but it should still be 40 (I think, but I could be wrong). Anyway, this is now according to ED fixed in this open beta patch... and looks like it will help reduce BW used (which should be awesome if it works) so please test it. -

lines 3 and 4... these values are in bits (8 bits = 1 Byte, 100Mbps = 100x1024x8 bits) not sure which one is upload which one download this ADLS 10240 setting seems to be 160 / 64 KByte Try this value for both (up and down), I think this is for 100/100Mbps line which you say you have guaranteed, I really wonder if it will help 104857600, -

Hosting DCS at Server 2012 R2 -- extreme lagging, rubberband effect
Kuky replied to mcdaniels's topic in Multiplayer
You know it could also (quite likely) be that actual network throughput (due to network congestion) is less than 100Mbps. The 100/100Mbps connection you have for the server is most likely not guaranteed BW, it is just the max you can have at any time, and at times of high internet traffic, there is good chance that network is congested. Do a test if you can for that server you have, try download and upload large file, and check for BW utilization especially at peak hours (evenings). -
I disable ASC only when I stall it due to high AoA and too low speed (lets me have better control to recover from the stall). I am now to flying the Flanker trimmed down even before I roll for take off (about 60-70% trim down) and adjust trim more as I gain higher speed (600-800kmph IAS).

New build advice and recommendations
Kuky replied to BIGNEWY's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Nice built BIGNEWY About the fans, IF you have air filters on fans, it is better to have more air blown IN then sucked out (by the fans), and reason is minimal dust in case ;) By having more fans blowing in, you create higher air pressure inside the case, not allowing any dust to be sucked into the case through MANY little holes and gaps that exist in all cases. I have this setup on my PC and in many years I used it I have never had to cleat the case or componenets from dust. I recomend this to anyone. The air filters I use are super fine mesh ones and any dust build up is on the filters which are easily cleaned. -
Oh my... I cannot believe how stupid and clueless some people are :megalol:

I need to kidnap one of you guys to make a pit for me :)

Long awaiting the MiG-29 here also... well keep on waiting

Good luck, and translate well :smilewink:

I noticed this also, I am pretty sure its because when you ground stabilise the piper and want to move it, the aircraft nose is not stable and moves around in respect to ground stabilisation point... so when you want to move the piper right and aircraft nose is moving left, the piper moves right in respect to aircraft nose, but if nose is moveing more left in respect to locked point on ground, the piper will appear to move left also in respect to locked point on ground. I don't know if this is realistic though... I would hope not For now, at least untill this is fixed try to keep nose stabilised when adjusting the piper and don't let the piper move on HUD before you start adjusting. I just checked, this bug is already reported (Bug #28839)

Awesome render shots!

The light when using R-60M does work (seeked needs to lock onto heat source, not just have radar lock with missile selected). Use FiO mode for them. The other 2 light I forgot how they should work, maybe when missile is selected and locked onto target.

LOL :megalol: Now on the serious side... are we there yet?

Not at all, I have GTX980 with 4GB VRAM and its enough for 4K resolution.

Girls have their own catcy phrases like "'cause you're worth it" to justify spending money on makeup and what not, why can't we have one for us guys also, he? ;)
-
You hang in there... you are doing good and I among many others will get your HOTAS grips :) Good things take time and are most importantly... WORTH WAITING FOR!
-
There are much more worse things you could be spending money on :)
-
Real aircraft have FW stick throw shorter for a reason, you don't want to push down on the stick too much as it creates negative G's and when you fly you want to avoid them. Joysticks on the other hand have same throw in all directions.

Well yeah... the developer(s) have set this thread as [Fixed Internal] so they are noting that they fixed it... how, I don't know :)
-
Well "Fixed Internal" clearly means that developers have fixed this in their version, which is not released to public yet, hence the "Internal" tag, so just now you need to wait for the fix to become public :)

DCS: F-14A/A+/B by Heatblur Simulations coming to DCS World!
Kuky replied to Cobra847's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Why don't you guys leave this pricing talk be... let the developers figure it out ;) But I just want to say one thing... some people would pay more than others, so to say something is not the right price is wrong... when price is higher, then people that have the money and still want it... they will buy it, as sales start slowing down (less of those people that will pay good money for it) then they can reduce it and more people will buy it. Also there are sales there for a reason. Now nough from me... talk something interesting (like about the jet) and not about what is the right price... when its out you will know what it is. -
This sounds like music to my ears... I really hope you get this working as you plan... I am planning to be your customer :)
