The box shape LOD being invisible from underneath is fixed internally already, but I don't know when it will be brought into public release, so just hold on, fix is on its way

video card is now sold If anyone wants water cooling block and backplate, please PM me and make an offer
-
I get 32fps in A-10C and 25fps in MiG-21Bis on Runway (Kutaisi) (high settings, 4K res, GTX980, i7 3930K@4.4GHz, 16GB RAM)
-
yeah, the water block & backplate was around AUD$180... but really awesome to cool with water. The GTX980 I bought I am water cooling also, the card is under 30°C idle, and never saw it go over 45°C in game :) (I was using GPU-Z to check temperatures)

AUD$100 anyone? :)

Well, to model something as accurate as possible you need to have real data, info, FM charts, systems and most likely access to real aircraft, (and for military aircraft you'd probably need their/military approval to create such software for the public in the first place) So if you don't have those you can't model it... not accurately anyway, if you create a module of such aircraft anyway it'll be based on guesses and ED are not about such modules for DCS aircraft.

I can't say how well it will run DCS World 2.0 as its integration is still WIP What I can tell you is that after installing GTX980, it is not that much faster card for DCS... I get maybe 10-20% better fps... and honestly money wise, I think it was not worth while to buy the GTX980 to replace the HD7970 but since I've done it might as well stick to it now. HD7970 has 3GB of vRAM, GTX980 has 4GB (game still doesn't use 3GB even on 4K 58" TV) I never used that card for single standard HD monitor anyway (I was running 3x 27" before I switched to 4K 58" TV). I am pretty sure this card can run standard single HD monitor with DCS at 30fps but let me not be the judge of that, wait for someone else with same card and single monitor tell you that. EDIT: sorry, I think I was wrong about 10-20% increase... I turned off Ambient Occlusion in options and the fps is better and smoother... I was flying in 2.0 (testers build) and my fps was in 40-50's with high settings with which I was gettings 30-35fps before with HD7970

Hi all, I recently bought a GTX980 so my HD7970 which I used for about 2 years is now spare and just laying around and was wondering if anyone would like to buy it off me? I am located in Sydney and would preffer to sell to someone local but if need me I will ship nationally and internationally (but buyer pays the shipping) I have all the original packaging I am not asking for much I think, AUD$150 would do. If you have water cooling you can have the full cover EK Nickel WC Block & backplate that I was using also for no extra cost (currently the block is still attached, if you don't want the water cooling I can take it off, clean the chip, apply new arctic silver thermal paste and attach the original cooling - which I never used as this video card was water cooled from the 1st day of use... and temperatures were just awesome) so send me a PM if you are interested

Adjusted keyboard settings means when you fly using keyboard the pitch axis now does not return to center when you release the pitch up/down key, it stays where you left it in (by pressing the pitch up/down keys).

I was looking forward to seing this movie but now that I read your comments I am not so excited any more... I hate war movies that are just Hollywood's piles of crap

Public inquiry. What is your PC video card?

swapped my long used (and still much appreciated and good performing) HD7970 for a GTX980 (yes I switched teams) -
Drag of the flares has been adjusted to match much more realistic trajectory of the flares. The effect is likely still WIP... you will get to like them soon enough. I really hated the way flares when dropped would just keep going as same speed as aircraft... this is now matter of the past ;)

I'll never feel bad to have suported the indiegogo, and have bought it at full price also... the module is well worth it. If they discount it later (which happens all the time) they get more people to buy it which wouldn't want to pay the full price. I still don't lose anything... I am thankful they made it in the first place.

I think your game is broken, on my end no crash happens.

testing if I can write in this thread :D

New Trailer for Chuck's Youtube Channel
Kuky replied to Charly_Owl's topic in Screenshots and Videos
Nice video  -
a movie aye... I see, well it did sound little fictional to be true, but you never know with secret stuff anyway.. otherwise it wouldn't be secret :) The underground airport is true I know, when I was in my teens I heard people talking about aircraft coming in and out of a mountain... many years later we all know now what it was. Thanks for the comments.

I just stumbled accross this trailer aparently of an upcoming documentary... very interesting I must say (especially as I come from that part of the world :D) There are lots of thing unknown to the majority of the world about former Yugoslavia, but I must say this one makes me very surprised. Has anyone actually seen this documentary? If yes, where can I find it?

Anyone still using Foxy for Cougar?

I'm sure you'll run out of ideas how to use all the flags, before you run out of flags :D -
I've put TrackIR on top of the TV... while TV was on a standard height desk which I used before it was too high and I would lose tracking looking down. Then I decided to remove the desk and mount the TV lower so that my eyes are looking at about middle of the screen... and with this lower position I don't get TrackIR losing tracking any more when looking down.

Well its not your fault that its been discounted so you have nothing to be sorry about :)
