  1. - Removed everything concerning Scratchpad i had installed. - Fresh download of latest Scratchpad - Fresh download of latest Scratchpadplus - Compared both with previous download, they are the same. - Installed it again, folders just look like your now (except in Hooks folder i also have DCS-SRS and TacView in there (previously also)), enabled keyboard and sitrep - Scratchpad works but no keyboard, no sitrep..(and no clear button either when i add that). , just the main scratchpad with a working F-10 map thing. - Stuff that works works both in 2D and VR. Could Windows version have anything to do with it? I'm on Win 10 Pro, latest version.
  2. Went through the entire topic again. Mmm, looks like the older versions worked without the extensions, the keyboard was build into scratchpad-hook.lua (if i'm correct). I can get this version to work, with a keyboard that works but in that version the F-10 coördinates thingy doesn't work. If i switch to the latest version, the F-10 stuff works just fine, but no keyboard, nor anything of the stuff in the Extensions dir works. This might be due to the fact that the Extensions dir sits in the wrong place or that i put the files that are in the Disabled dir into the wrong place to make it all work, but then i tried all places i could think off... no joy on any of the extensions. Can someone for who this entire extension thing works (including keyboard) post a few saved games directory screenshots so i can compare?
  3. Weird that it doesn't work anymore (keyboard showing that is or any of the other extensions). Scratchpad itself works, also pulling coördinates from the F-10 map works. I just miss the keyboard. This is on a 2-weeks old install, no mods. On my previous DCS install (which lasted several years), scratchpad worked and when i installed the keyboard, it also worked from the first time. So it baffles me a bit why it doesn't do now.
  4. Same here, no keyboard anymore Used to work fine, i'm on a new install (new PC), installed latest version of the scratchpad and added the keyboard but it will not show up. And without keyboard, the scratchpad is pointless in VR. Must say that the other extensions (clear, sitrep etc...) don't work either when moved out of the disabled directory so i guess they need to be copied into another location... although i tried about every location already.
  5. Just gave it a go, works fine right here on 2.8, just as it did in 2.7.x Didn't need to change anything, all bindings from 2.7.x where still there.
  6. After the update to 2.8.xxx i took the F-18 out for a little test flight on the Marianas. This runway texture problem is still there on every intersection. The screenshot below is from Antonio B Won Pat airport.
  7. LOL, payed 475€ 3 weeks ago, local shop had them at 519€ (currently 369).
  8. Update: Changed the airflow from the top picture to the 2nd one (but left the second exhaust fan on top). Will add a 3th fan on the front as extra intake (below the radiator, but only have room for max 100mm fan) to equal the balance between intake and exhaust. Together with this change i also changed the thermal pads on the GPU. Used Gelid pads for memory and the other stuff and Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut on the GPU (stepped away from liquid metal after seeing the GPU). Gave -6°C on the GPU, -8°C on the hot spot and -11°C on the memory so not to bad. Had expected a little bit more but it's not that easy to define what the exact height of each pad needs to be and because i found 3 different measurements on the tube for my GPU card which made it hard to decide which one was exactly the right one.
  9. The top ones are filtered, the one on the back not (but it's not dusty in here, i'm a clean boy). Another question then: ventilators in front of the radiator pushing cold air through the radiator to the inside or vents at the back of the radiator pulling cold air through the radiator to the inside? And why... Another reason why i choose setup one is that in setup 2 hot air from the radiator flows over the GPU which already gets hot on full load.
  10. New PC, Case: Be Quiet Pure Base 500DX. AIO Cooler: 280mm (2x140). Problem: Overlooked the fact (which is in the specs) that a 280mm AIO cooler can't be mounted on the top (fixation holes do exist) due to the motherboards northbridge cool element being to thick. Radiator alone or fans alone is no problem but together it's a no go. So decided to mount the AIO on the front, radiator on the inside, fans on the outside pulling air from the case through the radiator to the outside. So far so good. Mounted two 140mm fans on top and one 140mm on the back to draw air in but something is keeping me awake that that's not the best solution. So i currently have this (not my setup, just an example): Instead of 1 i have 2 fans on top and my radiator is mounted so that the waterconnections are on the bottom (that way the overall airflow is less interrupted). However, it's called an unusual setup but OK. The most common seems to be the reverse of the one above (not my setup either, just an example): So the opposite airflow of what i have. Why did i choose for the first setup? If the cooler is mounted on top then mostly hot air in the case is drawn or pushed through the radiator to the outside. In the first setup that idea still stands, on the second one the radiator should stay a bit cooler but hot air from the radiator is drawn into the case which i don't find ideal. What do you people think?
  11. I have set them up on the MIC switch (Thrustmaster Warthog, script), for every heli and airplane the same, only depending on how much radio's the heli/airplane has (same goes for other functions). Big advantage at my age: only have to remember it once. PS: i don't care about mimicing real controls, for that you need a full copy of the cockpit.
  12. Can you describe what i need to see because i have no clue what to expect. (i just ran a test with G-Sync set to full screen only but i see nothing different).
  13. I have a G-Sync capable monitor but i have never seen the indicator, not in nvidia settings, nor in the monitor settings. Currently i have G-Sync in nvidia CP set to both windowed and full screen mode because if i untick full screen it's windowed mode and for that G-Sync needs to be set to both. (used to run Full Screen all the time until version 2.7 changed the behavior, now forced to run windowed (whatever it is, borderless or not) to avoid DCS minimizing). And if G-Sync full screen only still minimizes DCS when i click on my second monitor, i don't see any reason to change it since it doesn't solve anything.
  14. Since ED removed the ALT-ENTER function, i wonder what the Full Screen setting actually is doing right now (switch between window mode and borderless window)? Because now, when Full Screen is selected "and" you have a second monitor connected and click anywhere on that second monitor, DCS minimizes on the main monitor each time when scrolling through a manual on the second monitor is plain annoying. The only option to not have DCS minimized is untick full screen mode. So this whole full screen, window or borderless mode gets me superconfused to fact that i don't know what i currently look at, full screen, borderless window or window.
  15. 1: Lot's of games are still single core... and for a reason. 2: I play (almost) on top high settings, i just don't chase FPS but put a cap on it, gives me some nice headroom to crank it up. 3: Do you really need them? 4: Honestly, for the last year i do nothing else. For the cut in framerate, just look at how many units (AI and real life ones) there are compared to single player. And then that extra headroom comes in real handy. 5: What are you still doing here then? PS: And since you seem to be the smart ass knowing it all, a solicitation perhaps at their headquarters to point their noses in the right direction?
  16. On the other hand, mine runs perfectly fine and super smooth. So...?
  17. I passed on Apple, I passed on Tesla and will pass on nVidia this time around.
  18. Yeah, the first thing i do is look up if something runs automatically when it's not needed, same for services.
  19. It fell right on the tip of a corner from max 2cm height. Because my local supplier doesn't sell them i looked at the be quiet! website where i could get one but on the checkout it stated that i could not buy from my location (?). Contacted be quiet! support and after sending them the photo they are gonna supply me a new one, free of charge.... @BitMasterThanks for the info on the PBO thingy. Crappy software story: I don't care for any RGB stuff but since i have it on board now i wanted to see if i could turn it off (PC sits under my desk anyway, no need for any RGB). Installed RGBFusion from the Gigabyte website, played around with it, turned some stuff off and left it installed. Yesterday i wanted to try something in FS 2020, ran target to activate my FS2020 Warthog profile but once in game HOTAS did not respond like it should have been. Looked up the bindings in the controller section, no Thrustmaster Combined but 2 separate devices as if Target didn't ran the script. Checked Target, script runs, re-load FS2020, same story. Quit FS2020 again, stopped the Target script, ran it again but then i noticed it came back with an error, trying to install a filter for one of the 2 devices. Never seen that before, tried another script, same thing. Started search for solutions, found a few, as usual none of them worked. Also uninstall, reinstall Target, no joy. Then stumbled over a post on Reddit about filters being applied to USB devices all of sudden. The post contained also the cause: RGB Fusion. Uninstalled it and Target scripts ran fine again... F* RGB !! Lost a few hours of my precious life...
  20. Can't set PBO (no 2?) to either CPU or Mobo limits, only Auto/Enabled/Disabled/Manual. In Manual mode nothing of that sort of setting either, video's on the tube have that but i don't. Maybe due to BIOS upgrade for the 5800X3D? BIOS version: F4d (to support the 5800X3D).
  21. With everything installed (or better, the most important things) and everything working hardware wise as it should it was time to close the case. Last part, the glass side panel. Reached for the first screw and then side panel slipped my fingers, tapped with one of the corners on the floor and....
  22. Currently the 2 tops vents and the one at the back draw cool air in. Hot air goes out through the radiator in front (2x140mm vents pulling the air through). In my previous case it was the other way around but that's not possible with the 280mm AIO (or i must modify the case but i'm not willing to do that yet). Played with the idea to have the top and back vents draw hot air out and push cool air in through the radiator at the front but the idea of already blowing hot air into the case did hold me back. Will look into supporting the GPU, i don't have anything directly lying around that fits, need to make me something. Good tip BTW. RAM is OK, no problems with that. Just had 2 little sweaty moments during the build where i thought WTF: 5800X3D wasn't recognized by the mobo so i had to (blind) flash new firmware, without the CPU installed and later when the main monitor didn't got a signal from the onboard HDMI port (my second monitor is still DVI and i have a Displayport --> DVI cable but no HDMI --> DVI so i could not use that to try). OC: still need to look into that, my previous one (i7 4770K) ran at 4.5 coming from 3.5 but i need to get me some info on OC'ing an AMD. From what i did read yet, the 5800X3D seems a bit sturbern when it comes to overclocking. Gonna install all the software first, OC is for later.
  23. In the end moved it to the front and the intake vents to the top and one at the back. The radiator alone would fit but not with the fans on it (or vice versa). One last thing to do: put heatsinks on the NVMe's. Edit: somehow links to photo's uploaded to Imgur or so won't work anymore, what do i miss.... (below is a direct upload)?
