Any News to Share? Any update on Steam release? I have Steam version on my laptop that I take on trips, and would love to work on the campaign when I am away. Thanks fredm2002

Seeing the same thing after a few weeks away due to surgery.....kinda cool, but I am sure that ED and Heatblur will get it fixed up soon.

Thanks, Chuck, I too have enjoyed the new flight model and have found time from other modules to enjoy the C-101.

Similar Crashes here. Attached is crash log and dxdiag file. Maybe Nicholas or the HB Team can let me know. This has happened five of the last seven quick missions in Persian gulf only, at least for me. I have an intel 8700k, Gigabyte Gamer 5 MB, 32 GB of G-SKILL RAM, ASUS Radeon VII. Basic computer, really. All drivers up to date, no crashes on other modules within DCS. I have also flown F-15, A-10C, F-5, and no crash. Still love the Tomcat...…………..ANYTIME BABY!!!! This only happens to me with F-14B and a in single player. haven't done much MP since tore up shoulder and have to pause a lot with one arm at this time. DxDiag.txt dcs.txt

Awesome to hear! Thanks, Cobra and the HB team!!!! Your efforts are very much appreciated! -
Radeon VII, what do you guys think ?
fredm2002 replied to BitMaster's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hiromachi, I kept the setting the same, then experimented a bit. I will continue to tweak until I get what works for me. I usually kept everything on high anyway on the RX580, and got descent frame rates. I haven't flown anything online yet. Will try that today. I also have done some tweaks in the AMD Radeon App that comes with the drivers. I also use AMD Link or what ever its called to monitor video stats from iPhone. Fredm2002 -
Radeon VII, what do you guys think ?
fredm2002 replied to BitMaster's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I have had my ASUS Radeon VII for 24 hours now and flown DCS as well as other titles for the past day. I am seeing a range of 60-140 fps depending on the flight. In VR, I am seeing 45-75 fps (using default DCS VR Settings). RAM usage is between 7 to 14.1 gb of VRAM depending on the mission and settings. For me, so far I am impressed. I have another computer with an nVidia 1070 with 8gb RAM and the Radeon VII is smoother. At least to me. I will let others judge for themselves, as I though I would share my obersvations. Can't wait for the Tomcat to see how that looks. -
Awesome News !!!!! Thanks for the update. Fredm2002

Hi Nicholas, When will we get some info on the T-Shirts that were sold with the F-14 module? What sizes will be available? I would hope you would have XXL? I know everyone is busy working on a release candidate, so don't need an answer right away. :) Fredm2002

They will announce when it is ready, I know I am saving a vacation day or two for when it is released. I trust Nicholas and the crew will announce when it is ready. Fredm2002

I plan on buying it to support the team, and to have some "light" air combat at the same time. I already own all the modules and some multiple copies so don't really need it but will be fun.

What do you do first when the tomcat is available?
fredm2002 replied to Mking's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
I am going to take the Cat for a cruise around the Persian Gulf, then send a thank you email to Heatblur and ED for such a great opportunity for non military to enjoy the fruits of their labor. -
I am sure that Nicholas and Heatblur will make it right for everyone. They are very customer friendly, I have found. Fredm2002

I am hopeful for a preorder and more art work shared for the project. Would also like to read more about the campaigns and other content.

As always great information and looking forward to a day one purchase.....Thanks HeatBlur!!!

Thanks Heatblur, Nicholas and the rest of the team!!! Every patch makes the Viggen even better and enjoyable to fly in DCS.
-
Hey, not my first choice but it will be a 1st day purchase to add it to my modules, while supporting ED, and 3rd Party groups. I look forward to the project.

Go into your hard drive where the simulation is installed, then follow this path. Your path may vary. C:\DCS>DCSWORLD>MODS>AIRCRAFT>AJS37>DOCS I hope this helps!! Fredm2002

Too bad we couldn't preload. That would allow slow internet connections to get a head start and allow more to seed it later. Just a thought.......
