  2. IIRC BAe Systems DIRCM could tell the difference using the UV emissions of the rocket motor of the IR missile in order to use the right laser frequency to burn out the seeker head. Also stopped false positives in the warning system. Shame we couldn't have that in a mid life upgrade ;-)

  6. If you click on the scratch pad it toggles keyboard input on as opposed to having to hold down tab.

  8. But wouldn't a floating "hole" in the pilot look a bit silly and break immersion even more? These kinds of features just get recursive... How far do you go? Walk out to the aircraft... drive to the airfield... key binds for getting the pilot dressed in the officers mess? All would be nice, but lets get the important things done first. By all means include these things - but let the developers do them at the end of the product maturity cycle. No disrespect intended.

  10. Hi Delenda, Glad you got something figured out. I was stuck in the office until late so I didn't get a chance to get back to you last night. For the SPDT you will need to use two inputs on the the game pad... For example UP to input 9 and DOWN to input 10. The ground will need to connect to both inputs if I recall correctly. You will then of course need to edit the controls LUA to move the switch back to off when it detects the input is no longer live. The DCS control system can deal with both momentary and toggle inputs. Glad you've got a working solution, but from what you've described there is no reason why it shouldn't work without extra software... just a little fiddling required. But well done! I have just finished putting together a spreadsheet of all the components and part numbers I need for my sim pit... over £150 from rapidonline :cry:

  12. I think that might be something you need to set up the the LUA scripts... there should be an example in the sticky. I'm at work at the moment, but I'll have a look when I get in. But good job so far!
  13. Sorry, my fault I'm used to relays on dimmer racks... forget that they're not an interchangeable term... yes quite correct a standard SPST toggle is fine.
  14. I looked at that exact same bit of kit and concluded it wasn't worth the money. You can only have one switch per input as far as I'm aware. It's ok if you maybe want to run some LEDs but you would have to do some programming to get it to work. But for that's it's over priced and you probably want to look at some of the other solutions available that offer much more for the same price. Just hunt around in this forum and you'll see lots of examples... I made the electrical power panel with the fuel boost pumps included, as I own a TM:WH I can get to engines running without touching keyboard and mouse. I used this... http://www.maplin.co.uk/pc-usb-gamepad-36985 I opened it up and removed the PCB, you will see the buttons make contact with a pad, one side of which is ground and the other is 5V. Bridge each of the pads with soldered wire (a bit fiddly) and a toggle relay, mount it all in a project box. You will then need to do a bit of LUA script editing to handle the fact that the relays are not momentary but always on, and job done. Small programmable switch box using standard windows gamepad config, for less then £25 including project box, relays and solder. I strongly suggest a look at the stickied topic at the top if this forum, I basically worked through that. WIth a bit of practice and some solder you can do the whole thing for less then the cost of that board from Maplin.

  18. Dooom? Is it possible that you have a 2 stage trigger like the X52? And that the fire button is mapped to the first stage rather then the second? So as you squeeze the trigger the first stage triggers but then stops as you pull past it to the second stage. Make sense?

  21. I could be remembering this wrong... but I think this was discussed before and someone from ED indicated that the satellite view was not possible. The satellite view is generated by the sim engine which is a separate executable, unlike LOMAC which had the GUI in the same executable as the sim. However I could have just imagined this conversation....
  22. No! Unacceptable... Why won't it run on my Ti-80 I shouldn't have to turn down the details... I demand my money back! ;-) But back on topic... This is a seriously good patch, I am very happy that ED are going to such lengths and providing the regular updates. So many developers these days are supply and go. Bravo! Now if you can just include a feature in the next patch that stops me making a "bbrrrrraaaaappp" noise with my mouth every time I squeeze the second stage on my TM:WH please. It will stop my gf looking at me like I'm a day release from the Royal Ed Hospital.
  23. Never mind that... the new motion blur effect on the prop is astounding!. Updated water shaders too! But what about the frame rates? Will this run on my 486? Otherwise it's just lazy programming! ;-)

  25. Hi Bahger, Great mission! Played it as an SP mission, solidly good fun. The only thing I noticed is that the drone on 130.00 didn't start reporting targets until after TF THUNDER was in the town. But otherwise... perfect, just right length for a quick afternoon mission. Really liked the voice coms, especially the UK pilot :-) Bravo!
