Single campaign SU-25T Oil War Caucausus, and others campaigns with many units. In single missions (not campaigns), or campaigns with very few units, it does not happens (for example, mapple training). It seems that it´s related to mission complexity.

Hi Bignewy, I don´t use any antivirus, only windows 10 defender. In addition, my system is very stable, and I have few process in the background or other tasks (I have with 32GB about 96% of free resources in windows task manager). I do not have had any crashes or hangs with others games that also are very demanding. I´m have DCS with admin permssion, of course. I noticed some common text lines I receive every time I have this type of "hang" in loading screens, just before the screen, it seems some sort of errors with "sound" of some vehicles (like bradley). I tried with reparations done, now total vanilla version (even I did dcs update with cleanup parameter). The same crash for me. After two campaigns missions (single) SU-25T Georgian Oil War, with many units, it shows infinite load screen after ending the second mission. Attach new DCS.log I have 2xSSD (1 TB and 2TB samsung evo), 32 GB RAM, 1080ti and Oculus Rift, i7700K, windows 1803 version, without others programs like antivirus or similar. dcs.log.txt

I tried this moddification with setting it old clouds (which not flickers in VR), however I have the same problem, after many repairs I tried

I´m in VR everytime, had the same sort of freezes after 2 or 3 missions

I have the same type of crashes, they are just freezes, just after ending mission the screen is "loading" forever, I had to end thorought task manager

No break MP, in 2.5.2. As requested by me to ED, it seems that ED remove breaking this modification for MP flights

Stutter whenever someone else hits/destroys a plane in 2.5.1

Stutter is related to loading textures of objects destroyed I believe, or loading effects, maybe it could be preloaded in memory for those who have high end PC -
For me, its the cockpit or module with huge fps loss, in comparison with others modules. A lot of % in performance hit. Do you have this problem?

Framerate improvement suggestion to the devs

I think that maybe no fps diference is because the replay code is processed by the CPU during all flight, maybe the only fact that is remove is the file save. If it could be possible that devs remove flight recording (CPU calculations), or make it optional, maybe it could improve FPS (or remove the stuttering). In Lock-On (year 2004), I remember that "save" feature was enabled by hotkey, not from the beginning. And then, the fps was lower (by 10% more or less, with more stuttering). -

NVG mod in 2.5.1 fixes the NV "one" reticle view. And do not hurt multiplayer in this version. Please devs do not remove this MOD for multiplayer purpose, specially in RV where you have to look instrument view

Terrain renders shadows at ALL time of the day. There is a gap of 20 minutes at dusk and sunrise where the fps drops dramatically, specially with trees. It seems that the fact of tree "more enlarged" shadow projected on other trees could be the cause.

Due that mission track saving does not work very well (in fact, most missions are incorrectly saved)... Why not disable (or making "optional") the saving track feature for flights? I think this feature could help to increase FPS if replays are disabled (for the player´s plane and others objets), with maybe less stuttering, etc, taking into account also that DCS world uses only two threads (game + sound engine). I rember long time ago when I had Lock On Modern Air Combat (LOCAM 2004), you had an optional saving feature (or not) to a TRACK, throught a key binding. I remember FPS were lower everytime I choose to start saving a track. So may be we could have the same situation with DCS 2.5.1 ¿? It dooes not only could affect multiplayer, because saving TRK file is active everytime. Please take in consideration, thanks

I noticed that "halo" from lamp lights from street lights are missing in 2.5.1beta. Please fix it, with that sort "halo" it was increased the immersive feeling of flight in night. Appart from that, I noticed a sifgnificant improvement during night time, specially with full moon and its shadows (well done).
