Correct. Its used for tgp magnification. Even so i only use the buttons as they are used in the real jet. MAXSenna - have you actually got the mouse wheel to function as zoom? Do you know it works or just thinking it should work? I have tried assigning the zoom view in the axis category to the mouse. What are the steps? Thanks

Which lua file? What about just making a backup of the lua file in case you need to go back to the "default". Would that work?

The instrument panel is too far away to be readable. The default view needs to be moved forward. Is there a way to do this?

With the a10 i set the warthog throttle quadrants slider dial as a zoom. I need the same thing in the f16 because everything on the panel, especially the MFDs are too tiny to read. I wanted to assign the mouse wheel for zooming but it doesnt work. Mouse wheel just turns knobs. I use the cougar hotas for the f16 and there is no axis for a zoom. Any way to set the mouse wheel for zoom axis?

When setting up my controls i saved the key binding settings by aircraft type f16, a10, f18. In all cases i can save the plane specific profile, but the load profile option seems to do nothing. It doesnt prompt me for the profile to load. And if it doesnt show which profile is loaded by name, i have go look at the bindings to determine. What am i doing wrong?

There is a template from ThrustMaster with mounting hole dimensions. You'll need to build your own raised base, but it is pretty easy to do.

Thanks guys. I was hoping there was something built-in. Not sure if I want to install 3rd-party mods. The instructions in the download for the 476 vFG - Air Weapons Range Objects says: "Packed for use with OvGME" - what is that? does this create ranges with the objects or do they still need to be placed? I'd probably be happy with just the real locations and then build my own ranges

I may have missed it, but was wondering if there is a built-in training range for the Nevada scenery. Something with procedures and targets of various types already setup. I know there are some third-party mods for this, but looking for the 'default' range that is part of the scenery. If someone can point it out in the documentation or its location on the map - thanks!

If you are looking for high performance for DCS, i would not go with a laptop. Take a look at the min and recommended specs.

Yup, Not interested in doing that. As I mentioned in my post. Current DCS configuration is messed up, I don't want to bring those problems along for the upgrade, so I will be downloading the modules. Re-downloading everything is not an issue.

I need to upgrade my DCS World PC and I want to reinstall DCSWorld and all the modules. I have a dedicated DCS PC running Windows 7. I will be installing Windows 10 on a new SSD for the OS; with two separate 1TB SSDs for Open Beta and 'Regular' DCS World. I won't be using any of the current SSDs on the rebuild of this system. My current DCS configuration is messed up and I will be downloading all components to the new SSDs. I'm not interested in trying to migrate any of the current files for the new install. Once Windows 10 is up and running - can I just connect and download all the components - is there anything I need to be aware of license-wise? Thanks.

Updating my DCS system also. 1 TB ssd for open beta and 1TB ssd for regular dcs world. Separate 250GB ssd for the OS.

Every time I try to do something in DCS... So today I am trying to fly the first mission in the Basic A10C campaign I bought a few years ago. Track IR is all setup and responds properly in the Track IR program. Going into the mission the Track IR lights are on - but there is no movement - I cannot look around the cockpit. I am stuck looking straight ahead. Is there some key binding I need to have in the controls section or some checkbox I need to tick? This has worked before not sure what has changed. Someday I may actually get to fly one of these aircraft that I've purchased...

I updated my Beta and Stable DCS environments yesterday 10/24 and now DCS hangs in both versions. I have tried going into the module manager and campaigns and in both cases DCS hangs trying to open those menus. I have to kill the app from the Task Manager. DCS what have you done? Please fix this bug ASAP.

I have a somewhat similar question. I have both the open beta and DCS World 2.5 installations on one SSD - the D drive, which is now too full to do any updates or add the new A10C II. I have several other SSD with plenty of room. I would like to just move the Open Beta installation to another SSD - the F drive. Can I just cut the Open Beta installation folder and paste it to another drive? Assuming this is a correct way to move it - Are there any OS or DCS settings that need to change with a move like that? I am looking for some help in trimming the A10C. Trying to get the hardware and game interface settings to the point where taking my hand off the joystick in straight and level flight, will keep the plane in straight and level flight. The A10 will either climb and or turn instead of flying level. I`ve got the - TM warthog grip - Virpil curved stick extension - Straight extension - Virpil MongoosT50CM2 - Virpil Base plate I'm using the medium springs in the Mongoos I've played around with deadzones, curves and saturation but not getting any closer to a solution... Flying the A10C is a constsnt effort to keep it from climbing. Using the trim controls don't help. Seems very unrealidtic to real world flying. If anyone has had success setting up the sim in a trimmed configuration, please let me know. Thanks
