  1. The TM Cougar F-16 grip has the button lettering: WPN REL, TRIM, CAMERA/GUN, etc. like the real Viper stick - the TM A10 Warthog stick does not have this lettering. kinda obvious. If I recall - the new TM pictures didn't show the upper part of the stick where the F16 lettering should be. If its not there - its not an F16 specific grip.
  2. Isn't the hall-effect base a new feature?
  3. Thanks Thanks guys I will install the Cougar sw and setup the controls in DCS
  4. I have my Cougar HOTAS setup and working in Falcon BMS on my dedicated BMS PC. I want to use this same HOTAS on my dedicated DCS PC. Do i need to install / run the CCP program or drivers on the DCS system for the HOTAS to work there? I only utilize actual F16 HOTAS commands and don't program any extra functionality with Foxy. I want to just move this HOTAS between the two PCs. I understand i will need to program the axes and buttons in the DCS config screen, wondering about any external drivers, etc. that are needed.
  5. FusedSpine33 - Are you using the Bodnar cards to interface with DCS-BIOS, or just the Bodnar mapped to keys? I am looking for a way to build cockpit interfaces in DCS without using DCS-BIOS.
  6. I've got a full ICP I'll be selling which includes the DCS switch you're looking to purchase. Send me a PM if you are interested.
  7. Thanks guys for the help. I've got the beta environment installed and downloaded the viper. It looks like all my other modules are available to add also. I dont have a lot of space left on my dcs drive, but i'd like install the persian gulf and nevada sceneries. I just need to see how much space they take up.
  8. I have some a10 campaigns i bought a few years ago, havent even flown them yet... I thought i needed to keep on of these versions around to fly them. Is there some type of uninstall i need to do to rid myself of the open alpha, or just delete the open alpha folder?
  9. Ok downloading open beta.. now in additio to the open beta downloading, i have a folder/file structure for the following: DCS World DCS World 1.5 DCS World 2 OpenAlpha I will probably run out of space with the beta download, and surely won't habe enough room for the F16. Do i need all these folders? Anythi g i can get rid of?
  10. I have 1a 1.5 version as well as the version i mentioned. Now i need a third version?
  11. Ran the updater it says my version is up-to-date
  12. Dawgie79 Does thst mean i am a few fractional versionz behind what is needed? Shouldn't it automatically update when i login?
  13. DCS World Ver 2.5.5.35461 Is that the right one?
  14. Hello I purchased the Viper months ago, now ready to download and fly it. Where is the link to download? Shouldn't it be avalable for download in my Module Manager?
  15. I recall snap views and track ir working for me in the past - has this changed in the newer DCS World environment?
  16. . . . . . . . Okay, I've tried those controls. They work good. I seem to remember in the past I had it set up as a one button push to get a snap view, instead of having to hold the L-WIN button at the same time as the NUMn button. Also, the custom view stayed, until I hit another key, I think the Num0. I may have had to edit a file to get that configuration working. Does any of that sound familiar?
  17. I'm encountering a weird problem, where my mouse cursor needs to be placed several inches away from a menu item, for that menu item to be highlighted (selected). The cursor is always offset away from the menu item or icon in the Main DCS menu, as well as the sub menu sections. This makes navigating around and choosing options difficult as I need to move the mouse around until I see a slight movement or change of color on a menu button indicating it is selected. I thought it might have something to do with the weird Aspect Ratio setting of 1.6666666666667. I did manage to change the value to 16:9, however it changes back before I can click the OK button and exit. I haven't searched extensively for this problem in the forums - has anyone seen this or offer a solution?
  18. Thanks Thank you Rudel_chw I will try that.
  19. so what did you change to make it work? I have a similar issue. my mouse is offset about 5 inches on the screen to whatever I need to click on.
  20. Years ago when the A10C was a standalone aircraft (pre-DCS World), I had my aircraft cockpit views setup in a custom configuration. I think these were called snap views. I'm looking for any links that describe how to set these up. Anyone have links to the snap view setups? For example, I want to have close-up views configured for the following: Left console forward Left console back Right console forward Right console back Left MFCD Right MFCD
  21. Spathiphyllum - Did that repair work? I'm having a similar issue.
  22. Repair? Reinstall? Recently - I tied to do an update, the updater performed a 2+ hour 24GB download; then DCS displayed the message that it was removing unneeded files. I think this is because I had chosen not to keep the 1.5.x version. That removal process never made any progress and after two hours I killed the two DCS Installer processes that were running and some errors popped up - I've attached the error files to describe what I have seen. The system was pretty sluggish when I killed the process. Seems it was just spinning there for two hours doing nothing. The next day I restarted DCS World and it asked me if I wanted to update to the new version, which is the same thing it asked me the previous day - so this update strategy really isn't moving forward. I've asked support to advise me on how to fix this, but after a week of waiting I still haven't heard anything. My gut feeling is that its going to come down to a complete reinstall, but I wanted to try the cleanup and repair options first. Question: Given my strange DCS file structure which I described in my first post, are the cleanup and repair options likely to resolve the issue? I don't want to mess things up more than they already are... autoupdate_templog.txt
  23. According to DCS tech support - option 2 is the way to go. We can consider this thread closed.
  24. No Buzzles. No. Clearly my questions are about the three options I listed - looking for answers in that context. You clearly won't or can't answer on that basis which is fine. If nobody has experience with what I am looking for that is fine also. I'm not here to teach security basics to people - usually the DCS forums are more helpful.
  25. BlacleyCole - I didn't understand your text. What were you trying to say? Buzzles - you didn't answer any of my questions. Thanks okay, maybe you don't know the answer. But why bother responding with something else?
