  1. Ok. Thanks anyway. Was looking for a different answer. I`ll look elsewhere.
  2. Most USB device instructions indicate whether to have the USB device (joystick, throttle, etc) connected when running the installation program. Some want it connected before running install - some don't. I haven't found any mention of this in the Virpil instructions for installing the MongoosT-50CM base... I have a TM WartHog joystick connected to the base. Has anyone seen a mention of pre-connect or post-connect for the Mongoos when installing the software?
  3. I just received the DeltaSimElectronics Warthog slew modification kit. Instructions say I may need to update my WartHog Throttle firmware. I'm sure I don't have a current firmware - I bought my Warthog HOTAS in 2010 or 2011, and don't recall ever updating the firmware. Now my concern is inadvertently bricking the Throttle with a bad firmware update experience. For those that have bricked their WartHog Throttle - was ThrustMaster able to send a replacement board? I am wondering how supportive they are in replacing bricked components. What have you experienced? Thanks.
  4. I want to bolt down the TPR pedals, does a diagram exist for the TPR base's foot print, showing hole positions? I've looked through the TM manual and have'nt seen any schematics.
  5. Ok, thanks. So it sounds like the "every" version of the Nsno is a good choice for me.
  6. Any significant difference between the Arduino Nano and the Arduino Nano Every?
  7. Looking around online i see a number of different Max487 chps with different suffixes, like Max487CSA Will all 487 chips work for the DCS-BIOS type projects or is there a particular type of Max487 chip to purchase? Thanks
  8. What a great video. Thanks for posting Deadman.
  9. Thanks for the info.
  10. I just got the TPR rudder system. I don't use the T.A.R.G.E.T. software with any of my other ThrustMaster gear: WartHog HOTAS, MFDs, Cougar, F18 grip... TPR instructions say to download and install T.A.R.G.E.T. - my question: is it necessary to have T.A.R.G.E.T. installed to use the TPR Rudder? I don't plan on doing any scripting - I only use the functionality that is in the real-world cockpits. Anyone know? Thanks.
  11. This is a very interesting thread. Thanks to all who are posting such helpful information here. I think I am beginning to understand the Max 487 / Master-slave configuration, thanks to the excellent diagrams by Hans and Blue73. I looks like it may be an easier concept than I originally thought a few years ago. I've been away from this topic for several years due to real-world priorities, but I hope to get back to experimenting with Arduino / DCS-BIOS solution.
  12. I always cancel torrent and choose http. Downloads are fast this way. No complaints.
  13. There is certainly a renewed demand for F16 Cougar HOTAS. Don't know why Thrustmaster hasn't done a production run... Must be a licensing issue.
  14. FastNeatAverage Recommend the default training sessions first, then the more complex add-ons will build on those skills.
  15. Thanks for the info, maybe they can help. Don't need it as a replacement, i want the slider lever for a different project.
  16. Thanks, but i have placed the aircraft, an F16, on the Nevada map. The aircraft is sitting on the runway. It flies as an AI aircraft when i start the mission, all i can do is watch. I am running this in the non-Beta version of DCS World, if that matters.
  17. Trying to create a single player training mission. Can't figure out how to set it up so i can fly it. There is no "player" option in the drop down... What am i missing? Thanks.
  18. Thanks Norbot. I am hoping to find the actual component used, which is the plastic lever and also the rotary component. Anyone know the model # and manufacturer?
  19. I am looking for a supplier for the slider lever on the TM WartHog throttle quadrant. This is the gray lever on the right side of the throttle. Anyone know where this lever can be sourced from?
  20. I have an F16 simpit.... so side stick, here.
  21. There are virtual squadrons you can join, but typically you'll need to know the basics first. Fly the tutorials that came with the Hornet, fly them more than once, fly them as many times as you need to get familiar with all the systems and how to take off, land, navigate, etc. Remember the F18 (A10, F16, etc) are "study sim" level - highly realistic and require a significant investment in time to learn. The payoff will be understanding and being able to fly realistic aircraft in simulated combat scenarios. Read the manual, resolve any questions you have on how something works - be it weapons deployment, navigation or anything else. Post questions in the forums, watch training videos on YouTube. There is a lot to learn.
