  1. I can't see much wrong with the ILS gauges, but then I'm not a pilot, so know no better. ILS VIDEO
  2. You can get the trk and ACMI files here, (Fish027_ILS_Pattern_fog.trk.) ACMI file is TACVIEW_Fog_Landing.

Here's what i do WP page, WP option, input LL (as called, add leading zero for longitude). on scratch pad, OSB 17 followed by osb16, when detail is entered correctly, click the OSB9 to add as waypoint, (note the wp number first) steerpoint switch to mission, Hud soi, dms up/down to select the waypoint. TAD, soi, zoom out, hook the marker, DMS up long to make it spi. (hope i included everyting)
  4. I dident know about the clear option, good find. Isn't that the reason for the programmable master modes, so the display's can be tailored the situation, or to personal preference. I sometimes put tad on left and right. That way if i'm in DSMS, and need to use the tad, i can do it. And if your not carrying lightenin or mav,s you got 2 slots already.
  5. Lots of great information available here for all levels. Would be nice to have a db of all articles, links, videos etc, under the following headings. Type, (video, link, pdf, trk etc) Link (to the item) Topic / Subject (Weapons, Avionics, Flight procedures, refuelling etc) Skill (basic, intermediate, advanced).. Sounds like a job for the wiki. my 0.02$
  6. Actually, only need to load the DSMS section of the data cartridge. Shold load almost instantaneously.

  9. Updated this profile for P8000 Outer buttons can be toggled for left or right MFCD's or safe. Right by default. Safe mode sets them to Function keys, so can be used for views, or radio. UFC buttons perform the same in all modes, except the FUNC, LTR, CLR keys, which double up as pause, quit, and canopy in safe mode. Shift and fire keys used for left and right engines start in left/right modes, stop in safe mode. Safe mode keys always return device to right mode after toggle, to prevent them being pushed inadvertently. P8000 (dash2)

  11. As purely a 'flight simulator' it is up there (or better than) the best of them available, in terms of aerodynamics, physics, graphics. so..... Even if you never use the combat systems, it us sooo much fun to simply 'fly'.
  12. I'd suggest that you could get familiar with the flying part of the sim, if u map your hat buttons to the trim , then use the keypad, or mouselook to look around. For more complex stuff, like targeting, datalink, weapons, etc you're gonna need a hotas setup to see it at its full potential. If you think u like it enough, then there's lots of options for joysticks for this sim, and you might have to start saving. :music_whistling:

  16. Hi All, Recently modified my controller axis, and has made a huge difference for more accurate flying. You can see the kit I use from the sig below. Basically I removed all curves in my stick/rudder software, and added from the game. CH pedals Cougar setup
  17. This one will help me a lot, and perhaps i will stop breaking KC's. Really thought the boom operators were 'sleepy', could never 're-connect' after breaking contact. :megalol: Edit Yes that did the trick. Took a few reconnects, but picked up 3400 in a few mins!

  21. Only thing i had not tried was the 3gb hack. Tried it now and things looking much better. Anyone know if there is a downside to changing the default virtual ram like this Cheers.
  22. Is there someone using the cat 11.2 and the new CCC, and who has a good stable environment, in 1.1.0.6, willing to share all the CCC settings, + those used in the game options. I think this would be a good starting point for me trying to debug the graphical issues im having. 1. CTD on mission start in the air, occasionally. 2. Cannot start on ramp, or from mission editor or on the runway 3. Texture (hills) become single colour. 4. Cannot see the body of the plane, only the cockpit. 5. no external views, plane appears invisible. Settings for AA app set or not. AF app or not . Tesselation, amd optimised, or Use app set Caalyst A.I perf or quality Refresh off or on Triple buffer on of off Game MSAA on of off Vsynch on of off HDR on or off TSAA on of off cheers.
  23. Ran into a problem with my install. So opened the Protect.exe, and 'deactivated'. At the end it incidated '9 activations left' which was about right, since I had porked an install some time back, and did not 'deactivate' before the reinstall. This time i un-installed. Then re-installed full, same folder etc. Patched to 1.02, then ran the protect.exe again, and chose 'activate'. When it finished, it told me that i have 6 activations left. Why would a single install take me from 9 to 6 activations ?
