  1. Bombs don't do so well if guided from release at high altitude. Best released with CCRP, that makes them pretty accurate anyhow, And last 10 seconds or so lasing fine tunes them. With autolase 'on' you get the laser automatically fired on release, so bomb gets 'Lased' through out its flight.
  2. There's really no substitute for good navigation. Check out what BBQ is saying in
  3. Give yourself enough time for fence checks, before calling in to JTAC. For GBU's Set autolase 'off', set laser latch 'on'. Attach from high alt up to 15k. If target is mobile, change TGP to 'POINT' mode. Turn laser on 8-10 seconds before impact. :smilewink:
  4. Gotta get your speed down to 120-125 knots (empty) for touch down. Then you'll have plenty of stopping space at Batumi (8000ft!). :smilewink:
  5. Open the game, choose 'OPTIONS' choose 'CONTROLS' from the dropdown, choose HOTAS, Find the mic switch mappings.
  6. Its the little airplane symbol on the HUD. It indicates the direction of travel of your aircraft.
  7. If your last waypoint is on your homeplate, yes. Or you could use a divert, and and make it SPI. It's what i like about DCS A10 so many solutions to each navigation problem.
  8. What if you only have a tacan for that runway ?
  9. Check this Video on BPI's
  10. The learning never stops...
  11. Cheers, updated as a comment in the vid.
  12. 1. Note there's 2 zooms, one for the pit, and one for everything. If you got a spare rotary on your stick, you can get very precise control of views. Critical is a mapped 'pause' key for TIR, so when you get the view you want, just 'freeze it' till you are finished. I don't use precision mode. With a good TIR profile, you should not need it. See this post, and this . 2. You can map your numbers and character keys for the UFC directly to the keyboard, because ED was considerate in avoiding using them in their default mapping, but you'll have to map the other keys, sys,wp,flpln etc to others maybe ins/del/home/end panel. 3. Point of the 3d clickable pit is to be able to do just that with the mouse. Probably best go wit the flow on this one. 4. No 2d panels in DCS. but lots of 'snap' view options. Again if u got a good TIR profile, it takes care of all that.
  13. Yes it does. Many thanks.
  14. check out the 'flight fundamentals' section on this sticky thread 'SEEING IS BELIEVING'
  15. Not sorted on this one yet. what ive found. 1. Default mode for flight plan is TO-TO. 2. In Mission mode, All WP's default to TO FROM 3. Changing STEER ATTRIBUTES from the NAV-ATTRIBUTES page has no impact in any of the AAP Steerpoint DIAL modes. 4. Waypoint attributes can be changed 1 by 1 with CDU WP -WAYPOINT pages, but changes have no impact in FLTPLN mode. So I still cannot see how to (from the pit) 1. Change the ATTRIBUTES for the full flightplan so they impact in FLTPLN mode. 2. Change the ATTRIBUTES for a WP, so its impact is seen in FLTPLN mode. Would welcome any clarity on this.
  16. Here's my setup, using a rotary on the stick, and TIR. I know there's much debate about free track etc. But for me, I gotta recommend TIR.
  17. Great App. #Cheers, donation made, to help with further development. Hope you can keep up the work.. Now i need to get an Iphone desk stand.!!
  18. Cheers Slacker, your a gem! Too late now to try it, will do it tomorrow. Edit, could'nt wait... Works a treat, for waypoints, now need to try it for flight plans. Hassata, The TO-FROM is answered above. Here's what the manual says.
  19. Hi all Working on understanding the CDI. At the moment, by default, in a flight plan, the Course Knob has no impact on the CDI, unlike if using a TCN as the navpoint, or WP0, the course deviation is based on the difference between the CI and the navpoint bearing. Is there a way to slave the CDI to the CI, for a normal SP (As default, the CDI is slaved to the pre-programmed Flightplan course between the current SP, and the previous WP.) Cheers.
  20. Thats the time you should not just jink like hell. Take control of the situation. Put it just behind you 3 or 9 o clock, and keep you eyeball on it. When you see the burst, watch and push or pull on the stick to keep 'ahead of it. Remember, he's trying to 'lead' you using you current flight path. You got to make sure you don't end up where he's anticipating you will be. Also take into account the 'dispersion of the burst. For me that's safer than turning and closing my eyes hoping for the best. If you are up against more than one it gets a little more complicated though.
  21. Go to NAV CDU page, Choose 'ATTRIBUTES' There it is. Change current SP to see next and so on..
  22. U could use it as a guide for ingress or egress for a high threat or target area, if your FP did not follow that route.
  23. Cheers dude!!! . I also use me CH pedals for Live for speed, with my old ferrari wheel. They got chocks which fix the 'rudder' part, so the toe brakes are the accelerator, and brake. They're great.
  24. CH pedals here, with cougar. No compatibility issues. Solid pedals so far.
