  1. Great, I got my profile made up for me Saitek P8000, just waiting on the OSB mappings now!! 3 modes LEFT (red), RIGHT (green) and SAFE. I use the rocker to toggle modes,
  2. But u got a core I7!! Any way, we cant have it both ways, All that eye candy comes at a cost. If I wanna tour Las Vegas, ill do it in FSX. For A10, what I need is enough scenery to give me a good sensation of flying, and targets. But if i turn on my tgp or mav, and it turns to a slide show, then its no fun, no matter how pretty outside is. my 0.02$
  3. You could use 'Groom', in north of map as base of operations, and steer clear of Las Vegas. Would be nice if ED give us TCN and ILS for it. Maybe they will, since there's only 2 strips on the map :smilewink:
  4. I think the reason its not available as an analog axis in the sim, is because in RL its worked from a rocker switch on the A10 throttle.
  5. Beta 2, works for me in Caucasus theater, but not Nellis.
  6. Yes, beta2
  7. Nate, your a wealth of info. I hadn't got that far in the manual yet. Cheers.
  8. Is there a way to dim the HUD. Would be nice to dim it right down, like in BS to give better visibility of distant targets, and in dim light. (night vision helps a little only)
  9. This approach is only good for static targets, as it uses the 'force correlate mode' which locks on a point on the ground. But where circumstances allow it, it has a much greater stand off range than trying to lock onto small targets, which in the current beta, requires you to get in close to gain a lock.
  10. And yet another Maverick Video. Hope this one will clear up some things for people. KGQX-27-8Mg

    CDU View?

If you got a spare rotary on your stick, you might want to use like this. TIR used to zoom in / out of targets, and rotary mapped to longitudinal displacement. I also got the TIR pause and center mapped (i use the KP+ and KP-, since my throttle replaces those). For me this way feels more natural than snap views. N2BfF8rx9Sc
  12. If the TGP is totally lost, i try to put the steerpoint in the hud and slave TGP to it with china fwd (or aft, cant remember). Then i make TGP soi, to get control. If not, i make a target in the hud with TMS up long, then slave TGP to it with china . Have noted sometimes, if steerpoint is on the hud, and i make a target point separate on the hud, TGP wants to slave to steerpoint instead of target point. I wonder if this is happening when steerpoint is outside hud. Would explain why sometimes its difficult to get TGP to look in front!
  13. Cheers, done all that. Love how it works in A10. Don't have to use the rudder much now for landing, under high speed. Thought how difficult it is to keep the su25 straight, and toe brakes would work a treat. Pity.
  14. Just got a shiny new set of pedals, with toe brakes, and went straight the the options for su25 to set them up. But lo and behold, no options for left and right. I would have thought that would be an essential part of any AFM ? Maybe the su25 only got a single wheel brake ??
  15. Hi here's a short vid showing how to plan a flight using mark points from in the cockpit. LcTVbLDp0Lc
  16. Cross wind landing. If you have cross winds, the pitch ladder and fpm will shift downwind in the hud to compensate. ON approach put the fpm on the runway. This will put the nose into the wind, and prevent from drifting downwind on approach.
  17. Cheers, just cracked it............. 1. make markpoints from cursor on TAD 2. make new FP on EGI 3. make new waypoints and assign markpoints to each. 4. select the new FP as current. 5. switch CDU-Steerpoint rotary to FLT-PLAN Sweeeet...... Now how do i remove WP's or FP's?
  18. 1. I can see from the manual that flight plans, and waypoints can be created from the EGI. However its not clear if a waypoint can be created in the flight plan, from the cursor position on the TAD. I know it can be done for mark points. 2. Can a created waypoint or flight plan be removed using the EGI ? Cheers.
  19. Outstanding !!! Great reference document.
  20. A little easier to set latch, since its on the TGP control page. A little more work to get to the auto lase on the DSMS control page.
  21. When slewing the TGP pod, from the pit, look over your shoulder at the right wing, and you will see the camera on the nose of the pod moving!! :clap_2:
  22. Worked a treat, on Zsu-23. Auto-lase on by default.
  23. Its more to do with how much 'sceenery' is visible i think, see the differences with low and high sceenery below.
  24. Scenes made a bitter impact than hdr for me.. All those trees is a big hit. Suggest try it on low. Biggest FPS hogger is TV and MAV screens in certain zoom, and direction situations. Especially if you use both together.!! Hope this gets optimised with FV.
