  1. :D And on a sidenote, what i posted on my facebook page earlier has nothing to do with todays update. :)
  2. - I agree ;) Oh, 3D tracking means that, the program I use tracks the entire footage, and places dots (or tracking points) all over, and when it's done rendering, it creates a "virtual camera" (basically a camera that moves with the same motion like my in-game camera) within that scene, so I can place objects and other "Computer generated images" (CGI) and make it look like they are actually there within the scene.
  3. It's Cato actually ;) I believe it's better than the teaser i made long ago, for Flaming Cliffs 2, which was pretty much only Text :P But like I said, this was also an experiment for me, since I've never made a 3D tracked scene like that before. But this footage will be included in the final movie, though maybe not the entire scene. :) And I thought about showing an F-18 in there (AI), but that could also indicate that the F-18 was causing all the mayhem, so I'll let everything be up to your imagination. :P
  4. What about .WMV format?
  5. You are right, I noticed that now as well. Hopefully this will get fixed soon.
  6. I reuploaded the video to see if that fixed the glitching artifacts that happens right after the camera flies through the fireball, but it's still there.. It's not present in the main file. Weird.
  7. Hey guys! Just something I felt like creating the other day. I know it's way too early to even talk about such a project, but this (for me) was more than just a teaser/clip. It's also me experimenting with 3D tracking within DCS World. :) Anyway, hope you like it, I'm pretty excited to make the full movie when the time is ready ;) - Edit, uploaded the video for a second time, there seems to be some glitching artifacts with the video at around 0:21 - these are not in the original video file, so im guessing it's a youtube issue.. VIMEO Link: https://vimeo.com/72108479 - Best quality.
  8. Just to fill in, there will be no information given by me regarding DCS: F-18 unless it's already been given/released by ED and/or Matt. It's still way too early anyway. ;)
  9. My solution (for movie-making purposes at least): Have another AI plane fly at the exact same speed in the same formation (or somewhere else on the map for that matter) heading in the exact same direction, and simply use the F2 view from that plane, pan around and "place the camera" inside the tanker, then hit "Left ALT - F2" to pan around from that viewpoint. :)
  10. 27 here, running around in my busy daily life :P
  11. From this "over-edited picture", taken from Project 10, you can see that this runway is not flat. :)
  12. This old game came to mind, from 1997: Good luck with the project. :)
  13. For a first DCS movie, that was pretty good :)
  14. Happy Bday!! :D
  15. Oy, didn't expect to see this pop up in here already. :D As mentioned by others, that is not a screenshot from the sim. But yes, i'm very much preparing for this project, though it's still a long ways off. :) Let's just say that this is the project i am most excited about.
  16. And what exactly does that mean? :P Something "similiar" to what a GTX 790 could have been?
  17. Been looking at buying a 690 myself for a while, but something tells me Nvidia will release GTX 790 at a later point. Guess I'll wait for this to turn up. :)
  18. I think you missunderstood me, what I ment was that, one can easily see the difference between 30 and 60 fps, but you'd had a tough time to tell the difference between 150 fps and, say, 200 fps.
  19. Guess this topic will be moved somewhere else sooner or later, just to fill in, this is rather false. Your eye can very easily see the difference between, let's say 30 fps and 60 fps. Once you go higher than this, though, it won't make much difference. And again, your monitor has to support such high framerates as well..
  20. Hehe just getting ahead of myself. :D And thanks for the comment :)
