Unfortunately this type of support from ED is almost to be expected. I do not understand this behavior. Gosh put it on the 3rd parties as this gyro problem was originally coded by ?? and therefore is not ED's responsibility.....Why won't ED fix these errors/bugs after numerous reporting's and years and years of ignoring said issues? I guess it is ED's standard operating procedures that they have found that works well in their business model. It sure isn't in the best interest of their customer base. Say hello to risk management.

Just restarted the new update...same one I believe...my initial version was, 2.9.6.58056 and now is updating to 2.9.7.59074. same updater 2.172.17. Don't know what's going on as this download version deleted a bunch of files...and I have not tweaked or mod anything totally virgin. Another 82 GB add. If this keeps up I'll need a 20 Petabyte drive. If ED and Rasbam keep up their bs I wont need any more space.

Updater is hung on "Waiting for operation to complete." Updater 2.162.17. I have this error message overlayed on a running open page. When I exit out of DCS the update message remains on my Alienware start screen. I tried a repair...nada. What gives?

MR. Bignewy, I am in the state of Washington, down a couple hundred miles from Nineline, westcoast USA. I have Xfinity(Comcast). I have the 1200 mbps speed. I am also suppose to have unlimited data...so their 1.2 TB data cap does not affect me. I am going to call them and double check as 4.6mbps is not going to work. I am wondering if that world wide data breach did something? Closed down lots of businesses.

I recently DL the latest version. 2.9.6.58056. It took over 12 hours. The fastest DL speed hovered around 4.6mbps. I just checked my internet speed. It is 622mbps. Where else can I DL these updates? Are ED's servers that slow? I checked my speed before I started the huge update 2 nights ago and it was 780mps my end, ED's speed never got over 4.6mbps. I will miss the Silver_ Dragon's information.

There are several other flight sims that are slowly adding significant characteristic flight options. Come a time when it may be financially viable to expand there existing genre to encompass combat experiences. Already 3rd party developers here, have coded similar offerings to other sim enterprises. Flight sim business is expanding. One would think, to avoid any negative options that may degrade one's position in this market. The list is long of successful companies making foolish decisions that folded quickly.

I read some time ago that Razbam stated they had developed F15 code BEFORE their involvement with DCS/ED. With that, Raz, would not release their code to ED, Because (?) When(?). ED instituted a requirement of receiving current code from all 3rd party developer modules as this would avoid any future problems ( Developer's unfinished code) enabling ED to be able to finish said code. So the inference, being a problem that should have been addressed at the onset of this contract. Caveat, read this as my opinion and I cannot remember where I read this information. Dilbert comes to mind. Notice....ED/Raz time is becoming almost critical for many of us ole timers. I do not say this lightly. Please end this!! Laz

Does this latest update cause any modules to fail, because a Dev not keeping current with ED's changes? I already have several modules that are unusable due to the mess with Rasbam. I do not want to lose anymore utility with any of my purchases with DCS/ED. Its bad enough to have thousands of dollars invested in EA titles that are not even close to being brought to the promised status of Released version even after years of very little attention to the numerous bugs/problems mentioned by the community. I am now asked to not request for refunds and wait until solutions to unknown circumstances are invented. How many times have I been asked to be patient while promises and problems seem to remain. I would like to hear ED comment on the progress or dropping development completely on MAC. FFDCS becomes too involved and requires constant tweaking to run. It becomes to tiresome to fly FF type study sims. I do enjoy it for brief times but find myself changing to other type sims. I do find when the desire to run DCS comes, I mostly fly FC3. I use VR which is better in FC3. But still wonder if ED is going to finish MAC?

With some added textures and such with FC3, I wonder if ED's proposed MAC program is not only on the back burner but has fallen off the stove. Perhaps a community type can offer some insight other than "They are working on it, or when there is news it will be in the news letter." Is MAC ever going to be developed?

I am currently on 2.8. I want to stay on a "stable" release. Has ED moved to the "Unified Version"? My confusion is the only listing is now 2.9. If I go to the download and select load , what version is going to load; 2.9 Unified or openbeta 2.9 as I have not seen a 2.9 stable available. Might have missed it.... Laz

Current specs. Quest3, have link cable, game charge head strap, facial interface, New still in boxes. Want to finally set up the quest3. Computer is I9-9900K, Win11, Nvidia2080 TI w/11gb vid mem; 32gb ram, ssd's. As stated complete nube to VR. Only software on pc is OS, and DCS 2.87 w/ all maps, most aircraft, helis, and no mods. Just DL the latest upgrades for DCS, stayed on 2.8 stable. I have not proceeded as there is numerous ideas for setup. I will only play single user. What sort of controllers needed?
