Yes, the first video by mikoyan shows crash of #17, Maj. Zsolt Rácz died in the accident. Investigation showed unconsciousness of pilot caused the accident. This was the first loss of MiG-29 in HUAF and the only fatal. Second footage is #02, a practice of the 2005 demo.

Can you briefly describe what 'some editing' stands for? :) I can imagine uncompressing the miz file, and repack it ro fc3 version file, but what else? Does mission complexity affects this procedure, or can it render it impossible? Like a huge server mission (e.g. 4c, 51st, 104th lobby servers)

The difference IMO is not really in the device. Of course, bigger resolution is better. Simple as it is. The problems are more often coming from the weather, or dust. Just think of, in Afghanistan, they're up around 2000-3000 AMSL and above. In a theater near sea you have much less visibility. Especially if mixed with dust. Just an example in my hometown, there is fog now for around a week or more, and just more to come :) Your pod is simply useless at 30km or more.

Thats a price you have to pay, not to have black dots instead. I know it is frustrating while movie making and like VFAT when you must superzoom. But in air combat, this is a real bless. It practically imitates air density. Other bug, just for my two cents: Missiles are giving away IFF signals on radar . . . All of them which can be picked up by radar.

So far in the Flanker series, through LOMAC and FC, DCS series, we have only seen twin engine aircrafts. Is it a core design in the sim, so it is hard to change, or this is not any problem? I mean in both ways. Either to make a fully designed single-engine, or a 3-4 engine plane?

You know more than me it seems, how Russians come to sell our MiGs? :D AFAIK, at the moment, Hungary has 6 B + 2 UB MiG-29s with 20 additional engines on sale, I can link source for you on that. All the rest of the planes should be in my 3km vicinity, but I can double check that ^^ We had total of 28 MiGs, 3 lost in 18 years. None of them was ever returned to Russia permanently, as I know.

Most of the time, 59th is running a training server, where you can have a2a and a2g target practice. Just look for "HDF 59th VAB" server, and if it is open, we always run this kind of mission, when our members don't need it. Just read the brief, you have all the information there, what you need. I've also thought about doing the multi-radio in FC2, but I've came up with a slightly different and a bit more simple solution :) What is against using TS2 and TS3 at the same time? You can go in TS2 for a general channel, where guard chatters are, and use TS3 for all other comms, and still you can have two hotkey setups.

Same with the Gripens, to get +1. Oxygen valves are blocking visual on few instruments. In simulators, many times its an advantage that you are "not" in the cockpit :)

Former 42nd RED Hunters began to fly Flanker 2.0 in 2001, and continues to fly ED simulators throughout the years. At the year 2005, in 59th VAB was formed, as the virtual equivalent of the real 59th Tactical Wing, based in Kecskemét AFB, Hungary - where many of our members come from. (full history) Over the years we participated in many community based events, like Red Flag (locerf), VFAT, or Crimean/georgian incident - recently. Currently we fly Flaming Cliffs 2 mostly, and looking forward to DCS: MiG-29 :D Few pictures here - no, unfortunately we didn't throw the CO. in the pond.
