Hi there! I got this problem: Windows 8.1, recently installed DCS. AMD 6350 3,9GHz 6-core CPU, 8GB1600MHz RAM, with a GTX760 (MA970UD3board) First I noticed low fps in DCS, but the source is convinient, the task managershows that my cores are only running in 1.33 GHz, and I don't know why the system does not detect that DCS would need more. Any ideas?

Hi there! My problem with X45 is that Profiler does not push keys as supposed to. Not even newly made profiles working. Win8.1 Everything orkds fine.
-
Why these two things exclude each other? It was well known in 1999 that an F-15 is far superior to serbian MiGs, still it poses a quite real threat and if you go against them like"oh I have amraam and TWS what can happen, continue read newspapers" you might be right in the end, but not safe.
-
Hello! roster is not a reason to change anything, its a consecvence of people thinking they are equal with 27er against an amraam. the problem is that in game you dont really die and your aircraft is 0$. so no problem if you die :-) IRL an eagle would turn away screaming if launched upon, because the other six was coming behind him. people tend to forget this while taking off. I assume You are not one of them, regarding where you worked. anyway, good to have you here!

Something wrong with wingtip vapor trails...
59th_LeFty replied to Pilotasso's topic in Object Errors
Oh come on, Is this really the whole attention paid to this? I thought I'll find a dozen of topics about this. Vortices are flowing in the wrong direction relative to aircraft axis - down, instead of up from the wing. My fellow fighter up here would like you to pay attention to his problem: shown here by FB of DCS:A10C https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/1273710_734101746607003_1615063481_o.jpg Another from this forum http://imageshack.us/a/img17/884/q9wm.jpg OK, now see how it should look like: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/a/a8/FA-18C_vapor_LEX_and_wingtip_1.jpg/800px-FA-18C_vapor_LEX_and_wingtip_1.jpg http://www.air-and-space.com/20040918%20Pt%20Mugu/DSC_3662%20F-15C%2078-549%2033FW%20left%20rear%20in%20flight%20l.jpg http://farm1.staticflickr.com/26/41788003_5e1f9ed239_z.jpg?zz=1 Man, I can do this all day. Thank you! This was the problem. Icould not see this in explorer . . . will never use it for DCS :D

I've read back like 10 pages. Do I get it right that Kuky tries to change RCS of an aircraft after chaff are dropped? Anyway, please don't touch RCS. Its one thing that (if nothing else, then only) feels realistic. Big aircraft, big distance. small aircraft, small distance. Quite simple. E.G.: Gripens vs F-15s IRL BVR, they detected each other at similar distances. I don't think I have to tell which is the bigger aicraft, and which one has a bigger antennae :) Oh and please don't consider RAM coating and other fancy high-tech stuff, it will lead to a "how can I polish my Eagle better to kill more Fulcrums" thing... Next time you'll argue about why not get Eagles the AESA radar. Why not just stay with good old regular aircraft properties? I mean, if there's RAM coating on F-15/16 aircrafts, I bet my 2 cents that 95% of the aircrafts don't have them... About Chaffs, it should not reduce target RCS relatively, it should give false echoes. And some type of ECM also gets false echoes. False contacts in DCS are not present, - don't get me wrong, keep up the good work, but - you guys should work on this sooner than how chaffs affecting radar track. Do you see it anytime that false contacts / noise can be present in game? (asking only because chaff, which you are talking about here, first of all are making false echoes)

I don't want to start another thread so just ask it here if you don't mind: I've made a couple of missions with the latest 1.2.5. version, but the editor simply don't see them. Every other mission I made earlier is present, but those three aren't. However, these three missions can be launched in multiplayer, only the editor seems to be bugges. Anyone encountered such problems? Thanks for any help! Here are the missions: 25A_gyak.MIZ 25A_gyak_MULTI.MIZ Nyeva.MIZ

Oh God, why such things still happen in DCS that my pretty R-77 successfully tracks down an F15 down to 15m close, and then just flies by near it and don't explode? I don't fly much these times but I thought this was forbidden since "new fancy missiles" era. Don't we have proxymities now?
-
Saying this you mean that a locked target has totally different values of handling the received echoes, right? Otherwise this statement is invalid. I guess that's what other don't take into consideration, thus attacking you.

Greetings everyone! Air show in Kecskemét is scheduled for this weekend (aug-3-4), every fanatic european pilot-soul should be here, because RUSSINA KNIGHTS have just arrived from Kubinka. Guys flew ~1900km and held a 30 minute show afterwards :D Damn, this plane carries A LOT of fuel... Pictures, videos, whatevers should belong in to this thread, in case there isn't another one already. RK pics soon, 'cause the photographer and the SD card are still in state of shock and treated in medical depearmtent of being Awesommed. Anyone from abroad visiting the show, like my friend <51>Camper, is Welcome! programs and other boring stuff found here: http://repulonap2013.hu/en Enjoy!

Since 1.2.5 release (yesterday) our server's consumption of RAM is heavily changed. For the first time our 64bit Win7 reported "Out of memory" performance issues refering to DCS, all other applications well within tolerance. A brief moment of 5.5G RAM was used out of 8G, surely it was higher before. 8G+ 2G swap settings. Fresh DCS start instantly consumes 3+G RAM Anyone encountered such issues?

Next DCS (Russian) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List
59th_LeFty replied to Milene's topic in DCS Core Wish List
WHAT? http://www.ausairpower.net/XIMG/Su-30-AAMs.png Dude, you blind? do you need a first hand info that an R-27R Alamo is definitely NOT ~43NM range???? Of course it depends on what tolerance does "~" accepts. If it goes a 100% below the stated value, then we could argue. Or if that~43NM clarifies to the Alamo, then aim-120 can reach ~150NM which is a solid 40NM on a plausible scenario. But maaaaaan, the Alamo is happy to reach 25km up high. Yes, you are right, I have never fired one, but I drunk too much beer with poeple who did. Oh maybe that beer makes me delusional. Cheers! :drink: NOT to make this offtopic and get my @ss banned, I still stand beside my point that a true multirole fighter in DCS would bing mobs to the servers. From the above lists, SM3 Flanker, MiG-29M (oh boy) could be the way. About the other multiroles we do know too few to do accurate moedling. I mean, yeah 'F-22 Lightning' was kinda' cool, but I wouldn't call it a sim. I'd rather sit in a hi-ditailed MiG-23 than a 'guess-what-that-button-do' Su35BM. I'd only like to know how to enforce my needs, knowing that most of the customers ED gets the money from, do not think like that :) -

Isn't Sukhoi Su-27SM3 'Flanker' an A2A only variant? -
I tried this with all the settings and drivers I could combine, and no luck. Besides, others are experiencing this too. Don't tell me, that invisibility of half of the instruments is a real-life event, saying things like this will make you look dumb, and clearly you never flew in a real aircraft.. And the HUD? How does it reflects, when it is a pair of DOWN tilted glasses??? No jokes please, can you imagine this in a real combat aircraft? I can't even see a single target on the HUD half of the time. Not speaking of that I can't even see through it. Ridiculous. need to be corrected. It is kind of sad to see that every time a patch solves something it also creates at least that much problems too... Oh, and this is not even with so called "HDR" on, which is like a permanent nuclear explosion. Its good for movies, but you know, on helmets, there are those huge black glasses you can fold down in front of your face to permit such disturbances, like SUNLIGHT.
-
Except that the sun shines through the entire cockpit behind me. So cockpit shadows is a must to avoid this, right?

Oh, roger that. Then it can wait a few days :) Thank you all for helping!

I got some more fancy problem. I've got a Combined Arms Key Code, but I cant install it due to the installer file on the website is still pre-1.2.4.11855.154 version. But to download the installer, the MManager redirects me to the website to buy it. Is it possible to get a working CA until there's no 1.2.4.11855.154 installer to it? (No, I won't re-install my DCS from scratch) Available installer on the website for CA is "CA_1.2.4.11652_168.exe"

I've tried it the hard way and extracted the mission file, changed the coalition list according to this, BUT DIDN'T WORK. Should it? If not, where is the coalition hardcode? Impossible is no answer for me sorry :) I'll go down to binaries if I have to. ["coalitions"] = { ["blue"] = { [1] = 11, [2] = 8, [3] = 13, [4] = 5, [5] = 16, [6] = 6, [7] = 15, [8] = 12, [9] = 9, [10] = 10, [11] = 3, [12] = 4, [13] = 2, }, -- end of ["blue"] ["red"] = { [1] = 17, [2] = 0, [3] = 1, }, -- end of ["red"] }, -- end of ["coalitions"] 0 Russia 1 Ukraine 2 USA 3 Turkey 4 UK 5 France 6 Germany 8 Canada 9 Spain 10 The Netherlands 11 Belgium 12 Norway 13 Denmark 15 Israel 16 Georgia 17 Insurgents 18 Abkhazia 19 South Ossetia 20 Italy

Sorry for OT, but this thread is HOT. I just got shot down by a TOR at ~13500m, I was hit before at some 8km altitude, buster climb. "Fell" up to 13500, when the other one hit. It was a test only mission with a TOR at 0m AMSL. I know, missile dynamics, and its great we are having a much more dynamic missile model, but 13500? for a TOR? I'd expect from a KUB at least to do that. Fun fact: The Osa even can hit you up to 8km, TOR seems deadly for everything that flies OVER it. However sometimes they tend to be dumb, or playing like they can't even fire at you, then they hit you az NEZ if you pick their nose hard enough.
-
Hi! Is there ANY way t oalter the coalitions after creating the mission? I know the units in countries which moved will be deleted, but its not a problem now. But I can't even see any GUI solutions to edit coalitions after the mission is created. Thanks!

I imagine Krasnodar C. vs Krasnodar P. battles :D -
How far can you place a launcher from Radar?
59th_LeFty replied to hachiman's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Right. FC2/DCs BUK LN are all TR variants. Would be nice to have LN only vehicle. And some loader trucks too :)
