  1. You really shouldn't worry too much. There are guys out there who rock this HOTAS for 10 years now... I love mine as well.
  2. I totally love the Viggen. Look and feel are top notch. For me personally, the sounds could be a bit better. Some of the switches and rotary knobs don't sount that good. It's not a huge deal, but I love good sounds, and they add a lot to the immersion for me. It'd be great if the Viggen was up to the standard of the Hind or P-47...
  3. That's true and well said, but all this teasing, YouTube, Easter egg, two weeks/ months thing is starting to get a bit bizarre...
  4. These are the things I tend to forget of I don't fly a module regularly... 90's tech is cool, the F15E will be full of it, right?
  5. Yeah, it's not that big of a deal! And I'll check if there are Initial Points on the F10 map of the TTI server, but I'm pretty sure there are. Haven't thought about these yet, so thanks a lot for the heads up!
  6. Thanks a lot! Ok, good to know that #0 is taken automatically, and that I can use the "Divert" page, really didn't think of that. I could also select #0 as steerpoint again, after the mission is completed, right? It's pretty neat in the Viggen that you can create flight plans on the F10 map, and choose the corresponding data cartridge on the ground...
  7. Hi there! I just began flying some of my planes (Viggen, A10C II) on the Through The Inferno Multiplayer Server. You select your aircraft and airbase to start from (on the ground, cold and dark) and choose a mission after spawning. In the Viggen it's super easy, I just enter a "blank" data cartridge and enter the code for departure and arrival airfield, plus the coordinates given by INTEL, and off I go. In the A10C II I've only flown SP missions and a campaign, in which the flight plan had been pre set (only a single waypoint needed to be set up, via TAD for instance) so far. So my question is, what's the best/ easiest/ quickest way to enter a flight plan, knowing my departure and arrival, and the coordinates for the targets (and having access to the F10 map)? Thanks a lot in advance for any input!
  8. Yeah, that was the first very clear statement concerning the release date in my opinion. Knowing that the beta testers will get it soon (?), probably means we're months away from release, rather than weeks.
  9. With the beta testers getting it soon, it's probably not that close. Personally, I don't have that much time for simming during the summer anyways. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on it by Q4 of 2023.
  10. Hmmm. I'm flying the "Through The Inferno" dynamic mission in the Viggen right now, mostly over the Falklands. It's good fun. But as the AJS-37 is (very) low and fast, one can see the low level of detail on the ground and the pretty "bad" mesh. It just feels a bit lifeless and worse than other maps. Sure, it's a (very) barren place in real life and It looks nicer from higher above, and/ or early morning or in the evening, but somehow, it just doesn't work for me...
  11. Thanks a lot for your effort! Right now, I'm still learning the Viggen, but the Mirage F1 is already parked in my hangar. Totally looking forward to flying your campaign!
  12. Hi there! I use VAICOM and SRS, both are running flawlessly. I want to fly in the Viggen on an online server. VA is set up to use two buttons of the coolie hat on my throttle, SRS the other two. First problem is, that after connecting to the server, the SRS radio panel is set to other frequencies than mentioned in the server briefing. Second is, that I can´t change the frequencies. If I change the freq in the Viggen, nothing happens with the SRS radios. I´m totally lost... EDIT: Solved, user error.
  13. I mark the road bases with 930x in the mission editor. They appear as 920x in the kneeboard (actual air bases), but it still works.
  14. Right! Thx a lot! This is what you need to do to use road bases as well, right? So I actually knew it... Thanks again!
  15. You're right. It would be even nicer for L1 / L2 points. But ok, if it's not possible, it's not the end of the world either. Thx a lot for Our quick reply!
  16. And that's true for the TM Warthog and Virpil products, in my opinion. But nevermind, I just wanted to give an answer, or my opinion on the original question.
  17. Hi there! I´m just learning the Viggen, and it´s really some very good fun! But I have one question. If I select an airbase as LS on the F10 map and load the corresponding data cartridge through the kneeboard, I know how I can select the reciprocal runway through "Bana Gräns". But how can I select a whole different runway if the air base has more than these two?
  18. Well, it depends, right? For me personally, this setup (will be around 1.000 EUR when finished) is high end. And I love flying with it. There are TM Warthog HOTAS out there that worked flawlessly for many many years.
  19. After many years with the Saitek X55, I got myself the TM Warthog some weeks ago. And the difference is huge! I totally love the look and feel of it. The stick is made out of metal and feels like the real deal. And the super heavy and exact throttle has metal shielding, where you touch it with your hand. The switches, buttons and hats on throttle and stick are also very robust and feel very high quality! The base of the Wathog is pretty stiff, and as I love flying helis as well, I've ordered a Virpil WARBRD-D base. The TM Warthog stick connects perfectly to the Virpil base. For me personally, the Virpil sticks and trottle (completely made out of plastic on the outside) are no option. But I'm really looking forward to trying out the base. Its mechanism is very versatile (adjustable clutch, etc) and a thing of beauty! I might add something that offers a few more additional buttons and axis to my setup in the future. (Something like this: https://virpil-controls.eu/vpc-sharka-50-control-panel.html)
  20. Hi there! I got pretty excited when I saw the previews last year. Especially the colours and the mountanis seemed to be pretty nice. So I've bought it on release day, also because I like supporting developers in our flight aim community. But to be honest, my initial impressions were not that great. The look of the map and the performance were really disappointing. I've done a quick flight some weeks ago to see how things developed, but it still doesn't "catch" me. Plus, I love campaigns, and in this regard, nothing seems to happen with the SA map. Which aircraft, missions and/ or servers could you recommend? I'd really like to enjoy this map... But as of now, I'm seriously thinking about uninstalling it when then Sinai map releases.
  21. So, in MT this problem doesn't occur? That would be great. Have to test that tonight. Edit: In MT, the EP13 works flawlessly! Very good!
  22. Just created a thread including a track file on this issue. Hope it gets fixed soon, as it makes the RB75 pretty useless right now.
  23. Hi there! I just got into the Viggen recently, and right now, I´m practicing the RB75. I flew the included training mission several times, and as soon as the EP13 is in use, the whole screen starts to flicker whenever I look straight forward. Changing zoom (zooming out), the viewpoint, or the view, stops the flickering. I´ve attached a track file. There, you can see this phenomenon right before I fire the missile, and again pretty hefty after I turn for another engagement. What is causing this strange behaviour? Thanks in advance for your help! RB75 Problem.trk
