Yeah, fantastic! Thx a lot!

Sorry if this is a dumb question, and I'm pretty sure that it works. But I don't know how. I'd like to bind the radar cursor and the RB05 stick of the Viggen to the coolie hat of my Warthog throttle. I'd like to use the pinkie switch as a modifier. So that when I keep it pressed, the coolie hat moves the RB05 stick, and otherwise it controls the radar cursor. Is this possible in DCS itself, whithout using the Target software? Thanks in advance for your help!

Spitfire module visual overhaul shown in Normandy 2.0 trailer
Mik75 replied to jackill's topic in DCS: Spitfire L.F. Mk. IX
If the sounds are good, I still get a highly immersive experience out of the module. This is the case for all the warbirds I own, except for the Dora. I especially enjoy the P-47 and the Anton in that regard. -
They do add up, or can be felt separately, depends on the frequency. In case of engine rumble and flaps, both can be felt though the Buttkicker.

Thx! I´ll definitely will have a look!

Very cool! I´ve watched the german tutorial series by Rakuzad, and it really motivated me! I just bought the Viggen, and I´m totally looking forward to learning it...

Very good! Will download tonight! Can I install it over the existing install, or do I have to remove things?

Anyone? Am I the only one having this issue?

Hi there! I totally love the new map. But one thing that carried over from the old Normandy map for me, are the flickering/ shimmering shadows. These are especially visible with the trees and during the hours of morning and late afternoon or evening. Is it a specific setting or an issue with my setup? I'm on standalone OB and upgraded from the old Normandy map. The update was around 45GB of download size, and the high res buildings all show up, so I guess the upgrade worked flawlessly. Thanks a lot in advance for your input!

After using this excellent piece of software (together with my Buttkicker) for two weeks now, I have to say that it is really amazing! It adds so much to my sim experience! I recently finished the Horrido campaign in the Anton, and started the Blue Nose Bastards campaign in the P-51. And especially these warbirds come to life with Simshaker Sound Module! I'm totally addicted to DCS right now!

Spitfire module visual overhaul shown in Normandy 2.0 trailer
Mik75 replied to jackill's topic in DCS: Spitfire L.F. Mk. IX
Well, in a way I have to agree. I just bought the Spit some hours ago. With the current sale and my miles, it's been a steal. And after a few circuits, take offs and landings, I have to admit that she's an absolute blast to fly! Other than the Mossie, I do own all warbirds now. And concerning the work together of graphics and sound (I use a Buttkicker with the excellent Simshaker Sound Modul), I must say that the P-47 is my absolute favourite. I'm looking forward to learning to fly the Spit! -
Spitfire module visual overhaul shown in Normandy 2.0 trailer

That looks really awesome. I don't own the Spitfire yet (although I may buy it during the sale), but with these graphics, it would be a no brainer. -
Wow, that's impressive!

Thanks a lot guys!!! Can't wait to get home. How big (GB) is the update download for those of you who got Channel and N1944?
-
I've bought the update already, but won't be home before next week to download it and give it a try. So, how is performance, FPS wise, for you guys, let's say compared to the old Normandy map?

A little thrustmaster tip for AH 64 start up.

What graphics card do you have? I'd personally go with 1080p on a size of 27". Anything above would definitely benefit from higher resolutions. I use a 3060Ti 8GB and 1080p with a 27" monitor and couldn't be happier.

Good lord! What a treat! It just worked flawlessly right after install. That already convinced me! Unfortunately, piston and jet engine rumble aren´t part of the demo. But the demo effects really convinced me! The buffet stall in the F16 alone made me wanting it instantly! I dropped you an email to get the payment sorted!

Ok, while I still use the USB headset? That´s why I used Voicemeeter.

Thanks for getting back so quickly. So, I don't need Simshaker for Aviators, but rather Simshaker Sound Module? And this software does, beside creating the LFE, provide the sound output through my onboard soundcard while I'm using the Logitech headset through USB?
-
Hi there! I have a Buttkicker Gamer (10 years old) that I use on the 3.5mm out of my onboard soundcard, coupled with an Logitech Pro X USB headset. I use the software Voicemeeter to send the sounds simultaneously into the Buttkicker and the USB headset. On the Buttkicker amp, I'm using the lowpass filter, so I get all the low frequencies on the Buttkicker. That works pretty good, and I've been using this setup for years. I'm getting rumble from the landing gear, stall buffeting, the weapons, etc., it's just all in the sounds of the aircraft already. As I understand, Simshaker for Aviators creates dedicated low frequency effects for the aircraft you're in. Would that enhance my experience considerably, and would the software work with my setup? Thanks a lot in advance for any input! Michael

These screenshots look breathtakingly good. It's hard to believe that it'll perform as good as the old Normandy map!
-
I don't know if it's because of the recent update, or if it's because I've fiddeld around with a script that I didn't get to work (it created a virtual controller and had its own assignments). But the switches in the aircraft don't have the same position that they have on my TM Warthog throttle when loading up a mission. The corresponding setting in DCS is ticked, and it worked very reliably. How can I get this feature working again?
-
See, there it is. Murphy's Law. On the other hand, I very happily support the developers that give us these super immersive sim moments. Really good times to be a flight sim nerd.

I hoped that the N2 would be released with the last update. I'm quite new to the WW2 arena in DCS, but I love flying on online servers, and some of the good ones are based on the Normandy map. As I own the Channel map, I wanted to wait for N2, and get it for the discounted price. Now it looks as if we had to wait a bit (months?) longer, and I pulled the trigger and bought the Normandy 1944 map. Maybe Murphy's law kicks in now, and the new version will release anytime soon. In that case, you'd owe me a beer, or two...
