Can this be accomplished using lua?

I shoud have become an aircraft designer, I made drawings of an aircraft with the same shape 4 years ago :pilotfly:

scorpion upgrade for the su-25. Have you seen the mig-35 sensors... I guess not. Maybe they are not up to American standarts.
-
that is the mig-28 guys!

the gun ammo on the russian fighters is low if you want to use it for ground attack, but agains a fighter a short burst is deadly the only problem with the Russian gun is that the airplanes have ramp up effect making a bit difficult to aim, if you look at the eagle it is easier t use the gun because it is more precise.

I never ever use this stuff jeje need to go back to school

scale landing gear with 100% functionality and also an air-brake; it is not crazy This is madness! before doing the fiver glass model he did a scale model with wood, then he covered with aluminum panels (real paneling) with all the bolts in place then he used this scale model to build the molds for the fiver-glass model, it also have carbon-fiver reinforcements. Note that jet model airplanes have a computer that controls the engines. Everytime this guys fly this models they have to go over checklists to see that all the systems work correctly, after the turn the jet engines on they go over another preflight checklist.... seroiusly this guys need to build something on scale 1:1

Do they wax this choppers, they look too shiny... fancy mechanics

is no curve or deadzone realistic for the f-15?
mikoyan replied to kingneptune117's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
I'm not an expert but what I know is that in some jets you will need to apply more force to the stick (some of them use 20 pounds) to reach certain amount of gs and aoa at a given time (very complex stuff that is why fly by wire programs have millions of lines) I guess the exemption to this is the the f-16 that doesn't reproduce stick forces but censes how much pressure you apply to the stick which barely moves. -

On the mig manual says that there is a limiter, when you reach 26 degrees (mig-29 a?) of AOA or more the stick has a kicker or pusher that moves the stick down a bit and reduces your AOA 5 degrees, this can be overridden by pulling more, but you risk getting into a departure and a wing rock (this seriously is missing in lock on ) how drastic is the wing rock; I'm not sure, since it looks like it can reach a seriously high alpha wile doing a cobra without going into a wing rock. It also says that it is not advised to pull too hard while going supersonic because you can break the airplane. The mig-29 flight control is simmilar to the eagle with he exemption of the auto trim of the eagle and the smoothness described by some pilots. so... we need advanced flight model and a joystick company to come up with a programable force feedback stick that can cense what the airplane is doing in the sim and capable to interact with than information to provide stick forces. -
:fear: howww muchhh for that me want one!

I saw a video on youtube about an boing 757 stalling on approach, to me it look pretty accurate but is that the case for the of the stock models? x-plane sky look to dark to me is that fixable? I have fsx an tried the x-plane demo to compare both on my mac and this are my conclusions: fsx looks better in stock form than x-plane environment looks too dark on x-plane xplane has a more fluid flight model in stock form (no addons) xplane comes with all the tools to make your own airplane xplane instruments are more fluid also stock airplanes on fsx look way better than stock models on xplane stock airplanes in both don't reproduce low speed high alpha characteristic close to the real airplanes. (disappointing to find that xplane has problems with that) ground model is to plain in fsx you barely feel like you landed an airplane , no vibrations, shaking, blown tires nothing! To conclude fsx initially; looks like it is a better sim but once you go deeper you start to see its limitations in stock form. X-plane you need to dig deeper into it to start see its advantages over fsx. My dream sim would be a sim with just 3 airplane models. This models should come with super accurate flight and 3d models, 3d cockpit. The environment should use all the strong points from fsx and x-plane. This sim should come with a model making tools like x-plane. It shoud come with missions that reproduce real life pilot experiences; something like a career mode.

My only objection is the unit cost, how on earth small countries are going to replace f-16s with this. I believe that they should develop a export version at a more reasonable price. Now how many f-16 have been lost in normal operation incidents? can small countries and the US finance the same amount of loses for an f-35 operational life. I figure that it will be safer but still, this thing will be doing a tons of different missions with different environments.

At his level of expertise, he should build a real airplane, this model reproduces every panel on the real jet with all the bolts and rivets. (the cockpit shapes is not correct; I guess due to inaccurate drawings)

We are also missing the ruder stick interconnection to roll at high AOA. Unfortunately the sim doesn't reproduce lots of staff and we don't have a stick that mimics the forces on the real jet. For example the mig-29 has a stick pusher, to reproduce that we would have to program a force feedback joystick and make it work according to what the airplane is doing. -
looks like the used the fuselage of their mig-21, why develop a fighter like this? I tough that they were working on their own version of the jack-130

Russian Knights Su-27 slides off the runway (10-06-2010)
mikoyan replied to Frazer's topic in Military and Aviation
doesn't look like there is lots of damage; fighters are very strong most of the times they end up in one piece. -
A superhornet air-show display is just orgasmic with those crazy high AOA moves the only thing I would add to that jet is more powerful engines then it would be epic. Now the raptor is not the top of the line anymore, the f-35 is going to be way more advanced than the f-22; but still there is nothing like a pure fighter.

This are cool drawings but they are a bit off... i know because I been trying do mode......:smilewink:

That is not the case in Russia, look at Anatoly Kvochur he has ejected twice and he still going, or maybe the russian ejection seats are better?
-
That is not the reason, the Russians knew that it was to expensive to operate and never put it into service.

Early migs-29 had a ground attack mode to launch a nuclear bomb, the profile was something like a low level approach at high speed and then right at the target the pilot would do a steep climb releasing the bomb with the airplane climbing and getting away from the bomb; then the bomb would fall back to the ground, by then the mig-29 would be "safe" the pilots were assured that some the basic nav instruments would work after the explosion.
