Failed to get auth data Error code 503 Hey guys, Just trying to download F18C and tried launching DCS 2.5 open beta... I get an error that says "Failed to get authorization data. Error code is 503. Using Saved authorization." Then when it does launch and I pick F18C to download from modules, I get "Version 2.5.217559.377 is not available" during the update/download process. Any help? :(

Hey guys, I currently have the Samsung 49 inch ultra wide monitor that's 3840 x 1080. Everything looks good until I move my head around with the track ir. It will then warp the edges on the monitor and pretty much takes the image out of proportion. Like a cockpit frame on an a10 will look very thick etc. I can provide a screen shot of it'll help. This only happens in dcs... Any ideas how to fix this?

Hey everyone, I just ordered the 49" ultrawide Samsung monitor (along with a 8700k 2x 1080 ti) I'm curious if this monitor is supported with dcs where I can use it to it's full ability or will it stretch the screen? Thanks!

Yeah, I'm down for sure! I'll shoot you a PM. Thanks guys! I will try out rolling the enemy and see how that works out. I kind of understand the scissor maneuver now. You are pretty much banking left, then banking right and out rolling the guy behind you. This will work well with planes like P51 and FW190 that can roll quickly. eventually he can't keep up and hopefully you get behind him. I guess I don't like B&Z because you have pretty much one shot at getting them when youre coming down on them. Once you open up, you will have to climb back up and try again, but at this point he's coming after you as well... I'll have to take you up on the pvp thing we can practice some manuevers.

Hey guys, Not sure where to post this as it's a general WWII DCS planes question, and not specific to one plane, but I figured I start here and maybe go to the individual sub forums when I know where I need to go. I started flying the WWII exclusively as of few days ago(been in and out of DCS for years now). I got the normandy/asset combo and got P51, FW190 and the spitfire. I've flown in WWIIOL back in the day (2000) and loved the ME109 and the spitfire. No other WWII sims really... I also have my PPL w/IFR, so I have some IRL flying experience as well (some knowledge of flight). I understand the P51, FW190 and ME109 are not really turn fighters, but really boom and zoom. Spitfire is more of a turn and burn kind of plane. Well I've been flying the P51, and I'm just all over with the plane, if you aren't careful with that plane, you bleed speed SO fast, and stalling from aoa. FW190 seems more stable, but just can't turn. I'm OK with the spitfire as I can outturn a 109 and eventually get on his tail, but there's gotta be a way I learn how to fly the P51 and FW190 more efficiently. (Don't have 109 yet. I feel like I wasted 100 bucks yesterday because I can't fly these things worth a damn! lol) Looking for some suggestions... I'm flying against the AI (109s) in easy setting via instant action for now. I like the FW190 because of the auto prop, which is one less thing for me to worry about, but I can't even turn with a P51 in that thing! I have X55 setup and perhaps I need to set curves and saturations. What kind of flying should I be doing when I'm in a P51 or FW109 and the enemy is on my tail? slight climb and hope I can get out of the enemy's gun range? steep climb? dip down, make speed and then spring up? I'm so lost :doh: Guide me in the right direction please!

I'm having similar problems myself. I lowered the RPMs to about 2800 which I think helps with my engine dying. I'm alright with the spit, but I do lose it chasing ai 109s in turns sometimes. I'm using X55. What kind of curves/saturation should I be looking at? (can't really figure out what saturation are anyways) oh and I run out of the cannons very quickly, so I'm not very efficient with the leading (especially when they are under my cowling and I have to guess).

I will confirm and do one with speed brakes off... it has worked for me in the past with an X52 setup (dual stage trigger) right now I'm on X55 and thumb button is setup as PAC

air brakes were on a few times I did it, but not all the time. I wasn't banked (just pitched down) and no warnings (tried from instant action easy so I was airborne and ready to shoot) I'm really puzzled... I will get a video up when I get a chance so you guys can see what's going on.

I'm getting some serious upward pitch when I fire the cannon. I have PAC on and I see it on the hud. as soon as I fire the cannon, i start pitching up.... any help? I don't think I'm missing a step... I saw a video on youtube and that thing is rock steady with PAC-1 on. mine is nowhere near it... perhaps I need a video

For the life of me, I can't get the trim to trim the plane... I have the trim mapped to my X55. It's actually set to the trim button on there (H1). When ingame, if I utilize the trim hat, I actually see the trim hat on the in game joystick move, so it's mapped correctly. But I can sit there for a minute holding nose down, and nothing happens... any help guys? Trim function should be fairly simple eh?

Hey everyone, I'm currently on 1.2.16.43180 and I was getting the update via the updater until my system crashed due to something unrelated... now when I launch DCS world, it's skipping the updates. Is there a way for me to force the updater, or do I have to uninstall EVERYTHING and reinstall??? :helpsmilie: Appreciate some help! perhaps there is a way to launch the updater manually

ok this is the error I'm getting right now... any help? I installed BS1, activated it (didn't uninstall yet) then installed BS2 and get this error when I use my BS2 upgrade serial number. Could this be because the DCS website only has the full version for download and not the upgrade? I bought the upgrade, so maybe that's why it's not working because I'm trying to use an upgrade serial on a full version download? where do I find the upgrade version to download? it's no longer on the website. this is a pain in my a** :(

I've had BS1 from a while back and bought the BS2 upgrade few years back. Trying to install BS2 now and It's not taking the update serial when i try to enter it. Can someone tell me how I need to install BS2 on my DCS world? DO I have have install BS1, followed by BS2 or something?

I've watched a few videos regarding flying the KA50 (I would say the hardest thing for me to fly right now because I can't figure out the AP/TRIM system). I remember when I used to fly 1.2.5, the steering diamond did indeed reset to the new heading when I used the trim function... I started flying again, and I noticed that I can't get the steering diamond to reset to the new heading after I use the trim button. any help in this matter?

Figured it out. my old DCS install directed me to D drive, but the new one directs to C drive, (this includes my users folder) so I was trying to find the folder in the old directory. Figured it out now.

I did some research and can't find on how to change the ROE for my gunners... any help? To do so, delete (or rename if you wish to keep a backup) the saved input configuration folders (files) located in \WINDOWS DRIVE\User\User Name\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input\UH-1H\. It doesn't help me because I don't see UH-1H there. I only see A10C help please? I'm surprised I don't even see a sub forum for the huey?

it actually deleted the launcher.exe and failed to update it. Oh well... I guess I'll just do a fresh install.

Haven't played in a few months and attempted to update the game. It asked if I want to update from 1.2.5 to 1.2.7.... I attempted to do it and now I'm getting an error that says: Can't run E:\DCS World\bin/Launcher.exe(2) The system cannot find the file specified any help? I would hate to uninstall and reinstall!!! I have like 5 modules I'll have to re-install :(

yeah just figured out how to mark the red triangle on the TAD as a mark point and use the mark instead of FPLAN. that was helpful. need to understand how to plug in the coords into the CDU though. that would help too. make it a WP
